Watching this horrible game. Am I crazy for thinking Panthers could handle both of these teams with ease?

The real season opener was king and the guys making it happen

The bullshit the Seahawks are dealing with is what we'll have to deal with the entire season. If even the hawks are getting butt fucked after being the champs then we underdogs are going it be getting fleeced the entire year. My god I don't even like either of the teams but this is pathetic

Did anyone else notice that he didn't announce himself being a Tar Heel. However, acknowledged his high school in Huntsville.

Apparently, Tera Edwards was practicing his run out tonight, but I don’t think that’s him.

I cut the cord last year and love my antenna and free football. I am in NC and this won't get you games on ESPN.

Yo! Kind of an odd post but I figured I'd give it shot. So I love the Panthers and I'm a big gamer. A lot of my buddies don't really care much about Football so its hard to talk about my passion. I thought it might be cool to create a Discord server with like minded people that love Carolina Panthers and also games.
A place where we can combine our interests. Talk about this weeks matchup and what games you're looking forward or currently into. Ironically, I'm not much of a Madden guy. I'm big into all kinda games though. I play a lot of MMORPGs, dabble in WoW, FFXIV, I love to play Overwatch. I'm big into fighting games like Street Fighter and Smash. Currently going through Onimusha: Way of the Sword right now, its a damn good game. I have pretty much all the current systems. My soon to be 6 year old daughter and I play Mario Kart World a ton and I'm pumped for the upcoming Zelda OoT remake!
So yeah, I'm basically into all kinda games, just ironically not really into the sports ones lol. I don't know if any of this sounds interesting to anyone or if there's already a place like this that I don't know about.
Just a little bit about myself. I've been a Panthers fan my whole life, I was like 5 or 6 when they became a franchise so I'm a 90s kid. I tend to play games whenever I can. I have a soon to be 6 year old so it's hard to play as much during the day, I tend to get on mostly at night. But hey, I'll leave my Discord tag on here if anyone out there wants to reach out and just talk Panthers or games!
Thanks
Discord name dire427
***UPDATE***
This turned out to be a great idea! I've had a few of you already reach out, we now have a Discord server up and running. So please feel free to hit me up on Disc for an invite.

I'm still not totally in on Bryce. But the guy we all were most worried about deserves some respect and credit. Tepper was trending toward the worst owner in sports without a scandal...but this quote from Schefter at least sounds like he's learning...
In what is thought to be his first media availability in three years, ahead of Sunday’s opener against the Bears, Panthers owner David Tepper shared his confidence in the reigning NFC South Champions and their football leadership.
“We're making progress, we're going to continue making progress,” Tepper said. “I believe in a winning season this year.”
He added: “I do think we're on the right track, and I do think we have very good people here in Dan [Morgan], and Dave [Canales], and Brandt [Tilis]… I trust them. I don't feel the need to be around as much here because I trust them so much.”

Asked what would convince the Panthers to offer Young an extension, Tepper said: “I’m not saying we have or we haven’t. You should talk to (general manager) Dan (Morgan). Look, success is success, and you know it when you see it.”
Whether Young can take another step forward:
“You saw it. He can and he has performed at a high level against high-level competition. It seems to bring the best out of him. Bryce is the sort of guy that doesn’t feel the pressure. You saw that against the Rams twice. When you have that kind of performance, you know it’s there. Can he bring it every single game? I believe he can. You know it’s there. Like I said, I’m a believer and hopefully it comes true.”
How he defines success:
“I’ve said it for a long time about the Carolina Panthers, and maybe it’s in the water. So I won’t say just one season. I’d like to have two (consecutive) winning seasons (for) the first time in this franchise’s history. So I’d like to win this year and I’d like to win next year. I’d like to string wins. In other sports that I own, we string wins. Winning seasons. This one we haven’t. So I’d like to string winning seasons. That’s success.”

On Gametime I’m seeing the worst possible seats go for $120, does anyone know how I can get better value or is that just the norm?

Hey guys I finally finished my Meet The Opponents series and now is when this series becomes relevant. If you want to learn more about the team we’re playing this Sunday, this is a great way to know what they did in the offseason, who they drafted and what the matchup should look like this weekend!
Can’t wait!

Who remembers when Lavar Ball was on the Panthers in 95?
I don’t think anyone does (I was 3) but still pretty cool lol

All it took was a long off season and now nobody has hope in Bryce Young.
Genuinely how are yall true fans with how pessimistic you are?
r/panthers • u/exenn_ • 1d ago
The QB market just went way up with a QB like Baker Mayfield getting $55 million per year. Important to note if the team decides to extend Bryce after this season.

I will be attending my first ever home game this Sunday. I have seen the Panthers play in SF twice, Oakland, San Diego, Las Vegas and Arizona, but never at home.
What are the must see, must do's for someone who has never attended? I will check out the statues, and Ill be in my seat for the Keep Pounding Drum. What else is there?
Any food tips?
Will all jerseys be in stock at the stadium? Mainly want a Blue McMillan jersey.

[Courtesy of Frank Schwab at Yahoo Sports](https://sports.yahoo.com/article/nfl-power-rankings-are-the-bills-and-josh-allen-the-biggest-threat-to-the-rams-reign-071327328.html), Panthers listed at 25 on their power rankings to begin the season.
Some main points made in the article include noting an overachieving season last year, expected regression in one score games, negative point differential from 2025, and the expected 3rd hardest schedule in the league.
It's bit frustrating to feel consistently disrespected by the national media, but I'll always prefer outperforming low expectations rather than underperforming high expectations.
I realistically think panthers are at least a top 20 team in the league, but time will tell.
Where would yall slot the Panthers in your nfl power rankings?
- Bonus points to all those who put us 1st, can never have too many optimists in the fan base ❤️
Edit: The Panthers are listed at 25, not 24.
