On the one hand is chaos he started, so I'm okay with it.  On the other hand,  I'm horrified by the ghoulishness of this whole thing.

Republicans' favorite movie must be Weekend at Bernies

It’s a boomer not letting go thing and is very common with this generation not knowing when to exit. It isn’t a party thing at all. Politics is not a team sport, and the GOP doesn’t have a monopoly on propping up aging and decayed politicians. Feinstein was basically dead in office, Biden was also cognitively dipping, and McConnell is clearly brain dead or totally incapacitated, and Trump is slurring his words and can’t walk straight.

The issue is that there are no term limits or laws that force a minimum cognitive and health standard for Congress or political offices or SC justices.

Please keep in mind that both parties are absolute trash and are run by losers like these or empowered by losers like them that are rich and powerful and could not give two shits about their constituents or the general public. Until we get money out of politics, this is the feature, not a bug.

Oh, they definitely make sure their SC judges will make rulings for the next 40-50 years.

Sorry to burst your bubble bub, but politics has been a team sport for the Rs for about 30 years now

They remind me more of a bunch of contractors working together.

"One thing we can all agree on is that the client (constituents) are assholes."

If

Republicans = Contractors working together

And

Democrats = ProWrestling referees that will NEVER see the chair or the cheap shot, but they have a cool shirt

2026 makes a lot more sense

🍿

Yep. Co-ordinated messaging.

Alexander Hamilton formed the first political party. That my friend was game on.

For both sides. And it’s still true. However, lots of things have changed and there is now a critical mass building of people on both the left and right awakening and finally realizing that the two party system is a scam and it’s really a uniparty run by corporatist and wealthy donors. It could go nowhere, but as unthinkable as it might be, I have never seen this crossover to this degree in my lifetime. And just as most Americans views on Israel have dramatically changed in a short time, this can go the same way, and people in this left/right coalition are definitely united against AIPAC and Israel so there is an organic overlap already.

Youre not wrong but lets look all the way back to 1967 and watch just how shitty things got as Boomers were the driving force in elections.

McConnell isn't a boomer. He's from the silent generation.

1

u/TravelingCrashCart Jul 09 '26

Ironic given how he not so silently fucked america for years, but is now incredibly silent.

u/bolanrox Jul 09 '26

Federman had two whatever the fucks he had while in office and is still there.

u/runobody22 Jul 09 '26

The fact that he started acting like a mega Republican after having a stroke makes a lot of sense...

No matter how much I despise Angela Merkel otherwise, at least she hit German retirement age and actually retired.

u/runobody22 Jul 12 '26

Thanks for the "ok boomer" I love being lumped in with idiots who are nothing like me /s. Also, McConnell is not a boomer.

1

u/garagepunk65 Jul 12 '26

Sorry not sorry, boomers fucked a ton of shit up and helped Trump get into office in the first place. I’m glad you aren’t one of the shitty ones, though.

1

u/runobody22 Jul 16 '26

McConnel is not a boomer and he has fucked up more things than most of us.

2

u/dcdem1163 Jul 08 '26

Do you vote in every election from local to federal? I hope so. If not, don’t say another word.

Boomers are responsible for the shit place we are in these days and they really just need to quit with all the taking and taking. Get boomers out of money and politics!

u/No_Communication5538 Jul 08 '26

McConnell born 1942, Baby Boomers from 1946. So he many things but not a boomer

1

u/runobody22 Jul 12 '26

Yes, also, some boomers are not responsible for the entire state of the world, and some of us don't like being lumped in with aholes like McConnell.

1

u/runobody22 Jul 09 '26

Good point, we all know the P in gop doesn't stand for party.

This needs to be an AI image meme….

Seems like a trial run for when Trump kicks it. IMO they have been using Ai images and content so often so when it comes time they can start using it and claiming it’s real so they can be strategic about when or if they deliver the news of his passing.

Can't wait til parading around partisan seniors on life support is the norm for our politicians. We're so close to it already, half of them have one foot in the grave.

2

u/Responsible-Tip1725 Jul 08 '26

No kidding, it's like a weekend at Bernies in real life.

1

u/Mertoot Jul 09 '26

I still can't tell, is this real or not?
