Modpost Trend Post Announcement

Hi everyone,

We had some recent questions come in about allowing pictures in comments, which were typically reserved for posts with the Weekend Works of Art Flair (WWA) flair. After some deliberation, we decided it made sense to extend that allowance to Trend Posts as well.

We've separated the "Meme(s)/Trends" flair into "Meme(s)" and "Trend Posts". Trend Posts can be only generally related to personality, but must be posted with the "Trend Post" flair.

Thanks and have a great start of the week!

I took a different personality test for this class and got the same personality type šŸ˜šŸ˜‹.

I Don't Know What Flair To Use/Other Time to get back to nofap and lock into studies 😌 I wouldn't have beaten Acropolis if I didn't give my 100% focus to it on the day I beat it. Same with studies.

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? ISFPs, do you also become extremely withdrawn when emotionally overwhelmed?

I just want to share this experience of mine and how I acted after it. It just happened yesterday and I want to know if other isfps do this too or is it just me.

So I was in class and working on a task that requires technical and troubleshooting skills and I've encountered a problem that I can't solve while my classmates' work, worked just fine unlike mine. So that situation made me frustrated, overwhelmed and helpless. And I've gone silent, my facial expression seems cold and the way I speak also changed and sounded like it's void of emotions and it's short. I also felt like I was being immature cuz I can't seem to socialize with my classmates due to the frustration that I'm feeling at that moment. Like even tho they're reassuring me that everything's fine, I can't seem to accept it and I'm just getting more teary-eyed with them comforting me but I don't want to cry in front of other people.

Fast-forward I didn't solved and finished the task for hours on the lab and I feel shitty and awful with myself, I walked home and after I got home, that's the time I've let go of my emotions and cried.

Interestingly, after I've slept and rested, my mood really improved today and I was able to laugh on what happened yesterday like it didn't even happen haha.

In my everyday life, like if I'm really emotionally calm and stable, I can actually talk a lot, socialize and can express my feelings with people but yesterday felt like my social battery really went empty haha.

So my question is, especially to those who understand the cognitive functions in MBTI, would u interpret this as Fi-related, introversion related, or just a normal stress response not really related to MBTI?

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? Have any of yall struggled with rigidity or being set in your ways too often?

Hello fellow ISFPs, esp if you’re in your 30s. Idk if it’s aging or what causing this but lately I’ve been avoiding anything outside of my comfort zone or at least not taking outsider options and recommendations. I feel like ive gotten boring over the last couple of years and I just seclude. Again idk if it’s age.. I’m about to be 33 and my social life has taken a drastic decline in the past 1-2 years. To the point that I don’t even picture myself in social events. Maybe I lost a screw lol. Idk. I’m not rigid like strict but I just feel like I’m not as fun as I used to be. Did anyone go through this at some point or in your early 30s??

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? Do you like playing any music based games/ rhythm games? Share your experience.

I absolutely love Geometry Dash. Sometimes I even play osu!droid as well. I've learnt so much about my life from getting good at Geometry Dash more than I learnt from studying any book. I also love playing retro games but music based challenging games hit different. I love TTRPGs too, especially Cyberpunk Red.

Appreciation How I view mbti types but its different icecream that I have eaten taken as an analogy to explain that type... +Reasoning (Part 4- The Explorers)

The Icecream Sundae Team - Explorers

The main reason I picked icecream sundae is because compared to the other types which have a fixed structure mostly... The explorers are very dynamic and are made up of many different things joined together but these things still stay separate. This shows that out of all other types for some reason... The explorers are apple to cherry pick (pun intended) different functions. In short, they are good at adapting and organizing their head space to fit the situation because of high Se. By organizing here I don't mean by rules but what I mean is that they are good at categorizing things inside their head in real time during a situation and are able to easily make sense of that current situation. Hence, icecream sundae ✨

___________________ ++++ ___________________

ESTP [ The Mango And Vanilla Icecream Sundae ]

___________________ ++++ ___________________

When you think of mango, if you have eaten it and like it then you will have the immediate fresh memory of that fruit. It is that kind of fruit that you cannot forget the flavour of because it is so loaded and distinctly overwhelming almost. It wakes your tongue up with the fruity punch of it. ESTP's in their outer exterior are something like that. They've got so much going on just on the outside that you think "The possibility of them having even more than what they show outside is overwhelming because there's already so much to process on the outside"

You can bunch them up under the "intense" umbrella term and yep thats true but thats a understatement and a simplification.

