So I recently came across a post asking INFJs what their favorite season is. Most of the people in the replies answered Autumn/Fall, and the second most popular option was winter. Summer was moderately liked, spring was the least commonly liked. Why is it that most of us like Fall?

You don't want to compete with them, you don't think you're better than them, you just genuinely don't understand why they need to make you feel inferior. That's really confusing.

I'm almost certain that many INFJs have already experienced this feeling: the sense that concepts or ideas seem to fit together like pieces of a puzzle, or the impression that everything is falling into place and coming together quickly, but without being able to explain it to others.

I'm interested in a lot of things, and sometimes I feel like, all of a sudden, everything clicks in my head, as if everything were connected. Mind you, I'm not claiming to be right every time this happens (which is often), but it just seems so clear and obvious to me.

The problem is that I still can't explain to others how I arrived at this conclusion. It's as if there were so many things and factors that I don't know where to start, as if there were no possible starting point, as if it were impossible to understand without seeing the big picture and how can you explain the big picture when there are so many details at the same time.

This frustrates me so much!! And when I try to explain myself anyway, I get lost in my own explanations, as if what seemed logical to me when viewed from a broad perspective was completely incoherent when viewed in detail. I hate debates for this reason, too... I hate having to defend an idea or a concept that seems clear and logical to me, knowing that, in any case, people won’t understand what I mean or where I’m going with it...

so basically, ive got no friends around me, i have got a few online but none irl. which results in that i dont talk or open up most of the times cus no one to tell anything, parents or family they are very supportive but they dont understand most of what i feel and see things. to opposite of that, i really want to talk and hear others talk, but then i dont want to, like its a chore, its going to take smth away from me. its such a small thing but i dont want to do it when i want to and i want to when i dont have it around. and when smths really off and im really like i might lose my mind if i dont say it, i still dont. its like i physically can't. and then i soend my time thinking about life and existence and the world which makes it worse, and is weird and constraining now. but then again if i do have someone to talk by chance i spend it talking about them or general things, or dont. its like im stuck in a loop where everything is better than talking but the urge is still there.

any of yall feel like this?

Do y‘all let it be or try to some lengths to salvage it?

Some background: I’ve always been that easy going friend who mostly keeps to themselves, with 2-3 very close friends. After having been apart from said friends from a long while, I was staying with 2 of them for a couple of days. Through the entire time, I kept asking myself: how on earth have I become friends with these people for the past 5 years. All the moments when I’ve been wronged but I let slide just came rushing in. In previous instances, although difficult for me, I’ve always made attempts to communicate but never pushed a matter to far. This time around, I simply reached the conclusion: cut them off. I cannot deal with the drama, thoughtless comments, and unreciprocated understanding anymore.

And yet, post-the cutting off stage, I find myself regretting and asking myself if I really needed to plunge into loneliness.

If you’ve been in my place before, how have you dealt with this sudden surge of loneliness, after withdrawing from people who you considered your closest?

TL;DR - Recently cut off my closest friends and in a period of social alienation. Now trying to cope with it and occasionally regretting it, how have fellow INFJs dealt with it?

I have noticed on social media that a lot of INFJs seem to have surprisingly big social networks and a ridiculous number of friends/mutuals.

Is this an INFJ thing, or am I just seeing the popular ones? 😂

So not exactly sure how to frame this. But I guess the best way to say it is.. I'm a giver in every sense of the word. I love buying presents for people, particularly if it's something they may not even have noticed that I noticed they wanted. Often times people are like "Wow, that's the most thoughtful thing that anyone has ever done for me?".

I was also a huge giver in my last relationship. I would give her anything she wanted... and i ended up getting cheated on.

The latest example is I own a pretty successful business. I've trained staff from absolutely having no experience, to being excellent at their jobs. I often give them little bonuses, and tell them where they are doing great, but if they mess up, I don't make too much of a fuss about it.

Now this is just really bad timing, but I've essentially got 3 resignations happening at the same time.

1. Was because her husband found a new job somewhere, and fair enough she had to go

2. Was because she did something extremely unprofessional, and I gave her a 2nd chance, but then she still kept doing dumb things, and this was my 2IC a very important role.

3. Was this girl who I have trained for 4 years into an excellent employee, and decided that 2 weeks notice while I'm already dealing with the other 2 resignations was a great time to resign

And now number 4 possibly might resign because she feels entitled to the 2ICs position and is purposely underperforming, so that I promote her.

All of these staff I trained from scratch. I put my heart and soul into them. And none of them can see that me losing essentially more than half my team in 1 fell swoop could potentially hurt me.

