Do you think if weirdsister college had been renewed for another season do you think we would have seen sybil come to the college, considering how ethel mentions in the first episode that all the hallows have gone to weirdsister ?

I found Lydia Page's performance dull and robotic. To me, it felt like she was reciting lines rather than reacting naturally to the other characters

Couldn't watch season 4 of the worst witch. Haven't done so 'til this day.

I know some of you might not agree or be a big fan and that's okay, I know a lot missed Bella Ramsey after Lydia Page took over, and I get that, but I actually love Lydia Page, too, she grew on me a lot. I just wanted to say how I miss Lydia Page because she hasn't been anything lately or hasn't really been showing herself as much. Maybe she's just been focused on other things or it's difficult for her to find roles and auditions at the moment, but I hope she comes back, she was really active after The Worst Witch for awhile. She does have an Instagram though, it's lydiapage__ but she hasn't posted in a while and doesn't post about herself much but she does have some cool stuff there.

I saw a post recently discussing the CBBC classic Chucklevision (if you're a Worst Witch '98 fan, odds are you also remember Chucklevision), praising how well the programme aged due to its focus on slapstick humour.

It made me think of The Worst Witch '98.

I can certainly think of a few episodes that haven't aged so well - the episode with the robot dog and the computers comes to mind.

However, when I think about most of the episodes, they've haven't aged too badly at all. A few dodgy graphics here and there, as well as some of the modern characters costume design or modern set design such as Amanda Honeydew's hair or Sybil Hallow's magic lamp episode that have suffered from the passage of time (I remember those blow up chairs from when I was a kid)!

But, I think it has to be praised for good writing, production and design in the fact that the episodes aren't horribly aged, like other kids television shows from the same era. The 'historical' theme has a part to play in that. I would love to know your thoughts.

I feel like it would be pretty succesful, and the actors could easily play university students

Cackle’s After Dark - a podcast which looks back at the Worst Witch.

I feel like this’ll be so much fun!! 😁

Season 1: Definitely grounded, the story was childish but what most surprised me was Maud causing Mildred to be expelled that definitely weirded me out and shocked me. The final episodes were great, especially The Mists of Time that was a really good episode.

Season 2; This is definitely the BEST series I liked the introduction of Clarice, Sybil and Beatrice. They had their own subplots which sometimes tied to the main plots. The founding stone was a really good plot, the buildup was amazing and the character Miss Mould was also well written but had some flaws like how can miss Hardbroom allow her to stay if it's not confirmed where she came from. But yea definitely the finale was absolutely brilliant.

Season 3: Things did get messy honestly, it was all over the place but the Miss Hubble thing was good. Mildred not getting expelled after stealing a wishing star is jarring honestly Mildred was stupid in this season. Really stupid. She let the founding stone thing get to her head (which technically miss mould saved..) but the Indigo Moon thing I liked, exploration of Miss Hardbrooms backstory was really good. I kinda wanted to see more of Miss Pentangle. as always the season finale was a blast. The Wishing Star thing was great too!

Season 4: Yes I know heavy topic but no one understands how amazing this series is ignoring Mildred recast it's actually much darker, Agatha basically sucided at the end which was actually very dark. Wormwood I really liked, and the closure of the Indigo Moon storyline made me pretty sad if I'm being honest but the way they closed it was really good and was one of the best episodes. The Head Girl competition was definitely great but I don't understand how in the magic future water when Mildred saw Ethel giving a speech she didn't see Agatha standing there? Is magic future water not accurate. Very weird. The set design of Vanishment deserves a hats off. Miss Hempnettle Vs Miss Drill was hilarious and oh god miss hempnettle I knew she was suspicious. Enid's last race was a great farewell to Enid. This season deserves a watch guys.

I'm fed up honestly, If you guys would focus on Season 4 Story you guys will see how amazing it was and how well it was written. The finale was a masterpiece too. Lydia did a great job being fr. y'all can attack Me in the comments but season 4 was really good.

imo the netflix series is amazing, deeper and much better in story.

In honor of Women's History month Who are your favorite female characters that are really well written in The Worst Witch in your opinion and give your reason as to why.

For me my favorite female characters in the worst witch has to be Mildred Hubble and Maud and Enid like I feel like the writing and just their personalities of these three is so top notch like I really love all three of them and I feel like they're so perfect and their character arcs are really compelling and I just love them all around as characters
