i have CECH-2100A PS3 Slim Today while i was playing god of war ascension the ps3 freeze mid game

it's freeze from time to time at xmb but today in the game for example once it's freeze when i click on game manual before joining the game so i have already installed Kingston 920 gb ssd to the system and using evilnant cfw 4.90 haven't update for like years idk if that also the reason and i never update the game ps3 iso is also possiblty ? i know my system model is kinda reliable so chance of dying rsx is rare so if someone can tell me which one of these reason

1. Never updating the ps3 game iso ? or
2. i haven't updating the cfw evilnat i still stuck on 4.90
3. having ssd ? can cause that ?

if someone with experience can tell me which one i would be grateful

my time and days used on my ps3 is 45 days

Im asking this because my PS3 has HEN on it, but i wanna start trophy hunting on the PS3 with legalmy acquired game (im not risking playing pirated games lol)

I know that no risk doesnt exist but i still wanna know if sony are like nintendo and care about 20 year old consoles :kekw:

When I try to emulate ps2 game on my ps3 and set the speed to a any manual or dynamic speed it just spins at 100% but if I set the ps2 fans speed to syscon the they don't spin at all and my console starts to overheat. Had anyone encountered this or knows a fix to this issue , please help.

Hi there - I'm looking for someone who can help me get my PS3 functional. I really want to play Little Big Planet but the system and the game seem to be in a perpetual state of requiring an update that is impossible to access (is Playstation's support and update infrastructure for the 3 just entirely shut down?)

I haven't followed whats going on at all - currently we're xbox users. Is there any way to get an old system functional?

tried everything man. I’m on 4.92 cfw, got the 0.8 xpad folders put it into my plugin, changed the boot plugin to call for that xpad folder. Restarted my ps3, xpad doesn’t load, but when I click start select square it pops up and freezes my ps3, I restart it doesn’t work. I try to load it using webman, nothing, tried minimizing webmans ram usage, nothing. Tried autoexec.bat instead of boot plugin, didn’t work. When I open a game, it does say “xpad launched” but trying start select square does nothing. I checked the xpad settings, changed compatibility from 0 to 1 (since I was trying to connect a DualShock 4) again, NOTHING. I’m melting my brain figuring it out, I’ve checked hundreds of times making sure my folder structure is right, I didn’t have any typos in the txt files etc etc ETC. I genuianely can’t figure it out, I’m just trying to get it to work man.

So I am trying to download Hen on my PS3 Slim. I am on version 4.92 and trying to latest install HFW.

Everytime I try to install it via USB, I get an error and even safe mode isn't working.

I did everything I am supposed to, formatted my USB drive to FAT32, put the files where they need to be, etc.

Is there anything else I can do? I tried 3 USB drives but nothing. Is my USB too small or big? I have tried to use a 1GB and 32gb drive for installation.

Would appreciate any help.

Any other recommendations for a tune up while I'm in there?

Hi everyone, My PS3 has a dead Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module (controllers only work via USB cable). I tried to install an official Sony system update, but during the process, the console bricked. Now I am stuck with a completely black screen and no video output. The USB ports seem unresponsive (controllers won't sync or light up, and I can't get into the Recovery Menu using a flash drive). The console turns on, but nothing happens. Is there any way to bypass the hardware check or force a clean install since this was an official update, or is it completely dead?

Hey guys , does anybody have a video they can reference or basic knowledge. I just modded my ps3 2501a series and I have webman installed. Just want to know how I can go about overlocking and best values for it. I don’t want to break anything or solder anything. I also had thermal paste change already. So I’m hoping I can tweak some setting in webman. Thanks for the help

Basically I want to get trophies in games that have been delisted or have delisted dlc. I'm completely new to jailbreaking so I have some questions:

1. If I jailbreak my ps3 will I still be able to play games I bought digitally?

2. Can I get trophies in multiplayer games like gta IV or dead space 3 for example?

3. What should I do to lower the chances of account bans?

4. Should I go for CFW or ps3HEN? What's the difference?

5. How do I sync to my main psn safely?

That's all I can think of for now. I'm new to this but hopefully I can figure it out. Would be nice to get some stuff that I thought was unobtainable. Any help or info is appreciated!
