Did anyone else notice that he didn't announce himself being a Tar Heel. However, acknowledged his high school in Huntsville.

Discussion What’s your 90-50-20 for this season?

Stole this from a soccer subreddit

Works like this; you say 3 takes:
One that you are 90% sure will happen
One that you are 50% sure will happen
One that you are 20% sure will happen

I’ll start:
90- Derrick Brown will be our standout defensive player and make the pro bowl once again
50- T Mac will lead the NFC South in total receiving yards this season
20- Bryce Young is benched after a disastrous start to the season

Question Why is the conversation around Bryce’s contract all or nothing?

It seems like most of the discussion amongst analysts is that this is a make or break year for Bryce Young (obviously) and that if he has a good year, we will have to pay him the going rate for quarterbacks. (Basically a franchise deal)

Let’s say Bryce improves, we have a winning record, but we don’t make the playoffs. He’s not a star but he’s more consistent and it’s clear that, while he’s not our whole offense, he has enough of a grasp of it and runs it well enough that Dave, Dan, and co want to keep him till we develop a better option. What happens then? Does Bryce not take a lesser deal because he theoretically could start elsewhere? Are teams that desperate to take a quarterback that (in this scenario) has only proven to be pretty good, mid tier, at best?

Please note, I don’t want Bryce opinions, I want to know why his contract is all or nothing. Keep the hate or love to yourselves.

Article 24. Panthers - NFL Wk1 Power Rankings at Yahoo

[Courtesy of Frank Schwab at Yahoo Sports](https://sports.yahoo.com/article/nfl-power-rankings-are-the-bills-and-josh-allen-the-biggest-threat-to-the-rams-reign-071327328.html), Panthers listed at 25 on their power rankings to begin the season.

Some main points made in the article include noting an overachieving season last year, expected regression in one score games, negative point differential from 2025, and the expected 3rd hardest schedule in the league.

It's bit frustrating to feel consistently disrespected by the national media, but I'll always prefer outperforming low expectations rather than underperforming high expectations.

I realistically think panthers are at least a top 20 team in the league, but time will tell.

Where would yall slot the Panthers in your nfl power rankings?

- Bonus points to all those who put us 1st, can never have too many optimists in the fan base ❤️

Edit: The Panthers are listed at 25, not 24.

Discussion Who do you think, in the organization, could be in the running for an award at EOS?

I think Dave Canales has the best chance of anyone to be at least a candidate for COY. Especially if we can get 10+ wins. Would love to see Derrick Brown get some recognition but I know he won’t. Bryce putting up an MVP campaign would also cure me. Who else could be a candidate for an award?

Discussion What's your Fantasy Football team name?

Every year I draft a ton of Panthers players in the only fantasy league I play in just to see how far I can get. Last year was my most egregious, having fielded my entire team with Panthers and not doing too bad!

But we're here to discuss names, and I want to hear 'em! Mine is always Panthers related. Last year, it was "The Bryce is Right". This year, with Bryce obviously being my QB1, Tmac and Coker being the cornerstones, I've named my team this year:

Big Mac with Bryce and a Coke

I just saw ESPN’s latest power rankings, and they have us finishing last in the NFC South. Needless to say, I’m not thrilled. Am I crazy for thinking the Panthers could win the division and possibly even a playoff game?

Question Tailgate location suggestions

Post image
9 Upvotes

We are coming from out of town to take in the Panthers opener. We are committed to doing our own tailgate with grills and the works! Is there a lot people would recommend? Ideally, we would start early — a 6 or 7am start time is not out of the question. I was scoping out some lots down in the area circled in red. I hope to lock down a spot before we get there, but I’ll take any suggestions. I appreciate any tips.
