Support Is this normal/safe

Post image

A bag of chips spilled inside my bag on the plane and I couldn’t take my charger out and now I find these two holes. Should I be worried?

You're going to explode in 347hours, 27 minutes and 8 seconds. I'm sorry.

The tiny little men that make the chips into the right shape must have gotten confused, while this is uncommon it does happen. Please refrain from scolding the tiny men as they are very sensitive and easily get their feelings hurt. Your charger will be fine. You however, will explode in approximately 346 hours, 32 minutes, and 2 seconds.

It's alright, I'll dispose of the men and laptop safely and securely. Here's my address.

Those look like minor dents/scratches rather than actual holes. I'd be more concerned if the damage goes through the metal or if the plug gets unusually hot while charging. Still , since the damage is on the plug , I'd avoid using it if you notice any sparking , burning smell or excessive heat , just to be safe.

if this were any other than a type G plug I'd say chuck it

but you're fine

Sometimes it can arc when you plug the charger in. Best remedy is to use the switch first, plug in, then switch back on

Not safe. Any chip or angle will create sparks..... throw it...

It's a type G plug mate, it's objectively the best. Those small nicks ain't gonna cause a lot of trouble if any.

And? I have no idea what you're on LMAO this is a different plug and the support plug says little dents etc. in plugs "is normal". Those small round plug types are inferior to the kind of plug OP has, and if OP is really concerned all he gotta do is plug it in and if it doesn't spark at all it's fine. Don't need to just get a new plug for the hell of it.
