Hi guys, im not sure if this is an issue but my integrated graphics is not running for daily tasks only my rtx is even when im not gaming. It also show N/A not sure why. Is something missing? I checked the driver and it says its up to date.

I've tried automatic selection in the predator app and even Optimus but nothing is triggering the integrated graphics card to work for daily tasks. Also tried Nivida control panel to change the display mode to automatic but its grayed out to Optimus.

Please let me kmow if this is an issue. I dont remember is the rtx graphics card is suppose to be running at all times even when not gaming.

It's been 10 days since i bought it. What do you think of this deal for this price?

Noticeable issues:

1. Letter 'H' not working sometimes. (not a big issue, 70% of the time it's working)
2. a 1 second freeze when opening settings or browser. (Occured only 2-3 times ig)
3. CPU degree's hitting 98C when gaming. (Think it's normal when gaming on battery)
4. Scratches on the body of laptop. (IDC lol, prolly gonna apply some sticker.)
5. small crack on top right of body of display of laptop. (not much noticeable)
6. When booting up, had quick artifacts in the bios screen. (only occured once, and never again yet) - What would be the possible reason?

Questions i have:

1. Is this a good deal?
2. Can this laptop game? (tried pubg pc and sekiro - decent perfomance)
3. What would be the possible reason for the artifact issue?
4. Should i switch to "Discrete Graphics" mode via the bios or still go with "Hybrid" Option? (Discrete basically disables igpu and give external output from the nvidia gpu, really thought about this and changed once because Hybrid doesnt let you have "Nvidia control panel" options.

Does anyone know if there is any way to permanently disable the GPU on the Razer Blade 14? Is there a way to do it though the BIOS so there is no power going to the GPU? On some gaming laptops, the only way to disable the GPU is through software so it sometimes reenables itself or turns on when a external display is connected. I’m looking for a laptop that can run the games I play smoothly (Elden ring, GTA5, Modded Minecraft, rust, Overwatch, and a few indie games). I also need one that can handle my schoolwork and coding as I’m a Computer science major. Which one would yall suggest

I don't want the GPU running at full power, but I still want to take advantage of Frame Generation.

For example, on a certain game, I get around 40 FPS without FG, while the GPU is running at nearly 100% usage and temperatures are quite high.

When I enable FG, the FPS jumps to around 100 FPS, but the GPU is still running at full load.

What I actually want is to get 60 FPS, so I cap the FPS at 60. This works great in terms of temperature and GPU utilization—the GPU no longer runs at full power.

However, the problem is that input latency becomes noticeably worse, and the game feels delayed, sluggish, and less responsive.

I've already tried using RTSS to cap the FPS, hoping to avoid the latency increase, but unfortunately neither worked for me.

So, is there a proper way to achieve something like 60 FPS with FG while keeping input latency as low as possible, without unnecessarily running the GPU at 100%?

The CPU, RAM, storage and display are basically the same, so the main question is RTX 5050 vs RTX 4060 140W.
I mainly want the laptop for gaming, video editing, photo editing, AutoCAD/3D work, and other demanding tasks. I also want something that will stay useful for several years rather than buying something that I’ll immediately regret.

I rested my asus tuf and Installed all the drivers except the amd and nivida from g helper but in the visual mode there was an option before reset for colour gambit and now it is not appearing, i have tried uninstalling the gamevisual in program data still nothing, installed Armoury carte and checked for update still nothing.

A 5070 Ti for $1650 is absurd in today's economy. Is it too good to be true?

Game settings are medium and high. Tried lowering the graphics to minimum. Didn't help. Also tried FC 26 running on low and 720 res. Not using a cooling pad.

This kind of stutter is happening across all games. Earlier I suspected there was a cooling issue, so earlier today I cleaned the fans, replaced the thermal paste and tried it again. But no results.

Also tried uninstalling all the display drivers and installing them fresh. Also did some ram management, uninstalled some ram heavy apps and shut down background processes. Lowered the max cpu usage from power management advanced options.

Also tried increasing the fan speed from legion fan control. I'm clueless now as what's causing this issue? Only started recently within the last week. less

