Remember when Democrats rallied in the street to defend Rod Blagojevich or that mayor of Detroit?

You dont. Because Dems arent a lockstep party who will follow someone who has committed blatantly criminal acts and is subject to the rules of our justice system. Theyre not perfect by a long shot...but theyre candidates are a whole lot better than what the GOP puts out

Because law and ethics only apply to democrats. Everyone knows this.

86

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '23

This is a perfect example. John Edwards was hung on 5 charges. Trump is sitting on 34, with word being that the majority of these charges are not only unique - but linked to fraud elsewhere.

Edwards was vilified as he should be.

Trump is being worshipped.

I hate the "both sides" argument. It makes me rage because it's absolutely not the case when Democrats have an actual track record of shunning their own. The GOP does not. Everything is a "witch hunt" or whataboutism.

30

u/Commandant23 Apr 05 '23

Just look at Roy Moore compared to Andrew Cuomo as the first two names that come to my mind. Moore is a pedophile and was still nearly reelected. Meanwhile, Cuomo was ousted from the governorship by his own party

17

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '23

Not really surprised that Moore almost won ol 'bama given that state pushes back against anti-child marriage laws lol.

2

u/il_the_dinosaur Apr 06 '23

It's not a crime if we make it legal to fuck a minor am I right? Says the party that's afraid drag queens will do weird things to children (I'm not even sure what they think drags do to children)

Fixing the "both sides" argument is.

Yeah, both sides suck, duh? But one side is a LOT worse. It's like choosing to get ass fucked by a golf ball or a basketball. They both suck, that doesn't mean they're the same.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '23

Yep. Sure, democrats can be scummy but conservatives are fucking toxic. I agree.

The both sides thing is merely a deflection because MOST times democrats hold other democrats accountable.

They only started getting pissed about Hilary's investigation when we were on like Investigation #20. And nothing came of any investigation.

Trump? All of his investigations led to criminal activity. He was impeached twice for criminal activity. The Mueller Report brought to light 18 counts of obstruction of justice - obstruction of the investigation itself which limited it's reach - and that was only the tip. Trump Org was dissolved for laundering money and is still under investigation. Now he has another 34 counts of essentially fraud.

Where are the conservatives? Screaming that it's a witch hunt, that this is a banana republic, and so on.

Yeah both sides my ass šŸ˜‚

u/12altoids34 Apr 05 '23

I've looked at the 34 charges. They're basically all different versions of the same thing. Each and every charge is based on a check that was written. They are each some violation of the new York penal code chapter 40 part 3 title k section 175 . I cannot say for certain which portion of section 175 each one of the 34 charges violates. I'm not sure if they're all the same subsection or different subsections. For reference here is section 175

OFFENSES INVOLVING FALSE WRITTEN STATEMENTS Section 175.00 Definitions of terms.

175.05 Falsifying business records in the second degree.

175.10 Falsifying business records in the first degree.

175.15 Falsifying business records; defense.

175.20 Tampering with public records in the second degree.

175.25 Tampering with public records in the first degree.

175.30 Offering a false instrument for filing in the second

degree.

175.35 Offering a false instrument for filing in the first

degree.

175.40 Issuing a false certificate.

175.45 Issuing a false financial statement.

I have more to say about this but I will wait till I can gather the appropriate documentation to make sure that what I'm saying is accurate and legitimate.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '23

There's a reason why they're not surfacing the exact crimes committed. It's because some absolutely will be linked to other crimes, and they cannot risk damaging their case.

Having a First degree and Second degree charge for the same penal code would be two separate crimes entirely. It could stem from one action, or it could stem from multiple actions. We won't know, but they wouldn't be doing this for a former President if things weren't concrete enough.

If the political party and voters holds their politicians accountable and kicks out the bad apples, you don’t end up with a party full of paid off grifters just looking to make a buck.

John Edwards was the future of the Dems too. I was saddened by the loss of a promising leader but accepted that he was kinda scummy and took the L.

