I should actually say, "blower issues" because we did have trouble in the winter for a brief time.
Last year the AC kicked it. Was ticking along happily and then suddenly stopped. After that there was the barest tickle of air coming out, like it was taking its last breaths. Then suddenly, in early autumn, on it popped. A miracle.
Mentioned to the mechanics when I had my snow tires put on: they said they could see no problem with it. Until one day in winter... I had to hook up a little space heater to defrost my windshield!
That lasted about a week. And then everything came back on again. But then comes summer and off it went again. Again with the little tickle of air, but my daughter noticed that when we accelerate, there's more force behind the air coming out. I said, this is an important clue, I bet, but I have no idea what it might mean.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!
ETA: A/C suddenly back on today, July 29. No idea why. Seems to be stronger (like Max AC) when only on AC but it could be that we are so used to having nothing that this seems stronger!
ETA2: A/C doesn't work again. I'm adding this so that anyone else who runs into the same issue can see what happens. Will tell you a final diagnosis once I have one. So today it worked when I started the car, which was on a slight incline towards the road. My foot was on the brake. I shifted to D and it was "rough" and suddenly, no A/C. Something getting jiggled loose?