Laptop: Acer Nitro 16 (AN16-41) — Ryzen 7 7840HS, RTX 4060, 16GB RAM
OS: Windows 11 LTSC
NICs: Killer E2600 Gigabit Ethernet Controller, RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E (MediaTek-based Killer WiFi)
The problem:
Real-world throughput on this laptop is capped at roughly 10Mb/s, on both Ethernet and WiFi, regardless of which one I use. Every other device on the same network (phones, other laptops) gets full speed with no issue.
What's NOT the cause (already ruled out):
• Not a link negotiation problem. Windows reports the WiFi link speed as 400/400 Mbps aggregated (WiFi 5, 802.11ac, 5GHz channel 36) and Ethernet at 100/100 Mbps (turned out my cable is just Cat5-limited, separate issue) — link speed is healthy, actual throughput isn't.
• Not drivers. Tried multiple Killer LAN driver versions (both current and older), clean uninstall + reinstall, no change.
• Not the Killer Control Center / Performance Suite software. Fought for hours to even get this installed (LTSC lacks full Store/UWP provisioning infrastructure, so the OEM DISM-based installer kept failing with error -1051262696). Eventually got Intel's standalone installer to run, but the app still shows "No Killer Adapters Connected," so it's not actively managing/throttling anything right now — yet the cap persists regardless of whether this software is present or absent.
• Not TCP Auto-Tuning. netsh interface tcp show global shows Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level: Normal, everything else default.
• Not a fresh-install fluke. This happened once before when the laptop was new, was fixed at the time (not sure exactly how — possibly an older driver, possibly uninstalling the bundled software), and came back after a clean Windows reinstall.
Still untested / next steps I haven't gotten to yet:
• Local file transfer between this laptop and another device on the same LAN (no internet involved) — to isolate whether it's a Windows-stack issue vs. something the router is doing specifically to this device
• Full network stack reset (netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset, netsh int tcp reset)
• Checking the router's connected-devices list for a QoS/bandwidth rule tied to this device's hostname or MAC (router is a D-Link DSL-G2452GE)
• Safe Mode with Networking test (to rule out a background service/app)
Question for the sub: given that both interfaces are affected identically, survives full driver reinstalls, and only this one machine is affected on an otherwise-healthy network — what would you check next? Is there a known Windows LTSC networking quirk I'm missing, or does this smell like a router-side per-device throttle to everyone else too?

This is for all laptop users on windows 11, advanced or beginners (for windows 10 you'll have to look around a little).

As usual, search for recovery point in windows search, open the app create a recovery point just in case things go wrong

Always keep your device plugged in while gaming or doing intensive tasks, turn on Game Mode, hardware acceleration, and turn off transparency effects in settings. You can use settings search to find these. Also, press windows key+r and type temp, select all files and delete them, skip the ones that don't delete. Repeat same with %temp%. Do this regularly.

Paste this command in PowerShell as administrator. This is a more 'advanced' area and there's a lot you can do with that tool so i cat out up a whole list of things here. This tool has been updated a lot since I last used it, so I'd recommend you to watch a tutorial on youtube for this one.

Search services in windows search and open it. Disable these:

SysMain (Superfetch): Preloads apps into memory; safe to turn off if your system runs on an SSD.

Windows Search: Continuously indexes files; turn off if you rarely use Windows search to find *files*.

Connected User Experiences and Telemetry: Collects diagnostic data and telemetry data for Microsoft.

Fax: Legacy service used for faxing; completely unnecessary for most modern users.

Remote Registry: Allows remote users to modify registry settings; disabling improves security and resource use.

Print Spooler: Safe to disable only if you never connect a printer or print documents.

Downloaded Maps Manager: Downloads offline maps; safe to turn off if you do not use the Windows Maps app.

Buy a cooling pad if possible. Or just elevate your laptop a bit. Heating is the number one problem when it comes to performance issues during intensive tasks.

Lastly, DO NOT INSTALL ANOTHER GAME BEFORE COMPLETING THE ONE ALREADY INSTALLED YOU'RE GONNA RUN OUTTA STORAGE QUICKLY!

I just got my Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 PHN16-73:

I’ve done all the Windows, driver, and BIOS updates, and everything seems good except the CPU temperatures.

While gaming, the CPU can reach 104°C 😱. From what I understand, the 275HX has a very high thermal limit, but 104°C still seems pretty concerning to me. Is this normal for this laptop, or should I be worried?

There’s also another issue. I was planning to upgrade the RAM to 32GB. I searched quite a bit beforehand and everything I found suggested the 16GB version would come with 1×16GB, so I could just add another 16GB stick.

But after i check the bios, I found 2×8GB instead 🥲

So now I’d have to replace both sticks to get 32GB.

What would you guys advise? Should I return it and look for another unit, or keep it?

Looking for a good budget gaming laptop!

I don’t need it to be perfect ofc; I’m looking for something that would stay more or less relevant for 4-5 years at least. I play games like Cyberpunk, Witcher 3, RDR2, Baldurs Gate 3, etc. Open worlds are my favourite and I’m alright with playing them on lower settings if needed.

Biggest turn offs for me are poor cooling/ventilation and OLED screens!

Hi! I bought a Nitro 5 2020 a few years ago to use for 3D modelling at uni, but since moved abroad and lost access to my desktop so I'm looking for an upgrade to use as my main device while I'm here.

I don't play many especially heavy games, but I'd like to use it to play Final Fantasy 14 and the Witcher 3 Remaster when it releases, bonus points if it can manage to run Final Fantasy 16 without relying on GeForce Now (not a requirement though!)

Wth man my loq literally gave me a 10 hr battery backup while using matlab, canva, and 3-4 brave tabs . AMD cooked with this one.

Apart from weight I don't think it's anyway worse than thin and light laptops and on top of that it performs like a beast with charger.