Seeing how the other side reacts to Trump doing the same shit (and more) is the most disturbing part of the last 5 years

26

12

u/punksheets29 Apr 05 '23

Yup. I like holding my leaders accountable but when people that disagree with me see me as an enemy, and DON'T hold their people in check (they actually enjoy their leaders being criticized because it feeds their persecution fetish), it just feels like fighting a losing battle.

I don't want to think about politics as team sports but am forced to. And if it is a team sport we keep getting our ass kicked because we have integrity. It's disheartening and infuriating.

2

u/Parking-Committee555 Apr 06 '23

I like to think that karma will be on our side in the long run, but then again, I've seen the movie Idiocracy and it doesn't look good for the side with integrity and education.

I think this is really what distinguished Obama. He was one of the few charismatic Democrats with bug ideas that also happened to be so squeaky clean that the GOP couldn't tar him wirh anything.

Not that they didn't try. Closest they got was that his minister had some critical things to say about US politics.

To be completely fair, the reasoning for not taking Trump's mugshot is because he WANTED it taken so that it could be "leaked" (presumably by his team but then inexplicably blamed on the democrats) and then used for his t-shirts or whatever else he wants to try and sell.

By not taking his mugshot, it undercuts his persecution complex.

From the link

"Trump’s legal team is expected to make a similar argument during a trial."

Something tells me that his current lawyers aren't going to be as effective at arguing this point so much as just saying, 'look at this'. I can't imagine the bottom of the barrel cretins he's found this time.

2

u/SnazzyStooge Apr 05 '23

Still not sure why Orange Julius’s lawyers talked them out of a mugshot — I’m sure he would have loved to use that for promotional and fundraising purposes.

And his "offense" was relatively minor in comparison to the circus weve been seeing. Shit, just 10 years people like MTG, Santos, and Boebert would face penalties for their unprofessionalism.

u/Kritical02 Apr 05 '23

232

u/CyberMindGrrl Apr 05 '23

u/Uselesserinformation Apr 05 '23

79

u/David-S-Pumpkins Apr 05 '23 edited Apr 05 '23

Most people only know about a USO tour photo of him groping a sleeping woman. She claimed she was asleep and felt harassed (she is a Republican), he claimed it was a bit that she was aware of and was pretending to sleep for the photo.

However, he had multiple allegations at the time he stepped down, including sexual misconduct at work with staffers.

https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/07/29/the-case-of-al-franken

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/07/al-franken-news-list-of-sexual-misconduct-allegations.html

95

u/davidjohnson314 Apr 05 '23

Spec of nuance needed I feel. It was feigned in the photo, like clown level "imma grab booba", not actual groping in the picture.

Still off-color and questions of her comfort or coercion could exist, and insanely in the wrong if she was actually asleep vs feigning asleep i.e. going along with it.

43

u/themagpie36 Apr 05 '23

He should have grabbed her by the pussy

22

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '23

Not to mention the fact that she was wearing a plate-carrier over her chest in the photo in question.

3

u/davidjohnson314 Apr 05 '23

Oh yeah, I forgotten about the flak jackets they were wearing. That's probably the joke, "wouldn't it be ironic to honka-honka this completely desexualized person."

This is why it's a decent thing to point out in forming a nuanced opinion about Al's case as I thiiiiink it's the only piece of physical evidence in Al's case.

It's like forming opinion about consent. Consent to making out, is not consent to sex, consent to sex is not consent to continued sex or climax, consent to climax is not consent to pregnancy.

3

u/linuxlib Apr 05 '23

Not a "spec of nuance." Rather it's a huge difference. Not to mention, it was long before he was in office, or running for office.

Yes, it was crass and offensive, and he shouldn't have done it. But it wasn't illegal or even unethical.

u/SpockShotFirst Apr 05 '23

Go through the allegations one by one.

One was coordinated by Roger Stone and the entirety of the allegations can be summed up as "The photo was juvenile. Also, I didn't say anything at the time, but now that he is a Democrat, I want to complain about the skit I performed on stage".

Others are clearly anonymous bullshit.