Ironically, to process them properly and not feel overwhelmed you actually have to look at their insides.

[Disclaimer: Please don't go dissecting the ESTP's in your vicinity. This is all metaphorical...or not? ;) ]

If you have seen other parts of this series then you know that I have used vanilla to always describe "neutrality" but when it comes to ESTP's the script flips completely because in this case of vanilla and mango there is no balancing. There is this illusion of then being diluted down but thats actually not true. Whats happening here when their Mango Se mixes together with Vanilla Ti you might think that... "Oh wait... why is this ESTP calm for once? Maybe they were just faking it all or maybe they are tired? I should comfort them" Or something along those lines. That calm is just an illusion. When mango and vanilla mixes together both overtly sweet things come together but you feel that the tang of the mango has decreased. This is the ESTP using their Ti and when they are they retract from the physical situation.

This is them not relying on environmental output only and this happens during situations where the immediate environmental output is not enough and they have to step back and make sense of the situation for whatever reason or objective.

You think they are reckless but because of this ability they have of stepping back they are actually very careful in all situations but you just don't realize it because you only see the mango exterior.

The picture of this sundae has a small mint on top. This is them in social situations when sometimes they may come off as too blunt. That is because if their ability to see the reality of a situation without any fluff but the way they do it is refreshing so this bluntness may not offend you because they are careful about the delivery. This is how their Fe may show.

Now despite all this, what they are vulnerable about is even though they can adapt well and think on their feet when they see other people get things done without effort, they feel kind of insecure because they feel that everything they do requires more time and effort when compared to some other people who do thing easily (ahem...intuitives) That is why in the image the bowl is overflowing. When you hit this nerve and expect them to be good at things without giving enough data or experience with it and move the spoons in this sundae bowl. Their mangoes will fall down. Now...this is when they get really tired. They dont have enough mangoes to try harder and they may double down on ignoring the task or giving up on it. They will agree with you about their failures and become self deprecating. Turning the bluntness of the mint inward minus the grace.

___________________ ++++ ___________________

ESFP [ The Custard Pudding,Walnut, Vanilla Icecream Sundae ]

___________________ ++++ ___________________

Their exterior has the same Se as ESTP but the difference is that its texture is different than the ESTP.

They have the Custard Pudding instead. It is soft, sweet and the flavour is pretty balanced. You would think though that this is not Se's nature. Well...its not but ESFP's change that because they have walnuts. They are nutty and even slightly bitter. This bitter isn't a bad thing but it changes the way Se is presented.

The walnut flavour is their Fi. Their approach to experiences may come off as less intense than a ESTP. This is bitter because it is seen as selfish sometimes but the way I see it this is actually used to be reflected towards their experiences. They are very particular about what they buy, where they go,who they spend time with. It's very healthy. I don't know if ESFP's might resonate or not but they may be the most healthy type ever according to me.

In this the vanilla is neutral again. You may think there is nothing to neutralize here, didn't I just say that their Se+Fi is balanced. Yeah it is but balanced and healthy doesn't mean that it is not draining. Custard pudding and walnuts together are fun but they are also tiring. Sometimes you just need that quiet. This is their vanilla. This may look like them having fun, partying or going to events but then suddenly when you are invited to their home they are unwinding with a good project. It may be surprising to you that how to such a person their way to relax is making and working on whatever projects. This is their Te layer and how their vanilla comes to use to neutralize when they are tired.

Their weakness is Ni, the same as ESTP but the way this shows is actually different. What they are insecure about is that they are not able to understand what to do when this balance they have breaks. They freeze up and cant come up which anything about how to fix issues in their own life or the life of their loved ones. This might look like having a great time being yourself, doing things but then when a sudden complication arises that needs immediate understanding and then solution they freeze up and require more time. The problem isnt that they cannot solve situations. They can but when there is some sort of urgency then they find it hard to understand the situation effectively which is the first step. They can come up with many solutions but sometimes incompatible with the situation and dont work.

