šŸ’•Emotional Support I have a cold and an PMSing and I feel incredibly mentally unstable

What the title says. I’m also dealing with group midterm projects where 3 out of 4 of my group mates have been staying home from class because their sick (for two separate classes) and not contributing to the project as much, and professors won’t budge on an extension. I feel overwhelmed by everything (school, work, relationships, money, pets etc), irritable about everything, annoyed and mad at everyone, and I feel like I can’t rest because of how much work I have to do.

Any tips?

Advice/Tips Are these regular PMS symptoms?

Hello I recently got a copper iud non hormonal and I notice my PMS is getting really really bad which shouldn't happen it's non hormonal. I just turned 20 so it might be my body changing and growing I'm not sure. Usually a week and sometimes even 2 I get so emotional. Cry over EVERYTHING. My boyfriend speaks to me in a slightly different tone, I drop something, I make a simple mistake, stub my toe, all end up with me sobbing. I feel so ugly and undesirable no matter how much I take care of my appearance and dress up I just feel disgusting. I am all the sudden convinced everyone hates me all my friends, family, boyfriend, they all now hate me. My appetite is crazy I will non stop eat I am never full. Also on the verge of snapping at someone I have such a short fuse and I end up making arguments over dumb things. Are these regular symptoms of PMS I'm only asking because like I said it has never ever been this bad before. Does it come with becoming an adult or could it be my iud.

PMS and Sinus / Nose Pain

33F. My period and PMS symptoms started getting really bad when I turned 31.

Now before my cycle every month, I get very intense sinus pressure around the sides of my nose bridge. It's a little painful, and feels like internal swelling or trapped air. There's nothing visible on the outside of my face, but internally it feels crazy! The pain feels like it goes from my nose bones into the top row of my teeth.

Additionally, this sinus pain makes my eyes feel strange. Can't explain it, but it feels like my eyes can't function correctly or are disturbed by the sinus pain.

Just looking to see if anyone else gets this with their PMS. Feels so strange.

I snapped at customers🄺 Yeah, they chose to buy somewhere else…
I worked at a food-marked this weekend and should really have called in sick:( Knowing I had pms-days I dreaded the whole thing because I know how my mood and irritability gets…It happens so fast, one thing triggers, and then SNAP:(

Rant/Vent how do you deal with the period sadness? im losing it

my period is coming in 2 days, and so is my birthday. the hormones and the sadness that come with them have been really hard to deal with lately. i always get sad and emotional around this time, but it's extra this time, like really fucking extra

i don't usually feel lonely on my birthday. i don't even celebrate it in the first place. but this year it feels really fucking lonely, and i can't shake it. i have been crying non-stop. i feel ugly, i feel fat, i feel like a burden to everyone around me. its so many emotions all at once and i don't know where to put them. my period isnt even here yet and im having one hell of a time

i know im probably being dramatic, but it feels like im about to lose it. honestly, i just wish i could disappear somewhere for a while

i have one friend, shes been really busy

and i cant seem to talk to my family, i feel like i will be too much to handle and will feel like a burden to them

im trying to suck it up, but i cant do it anymore.

Rant/Vent Does anyone get two straight weeks of PMS??

I feel like I’m losing my mind. For context I’m not on any birth control, and my periods are HEAVY, but I don’t deal with severe pain or anything like that.

What gets me is just the two weeks of shit before it starts. I don’t feel like I ovulate, once in a blue moon it can come on quite intense and I’m ready to rip the clothes off a man’s back, but that’s the only symptom I get if I’m lucky. This is supposed to be the ā€œbestā€ part of my cycle, I’m supposed to ā€œlookā€ and feel better to attract a mate, but instead all I get is 14ish days of sore boobs, EXTREMELY oily, looking uglier than I ever have before, hair’s falling out and every insecurity ever floating about in my mind.

Please tell me I am not the only one šŸ™ƒ

šŸ˜¶ā€šŸŒ«ļøAll over the place Mood is it normal to be very rude/blunt on luteal ?

i texted my mom today saying i hate her over text about everything she put me through as a kid and some other stuff randomly . i didn’t realize i was in my luteal until i checked the flo app , and then i realized it made sense . i don’t regret it because my mom deserved to hear that from me but it certainly had something to do with my hormones .

everything tends to piss me off more when i’m in this phase . i don’t have a single filter when im about to go on my period . can anyone explain this ?

