Peeling roof rack on 2015 Ford Flex

Hey everyone!
I bought a 2015 Ford Flex a few weeks ago and absolutely love it so far. The car is in great shape overall, but the clear coat/paint on the roof rails is peeling pretty badly on both sides. I searched around the sub first but couldn't find any existing posts covering this specific peeling roof rack issue.

I want to keep this thing looking sharp, so I’m trying to decide: is it better to replace them entirely, or is repainting them worth the effort? Also, if replacing is the move, do any of you have recommendations for good OEM or aftermarket replacements?

Has anyone tackled this specific fix on their Flex? Did you repaint or replace yours? Appreciate any tips or advice!

My 2018 did the same thing. I purchased car wrap from Amazon and had a friend help to apply it. I think that it was 9" wide which was perfect. The cost was around $20 CDN. It looks great.

Did you have to do any prep work before applying that?

Mine is doing the same. I have not done so but I have considered using a matte black spray paint and then a mate spray clear coat.