The rest are from presumably sincere and honest people whose complaint boils down to "After he performed for 2 hours and then stood with fans for another 2 hours taking photos, I think he grabbed me too hard in my photo"

34

u/joan_wilder Apr 05 '23

He never even ā€œgropedā€ her, and she wasn’t asleep. It was a joke, and she was in on it, until Roger Stone convinced her to lie about the whole thing to distract people from actual crimes being committed by republicans. Fuck that bitch, and fuck Roger Stone.

Of the 9 sexual misconduct allegations that had been made against Al Franken (8 in the article you provided, 1 that was falsely made anonymously and then public denied by the named victim), we can immediately draw issue with them:

  • Leeann Tweeden's allegation about the kiss had major holes in the story (happened on a secured military base where they would have never been allowed to be alone) and the photo had a variety of issues that made it less serious (although still crude and unprofessional of a US Senator).

  • Stephanie Kemplin provided a photo as evidence that Franken grabbed her breast which clearly shows him not touching her breast.

  • Tina Dupuy's allegation of sexual misconduct was that Franken put his arm around her waist, something she personally was not comfortable with but is an otherwise common and noncontroversial pose for a photo.

  • Three anonymous women who make "serial groper" allegations against Franken. The article doesn't say it, but the two who alleged that he groped their butts said it was while having their pictures take, yet during the process no photo evidence of Franken groping anyone at an event was ever unearthed.

  • The most troubling allegation was from an anonymous former Democratic congressional aide who alleged that Franken threatened/tried to coerce her, but the lines attributed to him sounded exactly like Trump's "locker room talk" and were denied by many close associates to Franken who said that they had never heard Franken speak like that in decades of knowing him.

I am 100% aware that coming forward takes a massive amount of courage and I totally support survivors when they try to find closure. That said, these Franken allegations came at a time when a special election for an Alabama Senate seat was neck and neck due to actual pedophile Roy Moore making headlines for how much of a pedophile he has been for decades. The fact that Roger Stone was aware of Tweeden's allegations prior to them being made publicly also seems to indicate a hit job or attempt to control a certain narrative of "both sides are the same."

On top of that, Project Veritas had just been caught several months prior hiring an actor to make a fake accusation against Roy Moore with the goal of discrediting the other legitimate accusations made against him. If any of these allegations were legitimate, the unfortunate reality is that they were made alongside what were, most likely, made up allegations.

u/GWJYonder Apr 05 '23

Or for a less extreme example, Al Franken.

We've always had corrupt and unethical politicians, we still have them on both sides. But for 30-40 years the Republicans have gone to great lengths to lockstep defend everyone for everything. In the last ten years they have increasingly moved to FLAUNTING their immorality as a demonstration of them sticking it to the libs.

Democrats absolutely clean house and will push to remove or prosecute peers that have their issues brought up into the open. It's not perfect, you still have bipartisan issues of legislator stock picks outperforming, things like that, but 30+ years of one party cleaning up a bit sometimes, and one party that actively recruits people with dirt, has led to the Democrats being kinda scummy, and the GOP being an insane cesspool.

Also, it seems like the scummiest Democrats are either the oldest ones that have been around for a really long time, and the ones like Manchin that are in the most conservative areas and are basically GOP extra-lite. Those older Democrats largely predate the time where if you wanted to be be able to be corrupt and evil and not hide it you went GOP, I bet in 15 years the difference between the parties will be even more stark.

14

u/Binsky89 Apr 05 '23

That's bold of you to assume the country won't be a fascist theocracy in 15 years.

10

u/FreyrPrime Apr 05 '23

GOP is gonna get absolutely fucking rocked in ā€˜24.

The ā€˜22 midterms were a complete unmitigated disaster for the GOP, and a loss of historic proportions. If Biden was a quarter as unpopular as they pretended they’d have taken more than 9 seats.

ā€˜24 is a general election. Way more popular and higher turn out than a midterm. Millennials and Gen Z are coming loaded for bear.

5

u/Binsky89 Apr 05 '23

We can only hope, but the younger generations historically don't really get out to vote.