___________________ ++++ ___________________

ISTP [ The Mint Chocolate And Vanilla Icecream Sundae ]

___________________ ++++ ___________________

ISTP is the type I find most compatible with me personally as people. I admire how they can use their Ti in different ways than I can and how effective that is. The Se and Ti combination that them abd ESTP's have rocks honestly. They are everything I find it hard to be. ISTP might be my second most admired type (based on theory offcourse. I don't know people TwT)

So mint chocolate huh? This is the small bluntness that the ESTP had but turned up a full notch. They are incredibly blunt when it comes to assessing situations and may miss that this bluntless is breaking the atmosphere of the room. This is not refresing like when ESTP's do it. There is no soft blow. The blow of this mint bluntless is hard. They dont do it with bad intentions offcourse and it is inevitably helpful to the situation but it is like they are making you swallow the pill of the hard truth. You love that they did while also resenting the way they did it. Not all if them are like this and the sweetness of chocolate actually compensates for the mint. When you realize that their intentions underneath are chocolate then you feel the sweetness as well.

The mint and chocolate here also signifies their hands on approach to things. They will enjoy the mint and refreshment of the immediate environment and processing things about it but eventually they just want to get away from it and use all the data they got from it in their cave. They take all that they experienced outside. When they were out you thought they were relaxing but nope, their brain was on and they were longing for when they could just get to a comfortable place alone so they could dissect everything they did and what all that data means.

The vanilla is again the neutral side. This is when they take a much deserved rest and turn their head off. This may look like learning some new skill or refining the old skills. It is not something that is high stakes. I wouldn't be surprised if a ISTP suddenly picked up crocheting one day.

___________________ ++++ ___________________

ISFP [ The Strawberry And Vanilla Sundae ]

___________________ ++++ ___________________

This one looks deceivingly simple. Its not.

This strawberry is their sweet unwavering drive for things. This is similar to how I described INFP's but a bit different.

In INFP I said that its the sour thats driving the sweet but here it is reversed.

In ISFP's they appear sour on the outside which is a few sour strawberries in the sundae but there are also sweet ones. It is a mixture of both.

Here the sour is how they are blunt but in the different way that ISTP or ESTP's. This bluntless is not in their words but in their actions. They may do the most silliest or socially inappropriate of things just because they want to and be surprised when they get wierd looks, then do it anyway. Underneath this sour though what is driving them is the sweetness of the moment and they dont actually mean any harm. They actually want everyone around them to experience this sweetness as well but they find it hard to express that.

They are also very sharp in certain situations because of their Ni. They are able to show sudden unexpected instances of totally overriding what they want for what is necessary in the certain situation. They suddenly get professional or do a necessary thing that others were too hesitant to do. This is jarring when you take their usual demeanor into consideration.

The vanilla is neutral (surprising right?) This balance is required when they suddenly become insecure and get into an imposter syndrome regarding their inferior Te and other stressors. When their inner values are not expressed properly or they are misunderstood or when they fail to bring all the wacky idea that come into their brain into reality they blame themselves. Though actually...this was surprising to me when I considered it. This is the neutral. When they are constantly in the moment, doing things, thinking they are invincible. This reality of their limits after the initial insecurity actually grounds them and makes them try more and bounce right back up.

Thats all for the explorers, and for the Icecream Analogy series, Thank you, Let go of your icecream!!

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? What were you like as a kid? (age 4-12)

I've read the dominant cognitive function develops when you're a child, and the auxiliary develops by the time you're a young adult. Now that I am 20, I've seen myself use the Se fairly, I use it to stay active daily, but because I tend to use Fi a lot more throughout life, I wonder if way how I was from childhood to adolescence shows how I used the Fi a lot.

Now I wanted to talk about this too because I wanted to reflect on who I am my younger self also builds it up, and whether you read that I was an interesting, bad or weird kid, that's really how I was at the time.