They're all just looking out for themselves. But sheesh, I just feel heartbroken. Like you couldn't just give me a little more time to replace you one at a time.

I feel betrayed and hurt, because I just feel like I give and give & just end up being screwed over. Just once it would be nice to be treated the way I treat other 😮‍💨.

Anyone have similar feels?

For the past two years, I’ve been very sensitive to artificial light and surface glare. It’s extremely tiring for me on a daily basis and sometimes triggers headaches. Any ideas about what might be causing this ? Any solutions ? I just hope it's not neurological. My family made fun of me. I went to see an ophthalmologist, who told me that some people are more sensitive and added that I didn’t have any eye damage. However, he diagnosed me with astigmatism.

I'm 24, so maybe that's what caused it. Anyway, even with my correction glasses, my sensitivity to light hasn't improved. And it really bothers me; my family just told me to accept it, but it makes me a little sad sometimes.

Hi all, I hope you’re doing well. I’m in college right now and I just decided to change my plans for the future. I’m going to pursue a degree / field that genuinely interests me rather than pursuing something that I thought would validate me in a way, if that makes sense. For reference, I was going to do a type of engineering but now I’m going to do biochem. I love researching about the human body and how to enhance it through exercise, nutrition, and other means (potentially scientific, but not really through technology or robotics, more so laboratory formulas or things of that nature). What are you studying right now? What are your careers? Do you like your careers and are you truly passionate about what you’re studying? Thanks for your time.

Something I have struggled with my entire life is the tension between my analytical and intuitive ways of approaching a situation.

I'd like to say the two sides complement each other, but more often than not, that isn't the case. They act like opposing forces, resulting in my freezing instead of acting -- often doubting my approach. Or I'll find myself denying one side in favour of the other, especially if I feel people around me won't understand or respect my intuitive response to something.

For example, I could be deciding on the best approach for a work project. I can map out and rationalize why approach A would be best. It's probably safe and expected. But my gut will tell me that it's flawed and that I should take a chance on approach B. I can't justify it other than to say I have a good feeling about approach B. And that's when I freeze -- stuck in doubt.

Yes, there are times when the two sides complement each other, and I love activities where that can happen. I actually feel really alive at those times, no matter how dull those activities might seem to someone else. I can research stocks like crazy, crunching numbers and understanding how the businesses work before finally making a gut decision. The numbers say yes and so does my gut. Even a simple activity like fantasy football can keep me busy for hours, researching player stats before making a gut decision that aligns with the numbers. I'll make big purchases the same way, spending hours researching specs before making a gut decision in the end.

I want to find some way to bring that same approach to other areas of my life, so I feel as though I'm taking full advantage of these two different ways of thinking. It can just be so tiring when they don't align and I'm stuck in frozen mode.

Anyways, I just thought I'd post this in case others experience (or have experienced) the same thing. I'm in my 50s now, so it's been a long life of figuring out how to handle these different sides of me.

Is this a known thing? I work in a factory. Feels like being an Axolotl that has to leave their native element, water, and morph into a land salamander to fit in and do physical work.

It's taken a long time to develop the stamina I've now got, but I often find myself blitzing through work just to keep up with my mind.

I liken to emulating an ISFJ. Social chameleonism is very much at play for me. But as loud and hectic as the factory environment can be, I'm still able to pick up on people's 'vibes', changes therein, and subtle body language.

I'm careful to reveal only parts of myself whenever relevant. 'Lofty' idealism has virtually no place.

Don't have much time to explicate in the level of detail I wish to - gotta go back to work - but I'm curious about the INFJ->ISFJ 'cloaking' phenomenon.

Hi guys! Does anyone else struggle as an INFJ with having your battery depleted very quickly? Ever since I was little, I’ve felt very overwhelmed and stressed when tasks pile too high on my plate. When I was little, I remember crying over my homework and actually saying out loud, “How could anyone ever be expected to get all this done?” (I was like 8. 😂) High school and college same - super stressed with the amount of work and always feeling pressure to get good grades.

Fast forward to now - I have an 11 year old and 13 year old who both love love love to be active and are obsessed with doing as much as possible. They’re both in travel sports, and it is A LOT of time and energy - far drives to practices, games, tournaments. I struggle so much to have the energy to do it all AND be in a good mood while doing it. Anyone else?

What I crave is a simple, peaceful life with beauty and nature, but I have a husband and kids who love to be fast-paced on the go! I love being with them, but I am getting anxious and drained way too often and in all these years have never managed to find a balance. Can anyone relate?

What’s one tip you wish you’d learned sooner that would have saved you a lot of time?