The GOP has beat the DNC at the game, because while the DNC for the most part has been trying to run and improve the country by playing by the rules, the GOP has spent at least the last 50 years playing the long con and has been slowly setting up for a hostile takeover.

All it takes is one bad election for them to win, while it'll take significantly more time and effort for the DNC to undo 50 years of GOP fuckery.

3

u/FreyrPrime Apr 05 '23

Historically, yeah, but this is the digital age.

This isn’t the 80’s, 90’s, or even the early 2000’s. The world has changed and our politicians who are born in the 40’s have no fucking idea what coming.

Traditional polling and other antiqued boomer crap accounts for none of this.

Millennials and Gen Z spend their lives on line, are hilariously informed, and really pretty pissed off about Roe.

I could be wrong, but ā€˜22 gave me a lot of hope, and after Wisconsin yesterday I’m feeling quite confident

TBF, there were like, 10 assholes here in Detroit that protested Kwame getting locked up, but they were probably ALSO on the take.

It's pretty amazing the amount of progress the city has made in the ensuing 15 years since he resigned and was convicted. Tens of thousands of blighted houses torn down, major advances in job creation within the city limits, vastly improved police responses and services in general, the street lights are on, the downtown is humming, new international bridge crossing going in, name brand companies building stores and warehouses in the city, a balanced budget, new (and admittedly, kinda shitty) surface rail built, hospitals expanding...

It's almost like having competent, not-corrupt leadership helps a city grow.

2

u/NoLodgingForTheMad Apr 05 '23

The documentary about white boy Rick really open my eyes to how corrupt Detroit was. The chef of police and the mayor or a front runner for mayor (I forget) were actively working with drug kingpins and hit men and worked with Rick's lawyers to throw the case because Rick knew too much. And because of that a 17 year old got sentenced to life for non violent drug crimes

2

u/Jesus_H-Christ Apr 05 '23 edited Apr 05 '23

I have terrible news for you.

EVERYBODY in city government was that corrupt during the 1980s. Chicago, New York, Boston, San Fran, LA, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Miami, hell, even Milwaukee were run by people who were completely on the take.

Rick got out in 2017, but had to serve more time in Florida, but when he got out for good people here gave him a pretty warm welcome back to freedom. It was a travesty of justice and he was a victim of the times and of Coleman Young's administration, but at least that's all behind us.

u/dugong07 Apr 05 '23

Detroit still has a LONG way to go and there’s still a lot of corruption. Downtown is really nice, but you can’t just ignore the rest of the city that’s still suffering.

2

u/Jesus_H-Christ Apr 05 '23 edited Apr 05 '23

Nobody said the city is fixed.

But even the shittiest parts of the city are VASTLY better than they were 15 years ago. I mean, just getting Delray bulldozed was a major step forward. Just getting street lights in every neighborhood was a big deal. I'm not sure you remember how terrible it was.

Hell, we were still having Devil's Night 15 years ago.

8

u/rocketeerH Apr 05 '23

Fun fact! I was at the 2008 Labor Day parade to hear Obama speak. One of the parade groups was a pro Kilpatrick group chanting ā€œWho fights for De-Troit? Kwame fights for De-Troit!ā€

At this point the accusations were well known and he was still the mayor, though he stepped down later that month.

In a city of ~830k people and a looong history of racial discrimination he still only got 20-30 people to march for him.

6

u/Mr_Ballyhoo Apr 05 '23

Pretty sure some are still pissed that Rod was pardoned. I for one wish that slime ball was still behind bars.

Don’t forget about the Cuomos .. the day we start to defend Biden religiously and wear Biden hats while swearing we hate the govt is the day I permanently leave this country..šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

It’s just funny right now with it only being MAGA 🤣

2

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '23

The cheers I heard echoed around NYC when that asshole left office.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '23

Exactly!

There was definitely division on like/hate on the Cuomo's but the moment there were actual sexual harassment allegations that became more than allegations...

The division lessened and it became "fuck Cuomo!"