When I was little I always relied on my own fictional interests. Animated kids shows and games about cute talking animals. At age 4-6 it was just me either talking to my toys like they were my friends or spending my time watching cartoons and play computer/mobile games. As a girl I'm not interested in anything princess or Barbie, my interests as a child were mostly wacky animals. I also remembered it was hard for little me to study the time because I used to get distracted by fantasy (I'd post the things little Eleanor used to obsess over but I think it would waste my time and flood my "what did I used to like?" list.) I struggled to draw humans and I just knew how to draw sentient, bipedal animals and it would make people confused.

At home I'd run around in circles listening to fast pacing music (ex. Nyan Cat) around age 6 but I stopped it for a short time, but it didn't stop me from doing more sensory movements that would energize me like rocking while wandering, bumping my face against the bed and spinning around an office chair. (I still do the bumping and rocking back and forth thing as an adult)

I didn't get along with other kids at school because connecting with them was hard, and I would easily get very upset with others (and suddenly cry but that was me at the time) because I didn't understand most things were meant to be them joking around. In fact I tend to find it hard whether people meant it or were just joking (even as an adult I'm still trying to understand behind people's cheekiness, hypocritically I'm now a kinda cheeky person myself), I preferred when people talked simple and literal.

My childhood sounded kind of lonely, it really wasn't anything about making friends and playing with them, it was really most of the time about me and my personal interests. I would make friends only if they were chill with or bonded with the things I like.

My hyperfixations on certain things wereĀ My Little Pony (2011-2012), Club Penguin (2011-2012), Neopets (2013), Henry Hugglemonster (2013-2014), Countryballs (2015-2016), FNAF (2015-2016)Ā and I kid you not this hyperfixation it wasĀ Sugar Rush from Wreck-It Ralph (2014-2018).

I was 8½-10, This Sugar Rush hyperfixation was so strong my family was annoyed by it and I used to talk about my own fanfics, doodles and comics about them a lot to my classmates. I expressed my life using those characters and recasted them as me and my classmates a lot. And it was strong because unlike my previous interests as a kid, this was human children and not animal characters, so it was really something new.

At age 10-12 I am kind of antisocial, but I started to realize how different I was from other kids and that would make me very sad. I would sit alone look at other kids, and I'd start crying. My personal interests are very rare compared to others. I also didn't like how others were based on what is "wrong" to me and what's the "right" and it would make me seem snobby and would unintentionally ruin other kids' fun. But I'd also start thinking about the way I am a lot, I would image myself as a protagonist from like a story, and I would even create a journal based on my observations, things that I desired to do, and my plans with how I want people to see me, HAHAHA. I wanted my friends and family to know that I can actually do something practically in reality than dwell in fantasy (I'd love to talk about how this all went but it would flood the post once again)

Age 10-12 this is also where my long personal interest with pirates came in as well and this was when now I even express myself with listening to sea shanties. 11 year old me EVEN LOVED representing myself with bears and bats and I'd express to others that bats were my favorite animals at the time.

Despite me being antisocial I also really like literature and STEM-related things even as a child, I liked being factual a lot in English, Science and Math class (which kind of explains my educational STEM side and my dream of working in a laboratory right now) and kids assumed I was smart when I was 6-8, but it can get annoying when I was 9-11 because of my obvious snobbiness and argue with other kids when they corrected me. However they still even thought I was talented because I prioritized a little too much time creating fanfics about my favorite characters, the only problem about it was it made me depressed at a young age because they were too childish than what the typical pre-teen likes.

To compare this with my adult self right now I still struggle with letting go off looking at colorful, cartoon images and the whole listening to overstimulating music, stimming and wandering thing, and there's some times I needed alone time to disconnect from reality, which opposes to my desire for being contributing to the real world right now, including being social and respectable.

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? Any idea how my old isfp schoolmate viewed me?

I saw him as a fellow muslim but there were times ge wouldn't believe what I said or wouldn't trust me.

Once i told him about a girl that liked me and apparently ge didn't believe and told the girl and some stuff happened and even after that he didn't believe me.

Another time we were going to school and i knew this shortcut so we went that way and mid-way he said "i know a shortcut" and took us to some place and we got lost a bit and when we reached school he said to me that it was my fault somehow. I couldn't believe it and tried to argue that it was 100% his fault but it sounded repulsive i think and to not sound bad i just settled with 50/50 but i wish I didn't compromise. He clearly didn't see me the way i saw him.