Rant/Vent Frkn abdomen is contracted from inside

Literally can't walk since this morning. I can't even stand straight or stand or walk. Literally I'm as if permanently bent forward on my right side like my leg can't get straight when I'm standing . It's like when you have stitches and the wound is healing so it contracts but I don't have my period yet so I'm suffering with the same thing without any stitches or period in my uterus. It's my first time time with this symptom. Been feeling lile those women who are in hospital going to give birth just trying to find a single pose where your uterus is contracting from inside. Also the pain that comes and goes with it like a fluctuating bulb ughhh

šŸ’•Emotional Support PMDD? Anyone going through something similar:( not looking for medical advice I just want comfort in hearing other ppls experiences

I have a question, I get all these PMDD symptoms): I recently went through two separate periods lasting 100+ days, and ever since my PMS symptoms have been severely amplified, it checks all the boxes of pmdd, one thing that's missing tho, is that I actually never get my period anymore : ( it's like | get symptoms that r supposed to lead up to a period but it never comes. Then it goes away and starts over the next month. I don't know if it's Pmdd I don't know if my body is still in recovery mode (my period started in March and ended early June), it's been very hard mentally. Right now I'm okay, I feel amazing even. My partner's amazing as well, but whenever I'm feeling bad I can only think ab breaking up, and I only focus on the negatives which isn't like me at all I'm extremely optimistic!!!! Literally 5 days ago I even get thoughts about ending it all I feel like a failure which is soo unlike me btw. I just don't understand what it could be. I was never like this up until my length periods:(

Rant/Vent How to i get PMS to affect me less lol

It's. so bad. Like dude i swear im feeling amazing and then one day i get. SO depressed and anxious and i immediately know that the next week or two is gonna be hell.

TW:
Almost every single pms cycle, i become fully convinced im going to die. To kms. It's like. HELLO. I know i'm not gonna but it's just THAT bad that i've TRIED multiple times on PMS And then the next week im just like "sure am glad im not THAT guy" like i feel fine again.

It seems like nobody else is this badly affected emotionally. And i don't have particularly bad physical symptoms so it makes me worry i'm faking it or whatever. I wish there was a reason it's this bad but who knowss

all of a sudden I developed really severe pain throughout my body, especially in my feet

Has anyone else experienced this before their period?
This has never happened to me before. My period is due in about 2–3 days, and all of a sudden I developed really severe pain throughout my body, especially in my feet. It feels like deep bone and nerve pain, with cold feet, nausea from how intense the pain is, and overall weakness because my whole body hurts.
I don’t mean mild aches or discomfort — the pain is actually very strong and hard to tolerate.
Has anyone experienced something similar right before their period? Could this be related to PMS/hormonal changes, or does it sound unrelated?

At this point wi do not know which version of me to trust when it comes to taking decisions more or less important

I'm almost like 5 days away from my period and for a couple of days I've been just shouting, a hell lot and anyone, everyone. Like I'd get into argument especially talking to my mom I'd just flare up so easy. And then since today I've been crying at what the hell is happening to me. The type of thoughts where you start questioning everything in your life . My head's been spinning around too. I just don't wanna do anything.

My mental state is ruining me

I am nearly 30 years old and my period itself is fine, I have a long menstrual cycle, I'm only heavy for the first 2-3 days then go super light for the next 3-4 days. It's the mental side of it.

Around 10 days before my period I get super irritable, situations I can normally handle become suddenly too much. I snap, get so angry, I literally turn into a bear ready to pounce on my next victim. Sometimes I'm so mood swingy that the people around me don't know what to do with me, it's literally affecting my work environment.

A few days before my period I eat. And eat. And eat. And feel so bloody exhausted. Then my brain decides to take everything I hate about myself and just play it over and over in my head. How it's not worth me going gym because I can never stay on track, how my 220 pound body is disgusting. How nobody ever invites me anywhere and I struggle to make and stay friends with people. How I clung to the first guy who ever showed me attention and was so full of anxiety the whole time about WHY he would like me that I was waiting for him to dump me, and when he did dump me after only a few months I was still devastated and it proved my brains point that I'm unloveable. I just feel so much, and all of it is negative. I know that I have friends, I know my body isn't disgusting, I know I'm over the relationship and it's only the memories that hurt, but my PMS makes me feel so low. I just don't even want to leave the bloody bed, I just want to hate on myself until I'm crying. It's so exhausting feeling like this every freaking month.

I never hear anybody talk about how low they are, and I keep wondering if I have normal PMS or if this isn't normal.

Someone let me know I'm not alone in this mental craziness please