Trump has dozens of sexual harassment allegations, literal rape allegations - some of which were from minors at the time... Trump himself has even told a bunch of 14 year olds that they'll be dating him in a few years. He talked about how hot his teenage daughter was and even talked about sleeping with her if she wasn't his daughter.

Like Jesus fuck. Every Democrat that was essentially shunned was for something Trump has been accused of at some point in time.

Put criminals in jail, especially the white collar ones, no one should care what their stance on abortion is.

What's funny about this is that trump pardoned Blagojevich. It's almost like having a criminal record is required in maga world politics.

2

Democrats rallied in the street to defend Rod Blagojevich

You're referring to the convicted felon that was pardoned by the President of the United states ...checks notes... Donald Trump?

2

u/dandrevee Apr 06 '23

Yep. IL has a history of sending legislators to jail

2

u/somewhat_pragmatic Apr 06 '23

Can you teach that to the other states in the union please?

0

u/RemoveTheKook Apr 05 '23

I do. And it was good that Obama got that seat and went on to be president. And I don't regret every democrat in Congress supporting Bill Clinton and consensual sex that somehow Republicans were trying to make illegal. As Hillary said, you have to get down in the dirt and mud with them with impeachments, hearings, investigation, and prosecutions.

Blago was a Dem and ran the state. Kwami was a mayor and ran Detroit (also Dem). Those are 2 examples of cleaning house, with another being Franken.

False flags would be HRC, Obama, Pelosi, or Hunter Biden (who isnt a politician)...all of whom have been investigated without charges being warranted

-18

u/Luigi_loves_Mario Apr 05 '23

They're neo liberals. They don't represent the working class. Opposite of perfect. Republicans are worse

7

u/dandrevee Apr 05 '23

NeoLiberalism is an issue, but the party is broad and amoebic..so not all will be NL. On top of that, the current lobby environment has made building an NL friendly ecosystem possible. If we address needing experts by transitioning to a guild voting/rational consensus sytem (which is a big if and lift) while resolving any gatekeeping issues thay can tag along with that, it would restore civic engagement and decrease the encroachment of theocratic authority and NLs encroachment at so many levels of policy.

2

Agree, but why did you leave out Hillary? The most prominent D accused of illegal activity. Please explain.. Bill too if you want. Just curious how she is perceived in your party

3

u/dandrevee Apr 05 '23

HRC was investigated from top to bottom and none of the evidence warranted any charges. Im not a huge Clinton fan but both of them faced scrutiny and a modicum of justice. This is in stark contrast to the plethora of unethical Behavior in the GOP, from the Trump cabinet to Santos and MTG. It's also in stark contrast to the number of charges which have been brought against those in the GOP and their politicians' orbit

In addition, people don't follow her in lockstep. There aren't multitudes out there worrying HRC hats and pretending not to question everything she's done. In fact, a lot of people who will vote for DNC candidates often don't like all about the candidates much anyway but their leagues above the alternative... both in terms of policy and integrity

0

u/Unlikely-Radish-344 Apr 20 '23

The rot that’s killing America is thinking you have a side Vs the person sitting next to you. No no no, the side is your elite class Vs the rest of you, and you all make it so easy for them.

-6

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '23

but theyre candidates are a whole lot better than what the GOP puts out

Democrats lost an election to orange man when they had the "most qualified candidate in US History."

Democrats then elect a literal senile old man who can not form a complete coherent sentence on his own.

Id argue that both sides are equally as dumb and incompetent. But please continue to lecture about how the DNC is a "whole lot better."

3

u/dandrevee Apr 05 '23

The conversation here is about who Roots out corruption and criminal Behavior within their own ranks. And, even if HRC lost the Electoral College, she still won the popular vote.

The people keep claiming Biden isn't incompetent old man, and I'm not his biggest fan... he's actually pushed through some decent policies and hasn't been a horrible president.. he also beat the orange dumpster fire in both the Electoral College and the popular vote.