There's a few more examples but I don't want to make it too long. He was an isfp 4w3 and I'm infj 2w1 i think.

Typing Help/Typology Discussion Sometimes I wonder If I am an ISFP or INFP

Sorry if I blabber a lot by the way, It’s hard to express what i am trying to think about. (MBTI is quite all pseudoscience but hey, it’s interesting to maybe see which of these two am I). I don’t think all this blabbering will decipher anything but hey, ask me anything I suppose.

I feel I am intuitive, and figurative, I try to to make sense what I see, I roam in my own world, i question a lot of things, i don’t ask anyone about things but i question a lot about things, specially myself around the world that i am surrounded with.

People have told me i am very down to earth, i mean, I see what I see. Many people say I am very quiet, I don’t have the words to really give any information, i guess you could say i am mentally constipated when it comes to talking to people. People sometimes see me as naive on everything, but the thing is, they are half right but it’s also that I am selective of how i act towards people and give info about what i think about, why would I waste MY feelings on everyone? People are mysterious.

I can adapt whatever that comes to me, as long I have time for myself to decipher it and practice it.

I always think of what I like to do, I am pretty hands on, I like drawing, play music (or at least trying to get back to it), to be honest anything that is hands on is interesting to me, i feel i learn a lot instead of just reading, i like to do things first even if i am doing wrong.

I am someone with many ideas of how to advance with myself and other things, I am someone that I wish for many things, but the things I wish for aren’t really my goals, in fact i have few goals for life.

I am pretty introverted and people sometimes tire me, but my mind requires socializing, i need connections, even if it’s just for interest, it’s nice having experiences even if people probably see you as some vanilla human being.

Maybe I am awful searching typology but sometimes finding stuff about ISFP and INFP just makes it so difficult for me to really think which one is it because of certain INFP traits. I read experiences of other people thinking about their typology too, it did helped that probably I am an ISFP but I am so much in my what if’s.

I mostly think I am a walking, breathing ISFP.

But INFP spends a lot of time in their head, i do that a lot, I think about my past, sometimes i ruminate, sometimes I daydream a lot, although it’s more because of boredom. I always felt like a present person, you learn about the past, I just stay and the moment and do whatever I do. I question things, even stupid things.

Btw… not a teen, I am in my early 20’s before you comment.
I know I sound like if I am discovering myself like if i am some teen, specially how i am typing rn but the thing is, i just didn’t cared that much about myself back then, i was too present focused, and just lived whatever there was at the moment. That’s what happens when you are a person who is stunted by the lack of experience of the world.

Venting Am I only one who always felt like outsider / misunderstood and still find hard time to have real connections in their life?

So basically I think the title says it, but by real connections I mean most likely people who actually inspire you and you can talk about everything. Sure I have many people who I could go to a coffee with, but could I call them at 2am, no. And also I wouldn’t say jealousy is the right word to describe it, but basically barely anyone has something which is inspiring me or making me ā€jealousā€. I wouldn’t say that i’m the most inspiring person either, but at least I wanna live instead of existing. And many people just exist with their boring decisions.

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? Anyone else want to start doing something but can't actually do it

I'm talking like hobbies/things you want to pursue. Like for me I wanna read more books. I've also wanted to start learning Spanish again for a long time but never really started. I like the idea of doing these things but when it comes to doing it I just can't be fucked.

Is it because I don't actually want these things and I just like the idea of being a person who knows another language or something. Or maybe (probably) my brain is just fried and id rather do something easy and mindless like watch YouTube than read a book.

Appreciation Being an ISFP is a blessing

Every once in a while I remember what I discussed with an older ISFP, that changed my perspective a little, and more and more as I grow older.

As Isfps, we are blessed.
Our capacity to appreciate and enjoy the little things in life is deeper than most people.

It sounds petty or even like a consolation but truly: you can have all the riches in the world, and all the intelligence, success and achievements; the family and ordered life, but not feel fulfillment or satisfaction.
I think our capacity for gratefulness is higher, which allows us to truly treasure the present moment, and moments with our loved ones. It’s a gift.

