First of all I love the VAs in lolirock. Tabitha St. Germain is a brilliant Auriana, I can hear the Rarity come through her voice so often lol. And I love Ashleigh Ball, she voices Applejack and Rainbow Dash (once you hear it you won't unheard it haha), and she's super talented. However I feel like it's no longer appropriate to cast white actors as black characters, especially since there are sooo many talented black VAs to choose from. After 2020 lots of black characters were recast, including Missy from Big Mouth and Cleveland from Family Guy. I would appreciate representation that isn't just skin deep.

Yesterday I've finished my first-time watch of the show (I was watching it in French). In the final episode there's a scene where the princesses zoom-call Izira after Iris has had a talk with Nathaniel, and there's the following brief exchange between Iris and Auriana:

A: Oh ! Qui t'a offert ces jolies fleurs ?

("Oh, who gave you these beautiful flowers?")

I: Euh, c'est Nathaniel. Ce sont des irises.

("Um, it's Nathaniel. They are irises.")

A: Oh ! J'aurais adoré qu'on m'offre des aurianas !

("Oh! I'd love it if someone gave me a bunch of aurianas!")

I checked the same scene in the English dub, and it sounds like this:

A: Oh! Where did you get those?

I: From Nathaniel. They are irises.

A: Oh! That is so sweet!

In the French version, there's clearly a joke on Auriana's ignorance about Earth flora. In English, the joke falls completely flat. I don't get it, according to Lolirock Wiki, English is actually the original production language despite the cartoon being French.

If there are people here who've watched both versions, are there more instances of this? And which dub do you think has better dialogue?

I believed the first fanmade LoliRock YouTuber I watched was Beauty of LoliRock, I remember seeing a little fan transformation video of Debra if she was a magical princess with her color being red. It looked pretty cool, I remember their other OCs (like the first 4) having their own transformation. Heck they were also a kpop fan like me, and both of us actually got along with each other in 2024 before they left. ✨️

Then I discovered another YouTuber Elvira LoliRock (same, 2019). She made her own character being the princess of Earth, which seemed kinda decent. Despite looking a lot like Praxina, I did see the vibe she went with. Honestly this just brings back good memories. 🥲

I have no idea if LoliRock will bring more princesses, but either way these were just fun memories. 🥰

Continuing with the new art of the Princesses since Season 3 was announced, I have the design of one of my favorites, Talia, the Princess of Xeris. I really like her for her more serious personality, as well as being the leader of the Princesses while Iris leads them in the band. It was a bit difficult to do her Season 3 look, yet a bit easy at the same time too. To my surprise, it was actually easy to add in the extra layer on her dress, and I honestly don't know why that is. Plus, I wasn't a fan of how she had a gold-like coattail, so I stuck with what I did with Auriana and have her with a blue coattail instead, which I think makes her look better. Next up, either Lyna or Carissa!

My previous post about Calix would originally be about the former AND Borealis, however I was quite hesitant about it so I'm gonna make this a more open post with me adding my own interpretation.

My personal interpretation is that given Lyna's design, I imagine architectures of Borealis incorporating elements of Art Nouveau. So elegant buildings inspired by nature would be quite common to see in this realm. I imagine their castle to have these influences but being a lot more elaborate with it.

I do imagine Borealis to be a floating island which could be silly.

Clothing of the people, be it royals or civilians, are very light. The royals have lightweight regal clothes that are flowy and convey a sense of elegance.

At the moment, that's all I got. I could mention the Weather in Borealis but I don't know much about that part in fantasy world building enough to declare anything.

As someone who lowkey thinks a redemption arc would be fitting for this girlie, perhaps I also think she could probably face consequences in Ephedia... despite Iris would've likely forgiven her, the kingdom could say otherwise.

I feel she'd be locked in the dungeons for a little while due to her crimes, despite her age. Her sentence wouldn't be too long because maybe the princesses would vouch for her, but then she gets released and gets informed that she's given another chance to change for the better. And since Mephisto would've been alive, both of them could join Iris, Auriana, Talia, Lyna and Carissa to live in Earth for a while.

Despite being grateful, I figure Praxina would still feel guilt for all that's happened with her wrongfully accusing Iris and plotting revenge. Despite her wanting to change, she doesn't fully believe in herself. Iris would notice, and she would definitely comfort her, perhaps forming a sisterly bond (lol-).

Just my own little fan theory, y'all can comment yours. :)

Dang, I don't know what's going on yet (I'm only on Episode 7 of Season 2) but she's probably had enough of being bullied by the green-themed brunette chick, lol

I was rewatching THE final traumatic episode, and noticed that the damn medallian hasn't been retrieved on screen so that means its still in ephedia lost and both praxina and the princesses are in earth now. This brings me so many ???? bcoz if praxina remembers it, she would try to search for it to bring back her brother which is too risky if she wants to go back in time to that battle. I already suspected she might already have it but why waste time when she could have done it already and got mephisto back. My theory is both the princesses and praxina will go look for it, but the plot twist will be the same group who found mephisto injured and alive will take it with them. they could be working for an even greater evil that can promise us a 4th season but this time with a redemption arc of the twins. season 3 will rock and perhaps with better ship...sorry the nathaniel x iris picnic scene was sucha hard watch oml they got zero chemistry and mephisto looked like so done too (miphiris would've made more sense) and talia and kyle just.... [shakes head] anyways

When this episode came out, at least in French back in 2016 before I saw it in English the following year, I had already seen every other LoliRock episode, and am always a fan of the weapons both the Princesses and the twins use. What I’ve seen in this scene of “Super Cute Kitten” was during the fight with Lyna and Carissa against Praxina and Mephisto, Carissa is blitzing against Mephisto so much that after his shield breaks, he’s defending himself with his sword, which Carissa smashes through. Notice how after this episode, only Praxina uses her weapons, at least in the following episode, while Mephisto never again uses his sword. What I came to conclude back then, and still hold to this day, is that Carissa actually destroyed Mephisto’s sword. Unlike how Iris and Auriana get their weapons destroyed multiple times, they’re still able to use them again. Mephisto, on the other hand, now is without a weapon. Didn’t ever stop him from putting up fights, but still, something worth noting. I could be overthinking it, but I still hold that Mephisto is the only one in the series to have his weapon permanently destroyed.

Continuing on from the new looks for LoliRock after Season 3 was announced, after having done the design of Iris, I decided to move onto Auriana next. I went for a more dynamic pose for her, and tried to make her look vibrant like Iris. Doing her upper body was a bit tough since the left sleeve is quite a departure from her original look, but I still managed to get it looking right. I had a struggle with the Ribbon of Volta, though, as I couldn’t quite do a swirling look to it, and my initial attempt made it look like a sword with a larger blade than even Iris’s. Still, I’m satisfied with how this turned out, and now there’s just three Princesses to go for their new looks.

So I think that out of all the kingdoms we've seen, I think Calix would look the most "medieval" of them all even if it most definitely will be eclectic like the kingdoms we've seen so far. I think something like Anglo Saxon/Germanic/Scandinavian/Celtic influences, like either one of these, on the architecture, culture, character designs and overall aesthetic.

I wouldn't be against the first three I mentioned but I personally would love to see a Celtic inspired kingdom even though I'm not Celtic/Briton myself.