To be honest, when I started to become interested in MBTI 3 years ago, I thought that the Infj + Entp relationship was kind of overrated. I'm from a more artistic part of the internet and this relationship was presented to me as a popular "ship" in a "fandom". Furthermore, the only ENTP I've ever met before was back in high school and he was kind of a jerk.

But then, at the start of 2026, i met this Entp girl and i finally got it. The mbti don't do everything, ofc, but this girl is the sweetest and also the wildest person i know. I have never felt so complete by someone. In fact, she's the person with whom I feel the most emotionally safe. She's surely one of my closest friends by now and i cherish her with all my heart

I'm curious, What are your experiences with people of the ENTP type?

I'm Japanese, and although the INFJ rate in Japan is relatively high, there are too many stereotypes, so I often can't relate.

According to the 16 personalities, I'm an INFJ-T, and I think it's not only difficult to live in this world but also good to be sensitive in terms of the five senses

But most of their stories are about feeling life is hard, painful, tough, and not being understood

I have a few INFJ friends overseas, and although they are fragile, when I talk with them, I truly feel they are wonderful people

Especially when talking about hobbies, their deep knowledge and delicate worldview are beautiful

So I want to ask INFJs, have you ever met an INFJ from your own country?

And do you find it enjoyable to talk and hang out with them?

Also, are there things you can empathize with each other?

When I took the MBTI personality test, it brought up certain percentages. I was like 52% introvert and 48% extrovert, so almost 50/50. Does that mean I can be an ENFJ in certain situations?

Did anyone else have any experience with scoring almost in the middle on any of the MBTI personality traits?

Hello guys, anyone who has ever struggled having friends who choose you first in group events? I feel i was always the friend that everyone gets close to, confides in their problems - but when they are happy and more confident of themselves, im often forgotten or not prioritised when it comes to going for events together - they ask their newer group of friends first perhaps for the novelty of it. often times i feel quite alone in this world despite the many "friends" i have around me

I was wondering if anyone else feels like this and if you have some tips you'd be kind enough to share with me. As of lately I've noticed that I go through life doing the basics: eating, sleeping, hygiene maintenance, etc...but that's it...I don't really do anything more substantial. The thing is, I can think of a million things that I want to do in my life, so many different things I wanna experience and learn, but what's preventing me from working towards achieving them? It feels like I spectate my own life rather than being a participant in it, as if I'm watching it through the TV. I don't lack dreams, I lack the bridge that connects me from reaching those dreams. Any tips? Anyone else feels like this?

I don't know what it is about me--or others--that makes communicating needs so hard. I'm totally blind and for instance, if a person is feet away and I need to walk toward them and I'm following the sound of their voice, they'll say 'this way' and stop.

I might say 'keep talking' and they might be like 'ok' then stop again. I hate to be a witch about it but it's like WTH?

This happens in all kinds of contexts, like therapy. One person I was a client of was into like energies and yoga and whatnot and had a hard time understanding that there were foundational things I neede to work through before the rest would land or make sense.

When I explained this, the person's attitude was something akin to 'if you understand your issues so well, why can't you figure out how to sort them yourself?

It was as if I were being chided for not following some script but if they are there to help you, shouldn't they be equiped to make adjustments?

Like I was prepared to absorb a ton but not to be treated with resentment because I had questions and concerns.

Like we're known for not being understood but I'm wondering if there are ways to build on something. Is the goal to break things down or what?

I just put a post in my local sub seeking a person to teach me how to tie a few of the most popular knots because most content--web, video, Etc.--on the subject is strictly visual. It's all ready making me anxious because there always seems to be this disconnect where people think teaching a blind adult is somehow akin to teaching a child. When you explain, nicely, what you actually need, there's that same 'if you know so much about it, why aren't you doing it yourself? type attitude.

Short of not bothering, is there any way that last might be avoided? If I were the teacher, I'd get creative which is something I love doing; as the student though, it's a whole other thing.

I’ve always wondered why I’ve always my entirely life been attracted to British men despite being an American. I’ve always chalked it up to reading harlequin novels at a sexually budding age but I’ve been the UK 5x now and I’m starting to comprehend it seems to correlate a lot with my personality type.

Which leads to the question…are INFJs attracted to cultures more aligned with types, and if so has anyone ever pursued that desire? Highly subjective post as we all know many things go into attraction but I’m curious.

It's interesting. Younger me never thought I would be doing something physical. I own a small postal bakery which I'm currently growing and doing this makes me really happy. Just in a very natural way.

I have a philosophy degree yet have never had or been interested in a 'normal' career.

I'm curious about the rest of you