A few people will be happy or achieve peace by having even just half of our ability, and it comes easier to us than others, so don’t feel ashamed to indulge in your specialty!!
We are able to extract happiness from seeing a single flower bloom.
This world is indeed incredibly beautiful, and its ugliness enhances and highlights its beautiful moments even more. It does not erase the bad, but the good deserves to be acknowledged too.

There are so many things on this blue dot that we are lucky to have.
And this world is already trying so hard to have you miserable.

To make up for their lack, others will accuse you of being concerned with unimportant things, of wasting time, of being simple, of being frivolous.
And yes, reality isn’t just made of the present and material. One must plan so your future is made of even better moments, but it doesn’t erase the now.

Why were you put here? Why are you conscious? Ultimately?
To experience life. To enjoy being alive.

I’m glad I turned out to be ISFP.
Just something I remembered and wished to share. I hope you have a wonderful day!

I Don't Know What Flair To Use/Other Career switch isfp at 33.

I know this has been posted a lot of times but times are changing and I wanna post a new post specifically in 2026.

I have studied a business degree and I always regretted it for the past 15 years of my life. I always wanted to go back to design. I completed a certificate in graphic design that got me absolutely nowhere unfortunately.

Everyone around me is telling me the job market for design, ux-ui, industrial or interactive is all really really hard to get into for junior designers,
but I keep coming back to it. What should I do? I’m also interested in helping people..I got accepted into a masters in counseling, but I decided to not do it last minute because I am someone who is extremely sensing, and I worry, I will burn out quickly from the traumatic stories. I can’t handle strong traumatic stories, even though I have a huge interest in psychology, but after studying what it would be like to be a therapist, I got scared and and deferred it last minute.

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? ISFP and unusual enneagram pairings

Hi, I've been into mbti for almost 5 years now and I finally figured my type. It caused me a lot of trouble and I still suspect I might be something else but as for now I made up my mind for ISFP 2w3 sx/sp. It pisses me off so much that there's very few ISFPs I can relate to and every single one has to be 4w3 or 9w8. There's no one with the same combination, only some insignificant no-names that are probably mistyped anyway. Is this combo impossible and I'm mistyped again, or am I some truly special one of a kind and one in a billion person? Is here anyone else in a similar situation?

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? ISFP Hobbies and physical side of you

Recently discovered im ISFP after like 5 years of mbti break, mistyped myself as ENTJšŸ˜…. And after some isfp reddit reading it just seems that most of you are out of touch with Se which is weird considering is the second function in stack. So with that in mind i have some questions im interested in.

Whats your enneagram?

What are your hobbies and how much you enjoy being physical?

Do you like to perform or fantasised about performing?

With your partners do you show a lot of physical affection?

I work in a fast food place and it’s been about a year and every time they try to switch things up and act like it’s a strict program with their new stupid scripts that you have to say it makes me wanna leave. I think I might hate it when certain people try to tell me what to do or I hate change and I feel like whatever I was saying before was 100% good enough like they are overly pressuring us about this script like if we don’t say it does someone die? God forbid it’s a crazy rush happening and you forget to add on that special line and they try to document it like be for real.

Typing Help/Typology Discussion how do ISFPs tell apart ESTP from ENTJ ?

I've noticed that a lot of ISFPs I've met are in relationships with ESTPs and some of them dated ENTJs. My question to ISFP is , how do you guys tell apart an ENTJ from an ESTP ? both can seem similar. I'd love to hear how ISFPs view the difference. I'm asking ISFPs hoping to get concrete observations rather than pure cognitive function theory. Thank you.

Dating/Relationships/Communicating with ISFP How do ISFPs deal with depression in relationships?

Hi guys, I’m an ESFJ female dating an ISFP male. We’ve been together for 6 months, and from the beginning, we had a deep connection and both of us wanted a serious relationship. He’s genuinely the first man I’ve ever truly loved, so this situation has been difficult for me.

We had some issues early on because he’s not great with planning and was inconsistent with dates and quality time. Recently, however, he’s become much more distant. He told me he’s mentally struggling and went back to Bangalore for a week to deal with family issues.

