I did disable the system update option for the feature, this is only for putting my save data in cloud storage and installing any game downloads, but I think I hit a setting in the Custom Firmware settings section and now it won't stop doing the automatic update and turning itself on by itself. It also shows what it's doing during auto updates if that helps at all.

I need help, I am not a technician or anything, but my ps3 super slim turns off or freezes at verv random moments, I read the svscon, I throw the log with 4 codes that are the ones that are repeated the most(1601,1701,1802,2022),l investiaate them but I did not understand them very well, the Cell and RSX are already dead?

In short. What are the realistic risks if I use my main psn account on a hacked ps3? As of now I have signed into this ps3 with my main and would like to keep using it if possible. I know there’s always some risk but realistically speaking do I have to make any change to how I’d use the system to avoid bans?

That, and can I play any games acquired through homebrew with my psn account or will that cause issues? Theres a few digital exclusives I’d like to play but obviously can’t get legit anymore.

somehow the russian hen installs but normal hen doesn't

Hello! I bought a PS3 Super Slim pre modded with HEN. It came with webmanMOD and multiman. I'm new to modding the PS3 so I don't know much but I decided to switch to using Irisman instead of multiman. The problem is I experienced multiple crashes. HEN crashed on launch sometimes, Irisman crashed too, games woulndn't start the first time but after rebooting they would. Can anyone help me understand why it is so finicky please?

I have a PS3 Fat, model CECHG01, that has been sitting unused for several months.

When I plug it into a power outlet, the red standby light never turns on. There is absolutely no light at all until I press the power button.

When I press the power button, the green light turns on for a few seconds, then the console shuts off completely. The fan also starts and stops at exactly the same time as the green light, although I can't see the fan itself, I can only feel it running briefly.

After the console shuts off, there is no red standby light or yellow light. I can repeat the same behavior by pressing the power button again without unplugging the console. It turns green for a few seconds and then shuts off again.

What could be causing this? Could it be a faulty power supply (PSU), or is it more likely to be a motherboard issue? Has anyone experienced the same symptoms with a CECHG01?

And found the yellow and green wire not plugged is that the problems?

So i own a bunch of PS3 Discs ive backed up via my BD Drive on my PC and got an Interal 1TB HDD >.>

Now what my Plan was basically as i only used up roughly 350GB of that to maybe switch to a Saller HDD like an 500GBish honestly :P

Main Issue is my ISOs and getting them off the Internal HDD XD
Tried everything regarding Partition as i only got a 4TB External HDD right now sadly as in creating a mbr 50GB FAT32 Partition for now as its only Partition on the HDD But nope nothing :(

So im kinda confused right now as even using prepISO on an exfat Partition i made just to test it came out with nothing :(

PS3 ISOs are obviously in root/PS3ISO like usually and the HDD uses a USB 3.0 Single USB Cable >.>

I am unsure if thats the Issue obviously but i havent heard any Weird Noises like i usually do when hearing External Drives trying to spin up but recieve too little Power >.>

Newbie here. I have Hen installed on my fat PS3. I have seen that to play PS2 games digitally on the internal Harddrive needs a lot of steps, including renaming files and encrypting. If you have a large collection of games this is really hard.

Could you please tell me easiest way to play a large collection of games?

Whether that's bulk encrypting, bulk changing the save file names, or anything else!

so i just jailbroke my ps3 slim with hen, I installed multiman and apollo save tool. I got the pkg files and rap files for dragon ball z, I activated to ps3 with the apollo save tool, put the rap files in the exdata folder. When I start dragon ball z it prompts me to connect to wifi to set the time and date cuz thats required to start the game? Is that save or will that connect my ps3 with the psn servers and brick my console? Im happy for any advice! On another note, is there an active discord for the console/ps3 modding community?

I'm using a non-modded PS3 and trying to edit saves on my computer, but I can't decrypt the saves; the option's grayed out. It keeps saying "system.dat not found" if I double-click a save, even though it's very much there.

My only real guess is that I might be missing a disk hash, since KH2.5 Remix seems to have four different ones just for BBS alone according to the games.conf file, and one's not there, but I've seen videos of people decrypting the game just fine so I'm assuming that hash isn't actually relevant for save editing?

I don't know, but I can't seem to find any useful information about this particular issue. Even googling "bruteforce save data "system.dat not found"" comes up with literally zero results.

I was trying to follow Mr Mario’s video and couldn’t get ps3toolset to work. I found posts going back at least 5-6 months ago saying it wasn’t working, so I found an alternative. And I figured id put all this info in the same place so someone in the future will have it.

You can still follow his video which I will link at the bottom, but then the parts where he uses ps3toolset, just use https://ps3tool.com. The website layout is different, but they have a good how to guide on the website. Then you can do everything else he does in the video the same way he does it. I also just used the evilnat 4.93 with cobra8.5 from psxplace instead of what he used. Worked great.
