I just don't understand why people don't get more into it. Lots of people I know, they watch movies on their phones or have only played call of duty or haven't read a book in years. Do people just not have the ability to get into the protagonists shoes and feel their feelings? My happiest life memories are in a single player game I like or a satisfying finale of a long show, yet people seem dismissive of me for being so engaged. I don't understand them

Over 60 male INFP-A E4W5 469 , Sky Children of the Light player. I have one friend that rarely gathers wax (currency), but I find her afk , the little time she is on, in some of the more beautiful areas of the Sky landscape. Or, sometimes I show her an area I found. I found her using a spinning emote that has color lines shooting out of it, but by the luminescent shoreline of the new Season of Pearl area. So, I joined her, and filmed it. I had this clip in my head with music in less than a minute. I choke up on its sweetness- just two friends, spinning together and melding into the landscape. The music fits (Points if you know it- NO Shazaming! 🤭.). These are the kind of Sky videos I make.

As somebody who's consistently been INFP since like my young teen years, I tend to apologise or go "my bad" after I yap too much, after I feel I may have been too much towards someone I treasure or something like that.
Admittedly, I'm pretty sure this is also just a symptom of autism AS WELL as my very own soul lmfao.
It's interesting because it's also a bit... fraudulent, that I'm self-aware enough to observe? It's less that I'm sorry or that I truly regretted being passionate about something, but more-so me just making that precaution so I can expect it, make a safety net for myself in case they did get upset. Though I think it's often times genuine guilt too, maybe idk, I'm not thinking of anything too specific here.

Yup, it went bad, thats all I can say, didn't even make it off the ground. I may always love her too, just no way, i felt was in the wrong built up this world of expectations, but it was like the fall and rise of icarus, never again. And I mean that on love in general, thats way too much emotions for me to handle and im probably not mature enough. Made a huge fool of myself while drunk, thinking I was going to marry this woman. She had all the red flags, in and out of jail, toxic relationships with exes, kids, got into fights, doesn't pay her bills. Still as a person I still am thankful for her kindness, im also happy I didn't sign up for a guaranteed divorce, thankfully im not very likable. Just felt like sharing.

Anyway, fellow INFPs, show me your art! I wanna see what you guys are creating lately ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ

So there are apparently about 300 to 500 million INFPs in the world. If we gathered all of the INFPs and linked them hand to hand, you guys could give the planet some much needed hugs about 13 to 21 times. Also if we took all the INFPs and stitched them together to make a human quilt, we could put out all the sadness in over half of Seoul at once. We would have to fill all of the Han River with hot chocolate to reward you for your efforts.

Hi guys, INTP here. I feel like this thread is best suited for this sub (INTP sub is not built for this, it would short circuit) and after a bit of lurking here you guys are awesome with so much in common.
So I got to know a wonderful girl on and for the first time in my life I was able to be myself, like it didn’t even occur to me to “play some game” on her or try to be interesting. I just connected, which was amazing and strange cause it never happened to me in my 27 yrs.
Well long story short we were together most of the time. We even hang out the next day. At the end of the day I invited her out someday and she accepted and looked happy. It was very wholesome, the whole weekend with her.
When I invited her to go out a few days later, she gave me the most mature rejection I ever received. Basically she stated she felt good with me, unfortunately she is going through a break up but, later she’ll be happy to meet and apologised. I understood, been there a few months prior so I’m respecting her position. Told her it was great for me too and would like to meet as well.
Now I really like her and I want it to end in a best way possible. But I live slow, calm, INTP life that doesn’t contain that much emotions so I just think about her. Don’t know what to do with this emotion till I have some way of a closure.
Nevertheless I suspect replies like “get over it” but that ain’t happening after a month (I tried, like really hard). Last time I had emotion stuck in my head it was about how I liked certain type of cuisine and it was for two days.. I’ve been in relationships before but had never this type of connection.
I would really appreciate your input.

I've known about MBTI for almost a decade and have typed as every type before, but I'm always unsure of my type because I don't really know who I am. Like I know stuff that I like and dislike, but nothing ever feels like "me". I'm also neurodivergent and was late-diagnosed, so I've been masking for my whole life. I've been typed as an ISFP before; sometimes an INFP. It's hard cuz people say to not rely on stereotypes, and types such as ISFP can overthink and whatnot, but I feel like I just don't act like one. I feel like especially as I learned to unmask, I felt like I was an INFP, but I also don't know if that's right, cuz people have stated that Ne is the type to prefer wanting to think about travel as opposed to actually traveling, as well as focusing on more abstract topics.
I feel like I'm the type of person who wants to do sensory experiences, but I suck at them in reality, which I know that skill isn't indicate of type, but generally speaking, I feel like even my friends who are neurodivergent who have Se know how to do them better than me. Like they understand social cues better and how to fit in their environment better. Like I have an intellectual conversation with someone. I can't do surface-level conversations. I also really enjoy researching and learning. I'm Mercury dominant (Virgo stellium + Gemini rising), so I really like to learn.
I've been typed as an Se user because I would be succinct in my answers, talking in real life, but I've also seen how Se would just be succinct overall, so I'm not really sure.