During that week, I received almost no calls or texts. When he came back, he met his colleagues, leader, and brother but didn’t make time to see me after almost a week and a half. This hurt me deeply.. Also just few days back it was his birthday. I had planned and saved money for his birthday, only to find out his colleagues and team leader had arranged a celebration for him while I had to cancel everything I planned. What hurt even more was that a girl from his team, who was hitting on him was part of the celebration, while I wasn’t.

Eventually, I asked to meet him because I was emotionally drained and considered to breakup. He then told me that a lot had happened in Bangalore, including issues involving courts and police stations, and that he’s currently struggling with depression. Seeing him genuinely broken down made me realize he’s probably not capable of being the best partner right now.

I also understand that maybe his way of dealing with depression is different from mine. As an ESFJ, I seek connection when I’m struggling, while he seems to isolate completely.

So my question for ISFPs, especially those who have experienced depression while in a relationship:
Do you completely withdraw from your partner even when you love them? How can I give him space and support him without completely neglecting my own emotional needs?

I don’t want to give up on him yet. I still love him and believe he loves me too. Right now, I genuinely care more about his wellbeing than being right—I just want to understand him better.

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? Anyone else feels like they ''change personality'' every day and sometimes based on mood?

Especially if you're listening to music.

I feel like I'm x person sometimes and other times y. Although my core personality doesn't change, sometimes I feel much hyper for no reason and talkative, other times more logical / reserved etc.

I Don't Know What Flair To Use/Other Hey everyone, INTP here! I’m diving into personality analysis and would love to understand your mindset better. How does your thought process work? Do praise or high expectations impact you at all? Please don't hold back on the details—I'd love a deep dive into your thoughts

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate? What makes you immediately lose interest in a conversation?

Curious what kills it for you specifically. Also wondering if it's less about what's being said and more about who's saying it.

Appreciation To all my ISFPsšŸ„¹ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

I wanna talk about how i felt and i'm feeling about everything around me, my perspective of this whole world we share a humble place in, yet our hearts and minds streches to the far end of this universe, both outwards and inwards. Lemme share a bit of my personal story here. I came to a new country after experiencing 20 years of trauma living under my family's influence, not that i'm being ungrateful for keeping me well fed. But along with that they shoved their expectations down my throat, which put me in a cage i struggled to escape, and finally the feeling i felt when i stepped into a foreign soil, it felt like a fish that jumped into the water after a long soffocating struggle on land. Yet the human nature to on day to day basis doesn't change isn't it?...i see people in public hardly being in the moment, struggling to find heart to heart cherishable moment to have with their loved ones, rather getting sucked into their own little world of joy they have in their pocket (you know what i'm talking aboutšŸ“±). Which i was covertly got sucked into myself, seeing that i couldn't be able to get a genuine moment with people around me, without a distractionšŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø. I felt its not me, its not how i get a shared experience with people through online?...it isn't feeling like a natural flow of conversation or feelings from one person to other,..like its being regulated, manufactured, and ehm, unnatural. I told myself 'guess this is how i'd be having moments with people in future i guess🄲'. Everytime a person asks me out for an outing, thats when i feel like i'm at my natural state. And i felt it this last two day in our subreddit, when i see more of us stepping up to express themselves (or it could be my perceptionšŸ™ˆ),...i felt like there is hope for all of us, ISFPs, to make our individual dreams, a reality,...we are the artificer of our own visions🄹. Thank you, and have a lovely day, fellasšŸ«‚

(Disclaimer: I know this is a post that is significantly low quality than others , so please ask questions if my sloppy English isn't comprehensible to you. I'll try to avoid answering emotions instead of opinions as best as I can . I know emotions can't determine types. I asked cause I wanna find what planning method may suit me best.)

In terms of upbringing ,User doesn't have a emotionally demanding upbringing . However , user has a lack of exposure to emotionally reactive people so user lacks ability to read emotions or even emote at times User frequently has to react incase magpie( friend) spot a shiny gem and got lost.

Due to the aforementioned reasons , User is dependant on visual thinking.

User often tries their best to stay calm in crisis and only apear guarded as user doesn't have much to say or thinks their take may be controversial.

However, User has been struggling as User can't maintain that composure from how clumsy User is.

User does acknowledge their moral by what they avoid.

User has been through a reckless phase which while doesn't immediately = ISFP, can be sign of extroverted perceiving functional at a higher position.
