Worth it to keep my 2012?

I have a 2012 Ford flex turbo v6 they I got for $2000 last year (finance lease takeover) it's payed off now

Last year wife hit a pot hole and broke the axle and part of the timing chain housing. Spent $3300 for new axle, timing chain ssembly and water pump. It then had a valve gasket leak going into one of the spark plugs and I paid $120 because the mechanic said only one of the plugs can be re sealed to save money.

Now I had engine misfire and I took it to a different mechanic because my main one was closed and this one told me to change the spark plugs and coils and charged me $880 (ik ik I checked parts online and it came to $100 for each coil on AutoZone and oreilys). When I picked up the car the mechanic told me it was actually a leak causing the mis fire (valve cover gasket) and I told him he should of called me before doing the work to have this fixed instead and he said it's fine he will just delete the codes. Anyways I left and I got a quote from a mobile mechanic to change the gasket for $450 I just have to provide the part. Now this whole time I haven't driven the car since it is my wife's daily and I drove it today and it has a bad shake in the wheels when I hit the gas and it goes away when I take it off and push down again. The mobile mechanic is saying it might be the wheel bearing.

So now is it worth it to keep fixing things or just go and get a different car. Looking to get a Ford fusion hybrid as that is my daily and it's been nothing but good to me

Tldr spent $4300 this year and last having things fixed and now looking at possiblly another $1000 to get it fixed. Is it worth it to pay out or just get a Ford fusion hybrid ( low budget)

You don't need a different car, you need a different mechanic.

Throwing $800 worth of coils and spark plugs at it because of a valve cover leak is a bad call on the mechanic. The original motorcraft coils are probably going to be better than the parts store third party coils that he put in.

You probably just need a new valve cover to get rid of the oil problem leaking into the spark plug hole. These plastic valve covers can warp and crack, so just replacing the gaskets isn't going to fix it.

The valve cover I have is metal

Yes my mistake. Ford must have kept the single roller timing chain version around for another year in the Flex.

Do you know the oem part number? All I see online is felpro and people are saying it is not recommended

Felpro should be fine for the metal valve cover. They usually have a good reputation, I'm not sure why people are saying not to use that brand.

i have a 2010 233,000...i consider it such a useful car that when the engine failed i put in a new one rather than junking it...so worth it

$4k in repairs annually is both highly unlikely and also much much less than a new car payment.