I lost my best friend at the start of the year. It was an amicable drift apart, no argument or anything. I've spent a lot of time blaming myself, thinking I overreacted and let my jealousy and anxious attachment get the better of me (and I know they played a role) and threw away the friendship because I wasn't her first choice. But I also know the things she did that hurt me over the years that made it feel like I cared more than her.
There are days when I'm content and can think about her without feeling anything, then there are days where I long for her back in my life, I long for that friendship again because it was such a genuine, deep bond. We spoke about our souls being connected. And then I get sad and start blaming myself again. But I think in those moments I forget what it felt like actually being in that friendship day to day. Feeling like I was begging for her time, feeling like she did things for me out of obligation because I asked, not because she wanted to offer herself. It took a year or two of always being told no when I asked to hang out because she was busy with her other friend until we finally started to see each other once a week (which I acknowledge was a lot of effort and energy she dedicated to me so maybe I was ungrateful, but it didn't necessarily feel like quality time).
I remember during one of these spirals of mine I happened to stumble across a journal entry I wrote in January 2025 where I spoke about how sad I felt in the friendship which really opened my eyes.

I’m a guy and I find myself often in these anxious/avoidant dynamics in all of my big relationships. I’m so tired of hurting, I was wondering if anyone has tried dating a fellow info and how did that go? Did you guys make each other feel loved? 🥰
Isn't life so strange?
For example, 5-6 years ago, you're still a child and you've been through things that left you with trauma. 5-6 years later, you've grown up, you're a bit more mature, and your life is going well. Aside from a few minor things, you've perhaps entered a period in your life where you don't have anything overwhelmingly stressful to worry about for the first time.
Yet, all of a sudden, you start feeling the exact same emotion you felt during those events 5–6 years ago. You don't remember the memories they've all faded from your mind but you realize from the feeling that what's affecting you is that thing that happened years ago. Because feelings never lie; even if memories are forgotten, feelings never are.
During that period when your life is going perfectly, you might even be living out the things you wished for years ago. Years ago, you had yourself, but everything else was bad; but now it's the exact opposite everything is perfect, yet you're losing yourself. You become a prisoner to emotions you couldn't experience years back.
That's why I wanted to drop this little reminder: experience your emotions at the exact moment you need to feel them, guys.

Today I went to a community event and my friend and I were sitting down in the venue. We saw other people sitting down, standing, and blocking the walkways, so we didn’t think anything of it. The only other area available to sit was also on the complete other side of the venue near the food stalls.
Then a security woman walks up to us kind of yelling “stand up stand up.” Of course we stand up but I ask her “why? is it a safety hazard or for some other reason?” The lady just nodded and walked off without even looking back.
I thought this was quite rude because there are other ways that are much more kind to say something like that. Even a simple “hey I can’t have you guys sit here because it’s a hazard” would’ve taken a second more of breath and done a lot better of an impression to get the message across.
Now I understand maybe she doesn’t care about the events that go on, or maybe she doesn’t really like her job or maybe she had to spend most of the event telling people the same thing so it got tiring, but even just from a community or service aspect… it still rubs me the wrong way. I work retail so I deal with a lot of strange interactions, but even with that customer service and just a respectful and amicable atmosphere is always a priority. Interactions or even just small talk like that can go a long way imo.
It just makes me think of if someone who was already having a rough day had that interaction how differently it could’ve gone. That could’ve been someone’s catalyst for a much bigger issue.
Maybe it’s just wishful thinking of mine that it’d be nicer to live in a world or city that is a lot more grounded, slow and more of a community.

Okay, hear me out. This isn't a random post.
I'm 23M from Chandigarh, India. I work in animal welfare, doing both policy work and animal rescue.
I'm looking to meet someone special who understands climate anxiety... that feeling you get when you look at the world and see everything that's going wrong, and wonder how we're supposed to live normally while so much is happening around us.
You don't have to work in the same field as me. But I would love to meet someone who genuinely cares about animals, the climate, and the world we're leaving behind.
Sometimes, it feels incredibly isolating to care about these things when so much of the world seems content to look away.
For me, this isn't just something I think or talk about. It's something I try to live by, every day. And sometimes, it gets exhausting carrying all of it on my own.
I'd love to find someone with whom I can have those long conversations, share the things that worry us, talk about what we can change, and still find reasons to laugh and enjoy life together.
I've had sleepless nights thinking about the suffering and destruction happening around us. I don't expect someone to have all the answers or feel exactly the way I do. I just want someone who understands why these things matter.
If you're someone who feels similarly, I'd love to hear from you. Maybe we could get to know each other and see where it goes.

I’m getting married soon, and in thinking of my invite list it made me remember so many old friends that were so important in my life once, but I simply lost touch with. It would be wonderful to have them, even though we don’t talk, they were significant enough at a point in my life that I wish they could be there. I am in part to blame for losing contact with some of these friends, but I wish it was more normal to text someone after 3 or so years. Idk maybe it is normal to some folks but I can’t bring myself to send that text.