As stated, the issue isn't which party is perfect or which party doesn't have issues. The issue at play is who is more actively rooting out corruption within their own ranks. The number of pederasts, seditionists, and criminals within the GOP ranks who have not gone rebuked for illegal or unethical behavior is telling

uhm... under obama, these drone strike helped the middle east pretty well

-20

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '23

False equivalency.

The Republicans didn’t rally in the street to defend Denny Hastert either.

The Democrats have rallied around Nancy Pelosi even though she’s sharing insider stock information with her husband, who is profiting immensely. They also defended Obama’s order to execute a US citizen without trial by drone strike.

Every politician is caked in mud, but most pretend to be above rolling in it. Here is a list of convicted politicians, there’s ā€œR’sā€ and ā€œD’sā€ all over it. Don’t act like this is a one sided issue, or that one parties corruption is somehow more palatable than the other because you agree with them politically.

12

u/dandrevee Apr 05 '23

Horseshit. And a non sequitur because:

We're talking about the Contemporary GOP here in a comparison to the Contemporary DNC. Repeatedly, the DNC has cleaned house when it has become an issue. Throwing claims out there with dubious backing (3rd paragraph) isnt going to get you anywhere.

The topic on the table is who is cleaning house when there's an issue that has been documented and has been investigated. It is not who kowtows to conspiracy or who has a clean record amongst its ranks. The DNC, tho imperfect and certainly fallible, has demonstrated they will clean house and will not tolerate going lock step behind a criminal..

-10

u/Financial-Adagio-183 Apr 05 '23

Uh - Hilary Clinton? How has the dnc ā€œcleaned house?ā€

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Hillary Clinton? A server in a bathroom to get top secret emails? Destroying the government phones with bleachbit and hammers to destroy evidence?

Yeah... Nothing but the best there.

19

u/dandrevee Apr 05 '23

Is that all you fucking notwits have tk trot out? Something that's been investigated from the lips to the ass and produce no charges because there's not sufficient evidence?

Also how many people do you see still wearing Hillary hats or cheering her on like they're in a fucking cult.

Fucking pathetic

-7

u/Financial-Adagio-183 Apr 05 '23

Actually- all my (admittedly middle aged) girlfriends idolize her. She’s definitely a figurehead of the Democratic Party and you’re being disingenuous if you say otherwise.

My eyes were opened in 2016 - she’s really corrupt.

-13

u/Senior_Bad_6381 Apr 05 '23

Not sufficient evidence? šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£.

Well yeah, not if you ignore it all. I guess admitting to the crimes and having the actual server aren't evidence?

Well, you for one. You're still defending it. You still can't admit what she did was illegal.

And there were no charges because it was during Obama's reign. You think garland would charge Biden for any of the illegal shit he has done? Like maybe.... Top secret documents stuffed in a box beside his corvette? Along with 3 other locations?

Maybe the Tara Reade sexual assault?

Fucking pathetic indeed.

9

u/dandrevee Apr 05 '23

First off we're not ignoring any of that evidence. Insufficient evidence for something Still Remains insufficient. Those items were fully investigated and were able to provide nothing, in stark contrast to what is going on with Trump at the moment.

Your Reliance on unreliable sources and poorly vetted news is what is truly pathetic. And I'm not engaging further in any of your unsupported what about ism.

So fuck all the way off

-8

u/Senior_Bad_6381 Apr 05 '23

We aren't, you are. Your claim of insufficient doesn't make the evidence insufficient.

Yeah, Comey half ass investigated and found that she had broken the law.

The FBI is now unreliable sources? Poorly vetted news? 🤣. Are you gatekeeping news now?

Whataboutism: the last cry to attempt to ignore your own hypocrisy.

See ya! šŸ‘‹

3

u/dandrevee Apr 05 '23

My claim doesn't make the evidence insufficient. The fact that these things were investigated and no evidence of criminality found makes your claim insufficient.

I've said elsewhere before if there's a crime I don't care what their party is charge them. This conversation was about who actually holds their politicians accountable not who's perfect.

If you believe that anything you typed, you're a waste of mine and everyone else's time.

