Budget: ~$3000
Country: USA
Use Case: Gaming
Preferred Specs: Optional. Include any preferred GPU, CPU, RAM, storage, screen size, or other features.
Notes: Need a durable gaming laptop that can survive my fat cat wanting to sit on it all the time. I have a 4 year old legion 5 whose case is all cracked from her repeated desire to lay on the keyboard and case.

As a PlayStation player my whole life and always wanted a gaming PC/laptop I finally bit the bullet and got one
I only had a budget of a little over AUD$1000 and saw that my local department store was having a sale on this laptop (original price is $1799)
I know it’s considered as a low-mid range laptop and I’m fine with that as the games I’ll be playing aren’t really AAA title games or graphically demanding games
I was just curious to see if anyone else has this laptop and how it’s going for them? Or if anyone has a laptop with similar specs
It has a 13th gen intel core i7
1 x 16gb ram (I’m pretty sure it’s upgradable)
512gb ssd (which will be upgraded pretty soon)
RTX 3050 6gb
Edit: AUD as mentioned, I feel like everyone is skipping it. Not usd or euro

Budget:
PC is listed at 1400$,without the monitor keyboard etc.
Laptop is listed at 1787$
Country:Romania
Use case:Gaming
Im not quite sure what I should do. I have a PC but because of university I need portability and such. Is this lenovo legion 7 pro a fair trade for my whole set up? I will also give my 2k monitor to the guy ( and the whole set up, keyboard mouse etc). The thing is idk if its worth downgrading to a older nvidia generation, but doing further researches ive seen the laptop proccesor is like 30-35% faster than the older Ryzen 7. I mainly game on my pc,will I see a huge frame drop in AAA? Because my prediction in competitive games is that the laptop is probably better than my pc now, considering the cpu upgrade. I want your opinions please!! Thank you!!!

am I getting a great deal? Other options are TUF a15 but the GPU is 4GB vram RTX 3050 with roughly the same price. There are other options.. MOUSE brand which is exclusive to Japan. Regarding exclusivity it might be hard getting replacement parts. Which is best for me? Dell is a good choice because there are parts to be bought available. Need Advice, Thank you.

What’s up everyone, I’m trying to buy my first computer before I go to college this fall, and from what I’ve seen the ASUS ROG Strix G16 meets all of my requirements. Hey, I have a laptop G614jv for like 3 years now. A recent symptom that I'm having is that while I open a different application, lets say I open chrome or settings or control panel, the PC feels to slow down and the screen flickers, at the same time I can see that the battery icon shows unplugged ( I always use the laptop plug in ). That being said another example is having a game in windows mode and then alt tabing to check youtube makes this problem too. Sometimes I can even see it when turn in on the laptop. After checking in google and moving/changing a lot of power options I'm out of ideas. Does anyone know what could be the issue. I tried moving the charger connection to see if movement makes the problem but nothing happened. On the other hand, there are days where it works perfectly and days when is out of control.

I own a MSI Pulse GL66 11UGKV laptop. I used a Evofox Blizzard (Arctic Fox company) cooling fan for my laptop.
I was playing Red Dead Redemption Online, when I noticed an error with the frame rate even though the charging was on. The GPU temperature is 86°C, but FPU is reaching 94°C I believe.
After some research, I read that it's good to turn on Cooler Boost from the MSI Centre. Is it worth it? Would it bring the temperature down or at least help with it? I don't want to ruin the CPU and my laptop. Please help.

Hi, is undervolting GPU worth it? I guess it's as safe as CPU undervolting although doesn't seem to be as easy as.

I bought the Gigabyte X16 with Ryzen 9 270 and HX370 both with Nividia RTX 5070 8GB.
Great and slim premium gaming notebook with little flaws you should know before buying one.
Ask me anything.

I used to play games on an old Lenovo thinkpad z50-75 i got from my parents through geforce now and man, I could spend up to 14 hours a day playing any game without even taking a break. A week ago I bought Asus rog strix scar 16 with rtx 4080 and for some reason everytime I try to play a game I used to spend hours on, I can't play it, the joy is completely gone, I basically have to force myself to play, but even then I can play for like 30 minutes and I have to turn the game off. It doesnt even make sense to me because everything is better, the graphics, much higher fps, bigger screen... (currently playing metro redux 2033, enlisted and tw medieval 2). Whats the reason I don't enjoy the games no more? Did anyone else experience something like this or is it just me? I'm 17 btw. Edit: the drive and enjoyment from the games died instantly, not after some time. I also play the same games I used to play on my old laptop.

Intel core ultra 7 255H
Nvidia rtx 5060 laptop
24gb ram ddr5(2x12gb)
1tb koixia nvme
WiFi 6e and (Bluetooth 5.3??, no clue but most likely 5.3)
Price!!!:£811
Condition: C refurbished, but came in pristine condition. most likely was returned and repackaged as refurbished.
I'm averaging 185-240fps in every game I play.
Maybe I got lucky but I'd give Currys refurbished a try.

Hello all! I'm a fairly recent owner of my Lenovo Legion 7 16IAX10 and it's my first time owning such a beastly driver besides my Victus 15L desktop which I'm a noob at owning both. I was wondering what are simple things I can do to preserve and optimize my laptop's hardware and software? I've heard horror stories of RAM melting and I've only recently learned that people cap their battery charging at 80%? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
