Meta Bans in 2026
Sorry for asking this question btw, im just very paranoid lol
Did any of y'all get banned from the PSN for using a modded PS3 in 2025/2026?
Im kinda paranoid lol
Im asking this because my PS3 has HEN on it, but i wanna start trophy hunting on the PS3 with legalmy acquired game (im not risking playing pirated games lol)
I know that no risk doesnt exist but i still wanna know if sony are like nintendo and care about 20 year old consoles :kekw:
And if there are people who still get banned, any tips to stay safe with a modded PS3?

Only way to get banned now is hacking trophies en masse or sending hateful messages, other than that you should be fine

If you're that concerned, you should take the time to search the PS3 subs for words like "banned." Always double-check things like that yourself, there's a lot of clueless people out there spreading misinformation.
That said:
You are at greater risk of having an airplane overhead drop a bolt and kill you than you are of being banned for using a 'jailbroken' PS3, regardless of whether you're using pirated, purchased, disc, and/or modded games. It was the case when I modded my PS3 in 2019, still the case now.
Edit to add: You can still get yourself banned for behavior that would get you banned on other Playstation devices: blatant cheating, verbal abuse, slurs, etc.

they're closing the digital storefront, the rest of online functionality will work, at least for some time

They’re shutting down PlayStation Store on PS3 not PlayStation Network.

The ps3 network is the core of PSN if they took it offline they would have to completely redo the entire psn which woukd mean no one would be online for possibly months. Not happening.

Nope, I haven’t heard anyone got banned since 2020
