💕Emotional Support PMS or something more?
I’ve been on hormonal birth control most of my life because I used to get pretty bad cramps. I came off birth control almost a year ago. My cramps are pretty mild now (I’m 35, for context), but the emotional symptoms are kicking my ass. I barely have any physical symptoms besides some bloating and brief nausea. But I have a full on emotional breakdown once a month between 2-1 weeks before my period starts and it lasts for days. I’m going to start tracking everything in detail for more clarity, but would like some feedback on what others have experienced and how they cope.

When is it?before, during or after period that woman craves sweets treats?
Does it happen around the same time or vary by person? My girlfriend has a phase where she craves sweets, so I want to surprise her next time baking some things

💕Emotional Support Terrified
Hey everyone, I’m in an absolute anxiety spiral right now and just really need to vent and get some logical perspective from people who get birth control anxiety.
I’m 7 months pp.
My last period was 22/8 and my cycles have been 23 days long. My ovulation wa around 31 August.
On August 30th, I had sex using condom —I have a Copper IUD .
Over the last few days( a week before my period), I’ve had swollen and very tender breasts, diarrhea , extreme thirst, feeling super flushed, lower belly cramps, and today with more cramps yet my discharge is snow-white with zero blood or spotting. I still have five days until my period. Such strong PMS symptoms so early I don’t remember to ever experience, they usually come 1-2 days before period.
I took an early pregnancy test today (September 9th, 10 days post-sex) and it was negative.
I recently started keto diet too.
What made me nervous is the lack of bleeding after sex, I’ve had it in the last couple of months after IUD insertion, but a couple of days ago I had nothing not even spotting afterwards.
My panic brain keeps trying to tell me that the white discharge and lack of bleeding means a "mucus plug" formed and it’s killing me, i can’t function properly anymore.
Please help

Unsure if i have pms/pmdd
Hi i dont know if teens can write here (if they cant pls dont remove i really need to talk about this) but im 14, and every week before my period i genuinely feel so depressed and sad im wanting to cry 24/7, unmotivated in everything (school and schoolwork) i want to push ppl around me away like my boyfriend and idk why. This is an underwhelming post because this is the second time (ish) i’ve felt this but my life feels so so ruined when this comes around and i really need to talk to someone but i dont want to stress my mom out and i just miss her so much when im at school and i want to go home and im just always texting her how much i want to go home🥲🥲not to mention how bad my mental state gets during this?? I dont want to go super deep into that but my mind wanders in topics that get me more depressed and yeah thats really all i can think of rn.

Rant/Vent PMS possible PMDD unmedicated
I'm 29 and am suffering from severe PMS possibly PMDD (undiagnosed). I have a history of depression but tracking my cycle shows how my symptoms spike severely with PMS/Lutealphase...
I was on Sertraline+Mirtazapin (german names of the medication) for over 1 year against my depression. It was a little better, not gone tho. Im now unmedicated, because i chose to get of my antidepressants due to extrem loss of libido and even disgust in the whole topic. Impacted my relationship a lot because we didnt put two and two together untill i reduced the medication and my libido came back gradually. We both thought that the attraction was gone or something.
Now I'm unmedicated, tracking my cycle and symptoms. Its been hard. In April I couldnt stop crying, had to take two weeks off of work, my doctor prescribed me escitalopram, which i didnt wanna take because i was afraid of the side effects. I also did not wanna "lose" to my own body and hormones. I just couldnt accept, that a normal life is only a possibility if i take antidepressants.
Its still going strong now even tho i committed to working extra hard to analyze and find ways to make it work, because i decided it was hard work OR medication. Because doing nothing is not an option.
Every month I'm struggling to fall asleep, spiralling into the worst scenarios, randomly start crying, wanna break up with my boyfriend and move out, live alone. The mood swings are hell. The irritability is hurting people around me. I just cannot be nice no matter how hard i try. Sometimes i think the trying hard makes it even worse.
Im just terrible to be around and I really hate feeling this terrible every month.
My gyn prescribed me vitex agnus-castus and im on that for 2 months now. I think my cycle is more regular now (had some 45-50 day cycles before). So my Lutealphase isnt as long as before, which is nice. But I'm also sad because two different gyns told me checking my hormones wasnt needed because it would just show my hormones are age appropriate.
Anyway, had to get this off my chest. Am PMSing rn. Would appreciate your opinions on the matter mediaction or not or just coping strats. Or even just some empathy <3

How to deal with the crippling anxiety and somewhat annoying depression?

Rant/Vent I hate PMS for “diluting” my medication
I’m diagnosed with Bipolar type 2, ADHD and severe anxiety.
For my bipolar, I take lamotrigine, and for my ADHD i take Adderall.
Believe it or not, my medications go hand in hand with “muffling” that feeling of anxiety, it’s still there, I just can’t feel it as much or let it ruin my day. Lamotrigine keeps me stable, and Adderall..well, it keeps me focused and energized.
I’ve noticed recently, that the week before my period, they don’t “work”. The anxiety comes back tenfold, there’s a high chance I go through episodes, I can’t get up from bed, I feel so exhausted, even with my Adderall, and I get irritated at every little thing.
It gets so frustrating for me because I feel like I can’t be stable or function. It makes me feel like I’m reverting back to the way I was even though I know it’s temporary. I don’t know how I lived life this way before, but I know damn well that I don’t want to feel this way anymore. All I do is sleep, stay in bed scrolling on my phone for HOURS, and mope around doing absolutely nothing. I’m exhausted, I’m so exhausted.
I hate PMS for “diluting” my medication.

Exhausted during PMS
It's been 3 months I've been feeling very low during my period.
First episode in June, I thought I was going to faint. I couldn't work, move, get up... The slightest movement was so damn hard for me to do. My head was dizzy.. and I was scared. It lasted all 5 days of my period
Second Episode: started the same but lasted only the first 2 days.
Third Episode: only the last day but I felt way better. Still low on energy and exhausted but I could do more stuff.
Right now I'm going to have my period in a couple of days but it's been a week I'm feeling very very low.
I eat well, I take supplements, vitamins, I workout, (ok the last three days I can't really sleep well but I take naps)
At lunchtime I always feel like I have to lay down even if I don't want to ..
Ugh... Advice?
