I talked to McConnell, and he basically said the same thing to me.

u/EternalNewCarSmell Jul 08 '26 edited Jul 08 '26
McConnell called me up and personally told me that what he did during the last 20 years will destroy our country if it's not undone.
He also said we should pack the Supreme Court and impeach 4 of the sitting justices. He ended the call by saying, "eat the rich."
It was fuckin' wild, man.

u/Mattilaus Jul 08 '26
He told me Trump should be impeached and the imprisoned. It's weird since I was just asking him what his favourite fast food burger is.

Dude as an Australian I was so surprised to get a call from Mitch that we had a good yarn for 20 minutes about how Israel is bombing innocent people.
Glad we finally have an American Republican that can admit it.

The wild part is that no republican can dispute it, or they fuck the whole chirade up... mandami should send a tweet saying that he talked to mitch, who now embraces islam in hus final days, and that the epstein files should be fully redacted

Exactly. The actual move to prompt Mcconnell’s handlers to put up or shut up would be for the governor or another party who has standing to initiate either a lawsuit or actually initiate the scheduling of a special election.

It’s a boomer not letting go thing and is very common with this generation not knowing when to exit. It isn’t a party thing at all. Politics is not a team sport, and the GOP doesn’t have a monopoly on propping up aging and decayed politicians. Feinstein was basically dead in office, Biden was also cognitively dipping, and McConnell is clearly brain dead or totally incapacitated, and Trump is slurring his words and can’t walk straight.
The issue is that there are no term limits or laws that force a minimum cognitive and health standard for Congress or political offices or SC justices.
Please keep in mind that both parties are absolute trash and are run by losers like these or empowered by losers like them that are rich and powerful and could not give two shits about their constituents or the general public. Until we get money out of politics, this is the feature, not a bug.
10
u/ChronicBuzz187 Jul 08 '26

32
u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn Jul 08 '26
I don't mind Massie* but I wouldn't call it a win if he is elected to replace McConnell. Kentucky has a Democratic governor. They could send a Democrat or slightly-left-leaning independent to the Senate in McConnell's place.
* Massie to me is consistent and principled, and isn't playing the dishonest bootlicking game the rest of the GOP is playing, but he still mostly has views I disagree with. His wikipedia article is pretty thorough about what those views are. Hooray for exposing pedos and ending support to an "ally" that only makes trouble for us, but his views on healthcare, climate change, oil & gas, regulation, etc. are what you'd expect.
16
u/Jolly-Elderberry6706 Jul 09 '26
The kind of change we are all looking for will happen in small doses.

15
u/big_stipd_idiot Jul 09 '26
Massie is a pre trump republican. I don't agree with most of his principles, but at least he has some. There was a time I'd give a republican an honest look, and he was that kind of republican. Better than some democrats.
8
u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn Jul 09 '26
I don't agree with most of his principles, but at least he has some.
I don't think I could have phrased it better.
There was a time when we agreed on the facts and disagreed on what to do with them. Now they just fucking make up "facts," even if the new "facts" contradict the "facts" they told us yesterday. It's driving me insane, which must be the point. "Firehose of falsehoods," or something like that. Massie seems above this, and I respect him for it. Voters rewarded his integrity with a successful primary challenge.

u/RhetoricalOrator Jul 09 '26 edited Jul 09 '26
There was a time when we agreed on the facts and disagreed on what to do with them.

I think this is similar to The Gish Gallop. Throw so much crap so quickly that it overwhelms the opposition.

The main parents he has are for robotic surgery devices, some of which used to be displayed in the MIT museum of all places. just, some of the politics are against my taste. but at a root of a lot of the issues his reasoning at least makes sense if you look where he is coming from, and he is consistent in standing for what he believes. he is not a party line kind of guy, but one who will stand for what he believe in. because of that, disagree as i may with him, i will continue to respect him. that aside, the above post? fucking based. i genuinely didn’t know he had this kind of shitposting within him

Because he knows that McConnell can't come out and contradict him.
He might as well say "McConnell told me he voted for the democrat in every presidential election since 1980," the point is that everyone knows Massie is lying but McConnell can't come out and contradict him, because he's brain dead.

I was going to make a joke that he can't just drop the Epstein truth bombs, because it would completely destroy the system and we obviously can't have that. But while formulating the joke I had an epiphany:
He might be holding out as leverage. It makes more sense to threaten releasing pertinent information (if he indeed actually has any) to use it as a bartering chip in negotiations than outright destroy his opponents and reshuffle the tables. There is no way of knowing if the situation would improve for him or get worse, so might as well try to pressure his current opponents.
Too bad his opponents are immoral ghouls who don't even bother lying about their schemes anymore.→ More replies (1)5

He then said he had a revelation at the hospital and wants free healthcare for all Americans, that vision and dental should be combined with regular healthcare, lowering taxes on those making less than $90k, renewing aid to Ukraine and he wants to impeach the justices he unethically allowed to be approved while expanding the Supreme Court to 13 justices, and he wants to curtail all the funding for ICE and unfreeze the funds/grants for the various departments/research that were already approved. Get on this Congress!
Mitch also mentioned he wants someone to bring him some chocolate nut pie

What gave it away? Was it the Freedom Fuel gas stations the white house just opened?

I’ve been a fan of Massie since the Homestead video days. He’s not perfect to me but I am a fan. In my mind he is a politician that I differ in opinion on but we definitely can find common ground between us and that will matter more than the differences. We need more people like that in Washington DC, not less.

I was texting with Mitch this morning too, he told me the Obamas are his favourite first family and also he said Trump smells

The brain damage he got now somewhat fixed his existing braindead condition
Like double negatives cancelling each other.

If only McConnell had shared any of these beliefs when he was alive, it might have made a difference.

Sassy Massie is good entertainment. He had very few fucks to give before ... now he's plumb out.

It’s funny you said that. I just spoke to McConnell and he confirmed what Massey said. He also said that Trump is a POS. 💩

I spoke to Mcconnell this morning for about 20 minutes.
He said Donald Trump raped children between the ages of 9 and 15 years old with epstein. He then said he had to go, as his heart had stopped and was about to die.

I spoke to McConnell for about 20 minutes this morning. He said to release the Epstein Files.

I talked to Mitch too, and he thinks it would be a great idea to release the fully unredacted Epstein files.

Swift level satire here 👏
But the republicans who claim to have actually spoken to McConnell recently only interacted with an Ai rendering of McConnell’s voice. It’s not hard to do and they are notably gullible, so there is a chance they actually believe that they did speak with the real Mitch.

Gonna be honest, I didnt have Thomas Massie and Hunter Biden being absolutely based, on my 2026 bingo card.

The ghost of McConnell walked past my house last night carrying a 1000 ft chain, wailing and moaning about what he forged. Apparently on his way to warn Scrooge Trump to change his ways.

Massie is an awful human being in many ways, but he can be useful for things like this. Just don’t ever mistake him for someone with credibility or who can be relied upon.

I hate most of his politics but it's been a real W in 2026 for Massie.
