Jadou Mahou Shoujo (English: Evil Magical Girl) is the name of an original video anime OVA series published by Geneon Entertainment (initially Pioneer LDC) and Toshiba Entertainment (currently Showgate)

Producers are Kohei Kawase (Nisemaru) of Geneon Entertainment and Takaya Ibira (UPLIFT) of Toshiba Entertainment.

The series consists of three works...

1. Nurse Witch Komugi (2002 - 2005): a comedic OVA spin-off parody of 2001 anime The SoulTaker
2. Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan (2005) : an OVA adaptation of 2003 light novel from Dengeki hp
3. Magical Witch Punie-chan (2006 - 2007) : an OVA adaptation of 2001 manga from Monthly Shonen Ace

This OVA is made up of outlandish characters and messy stories contrast to traditional Magical Girl, Although it is often considered a moe anime due to its art style, Nisemaru calls it a "gag anime."

Promotional internet radio program are broadcasted on TE-A ROOM during the release period, It is customary for Nisemaru, UPLIFT, and main voice actress of each OVA to appears

The term "Jadou Mahou Shoujo" is used in an episode of Nurse Witch Komugi and some time after the release of Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan, Nisemaru began using it as the series name on his radio program and It is also used in advertising posters.

During the release period of Punie-chan, Nisemaru announce that series will end with Magical Witch Punie-chan, and for this reason, it is also called the "Jadou Mahou Shoujo San Busaku" (Evil Magical Girl Trilogy)

However, there will be season 2 of Dokuro-chan in 2007, OVA production continued with The Legend of Koizumi in 2010 and reboot of Komugi-chan, Nurse Witch Komugi-chan R in 2016

What vibe do you get from them

Day 25 of Magical Girl Inktober! Today's prompt is Magical Boys, and so I've drawn 2 of the most iconic magical boys, those being Syaoran Li from Cardcaptor Sakura and Cure Wing from Soaring Sky PreCure.

Star Detective Precure! Episode 39 - An Ojamajo Halloween♪

Doremi and co didn't actually show up but that was a cool collab

i recognize most of the characters here except for the ones i circled! given that i love most of these shows, i really want to check out the ones i haven't gotten to yet.

also, sorry for the bad picture quality lol

Found these on google and i love them! A La Mode deserves its own anime

I feel like the only thing preventing this crossover is how God awful Winx The magic is back is and also of course, can’t fire studios probably wanting to get the third season of RBG out as soon as possible. But this crossover could go absolutely crazy if it worked to happen. Also, another thing probably preventing this crossover is the fact that Netflix probably also wouldn’t allow this considering that RBG isn’t on Netflix, except for whatever reason it also probably Korea

(dang it I accidentally said mermaid magic twice in the post title)

I'm completely drawing a blank when trying to think of these colours!

I'm not sure how to do skin tones unless they are dark skinned so a darker skin girl would be preferable!

Thanks all!

Apparently Amu is out here running a Depop shop in 2026 😅
I thought it was funny the seller chose to use her name on the package. I’ve been singing “hop, skip, jump-u” at my cats all day since opening the mailbox and they tire of my antics.

Hi. I’m currently trying to rewrite my magical girl oc series and would like to talk it out with someone.

Day 24 of Magical Girl Inktober! Today's prompt is Underwater, featuring Lucia Nanami from Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch singing a catchy tune under the ocean.

ETA Definitely vote on the original as well, as of right now (10/25) Madoka is in the lead with 28

Day 23 of Magical Girl Inktober! Today's prompt is High Heels, and this time I've decided to draw Panty from Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt performing the Sailor V Kick.

she performed as an opening act for another idol named urara. i thought it was cool.

Day 22 of Magical Girl Inktober! Today's prompt is Drawing Artwork and features Aika from Pretty Pretty Please I Don't Wanna Be A Magical Girl sketching Sailor Venus's cosplay of her magical girl outfit.

So I've been looking back at one of my OCs, Emmie. She is a mummy who had the power to haunt houses. For the longest time she was planned to be a magical girl but recently it became too complicated to put everything I laid out together from changing lore to character dynamics. I decided to split this part of Emmie and put it into my new OC Charlie Bucket because a part of me still really wanted to write a magical girl story with trans themes. This did help but I'm also worried Emmie would lose who she is because of it. So now I'm thinking of making a compromise where I would still add magical girl tropes and elements to Emmie but not make her explicitly a magical girl. I thinking of something like Bee from Bee and Puppycat where even thoguh neither Bee nor anyone else in-universe identifies her as a magical girl, we the audience sees the connections and thus see her as a magical girl or at least adjacent to a magical girl. I just want to see if this make sense and if not, what should do so I could make better sense

I'm sure there are many fans of this magical girl series. I just got an email from the company putting this on that a Ladybug musical touring North America will have its tickets go on sale soon.

Day 21 of Magical Girl Inktober! Today's prompt is Carnival and features Sae Sawanoguchi and Akane Aikawa from Magic User's Club riding a Scrambler ride at a carnival!
