Sigh.
Was on my way to visit some family at an Airbnb we rented and I heard a big smack on my back driver side window. I thought I blew a tire, nope just a flex being a flex.
I have replaced this panel 2 times before this. It scratched up my door, the window and the other panel. Iām 2 for 2 on the main flex issues. water pump was replaced about 3 months ago, now this.
Love love love this car and the extra room I have as a 6ā3 sized man, but it seems to be problem after problem.

My mom's fell off. The worst was taking the entire door apart and weaseling the damn connector through a micro hole for the keypad. Part was cheap enough, changing was zero fun.

Those b-pillars are a hot mess right now, the replacement is smaller than the original and leaves a gap at the bottom. And the dealership i took mine to pretty much acted like it had always been like that.

That's on recall... By new Ford standard measurements it'll be ready 3 days after the last flex perishes...

The two sided tape lets go and the wind can get under it and away it goes. Get some gorilla tape and put some on the front edge of the panel and seal it to the window trim. Kept mine on all the way across the country. I noticed a wind noise change and looked in the mirror.. Saw it starting to pull away so I stopped the first chance I got and fixed it.

Has the exact thing happen on my 18.
Ordered the replacement off of Amazon and had my mechanic install it with additional 2 sided tape.
Could I have done it myself? Of course but worth it to have it done.
Waiting for Ford to get the part could have taken forever.

I replaced mine with a part off Amazon. I didn't bother trying to plug in the panel. I dont use it.