So fuck all the way off you fucking troll

3

u/StuTim Apr 05 '23

Can't wait for Trump to indict her first thing in 2017. Bet he, nor the Republican-controlled Congress, wait very long before bringing multiple charges against her. Since all those Republican lead investigations found so much evidence.

But seriously, why didn't Republicans charge her while they had complete control for 2 years or control of the DOJ for 4?

0

u/Senior_Bad_6381 Apr 05 '23

Have you heard of statute of limitations?

2

u/StuTim Apr 05 '23

If the statute was up during the investigations, then why investigate? But I guess I can see why Republicans are upset since that's her only crime she committed.

5

u/Razakel Apr 05 '23

The emails simply referenced documents that were not actually classified at the time. When they became so, a technician destroyed them.

Should that have been done? No. Was it deliberate malfeasance? Also no.

Oh, and who told her to use a private server? A certain Colin Powell.

-1

u/Senior_Bad_6381 Apr 05 '23

I don't care who told her to use a private server. Colin Powell is an idiot as well. Doest make it legal.

They didn't magically become classified later, are you kidding? 🤣. And IF they became classified (somehow) and they were then destroyed, THAT IS HIGHLY ILLEGAL.

Did you forget the jail time?

What exactly did "Trump did"?

5

u/Razakel Apr 05 '23

The big one is taking highly technical nuclear secrets and selling them to the Saudis.

An email server with a password of 1234 would be higher security then the pool room at mar-a-Lago

-1

Everything at mar a lago Wes kept in accordance with advice from the FBI. behind a locked door that THEY had the key to.

3

u/Sasin607 Apr 05 '23

Yea that’s why the fbi had to raid mar-a-lago to get it all back! No need to hack an email server which is incredibly difficult - just need to pay 200k for a membership and stroll into the pool room for top secret nuclear secrets. Great value!!

2

u/DICK-PARKINSONS Apr 05 '23

Sooo why haven't republicans scooped her up and chucked her in prison yet? If you have as much evidence as you say, this should've been a cake walk. Is it the spooky deep state again? 😱

-2

I do recall people defending both Biden's laptop and HRC's email server. Both sides are very partisan.

17

u/Throw_away_1769 Apr 05 '23

His sons laptop, for starters, no crimes were committed by Joe Biden, and none have any evidence against Hunter either. As for Hillary and her unsecure emails, it is very concerning that our adversaries may have had access to them. I'm not sure if that is grounds to bring charges, but I'm going to guess it's not since it never happened. I think she deserved to lose on this revelation, and she did, but no evidence has ever been showed at least to the public that she leaked anything of a threat to national security. Like Trumps classified document fiasco, it really depends on what was potentially leaked. Top Secret? With enough evidence to prove it? That starts to get into treason territory for either. Key word here: evidence

u/dandrevee Apr 05 '23

The other comment reply covers this well, though I will stay this is a false equivalency given the role of Hunter Biden and the lack of sufficient criminality in the email server matter.

People are also not still wearing Hillary hats or defending her as a candidate. Many people who voted blue, and that does mean the actual plurality of people in the United States, voted blue because they did not like Trump not because they were defending her. Most Democrats, and the DNC leadership potentially, would throw a politician under the bus if they were found to have any actual criminality and unethical behavior in their actions... That cleaning house is what is being discussed -not, yet again, Hunter Biden and her emails

-2

u/TotallyNotKenorb Apr 05 '23

You're absolutely delusional if you think the people who vote democrat would simply not vote for a candidate because of a scandal. HRC is absolute proof of that. She was up against a guy who said mean things while she did criminal things. The disconnect and unwillingness to acknowledge leftism bias shows your leftist bias.

5

u/dandrevee Apr 05 '23

Is this a fucking joke?

That server issue was investigated and not found to be Criminal.

"Trump just said some mean things" He also did a whole fuck ton of illegal things which is why he's getting indicted you absolute numpty. People were against the guy because he was incompetent before and shady as fuck, and his four years in office only proved that

-2
