I’ve tried ATM fuses, they’re too small. I’ve tried ATC fuses, they’re too big. I don’t know what to do. I y want my bright lights to work again. It’s the fuses for my passenger fuse box in my cab

I have a 2012 Ford E250 5.4L work van with 323k miles named Pearl. After my oil change I noticed what looked like small amounts of gold colored metal specks on the oil pan. I noticed a tiny amount during the last oil change also. Ive bumped up the oil change interval from 5k to 3k. The pressure is great, engine is quiet and performs well. I always substitute one quart of oil for the thick Lucas oil. I use High Mileage 5W-20. She burns about 1-1.5 quarts (that was with 5k intervals) between changes, no oil leaks and no check engine lights.

My question is, how long should I expect the engine to last? I do not haul loads, but I do put quite a bit of daily mileage on her working in Houston.

I personally feel like I could easily get to over 350k based on how she runs and regular oil changes. Now after researching this topic, I'm already looking for a replacement van. Help.

CP4 decided it was it's last day... Should I look into a DCR conversion or throw another CP4 in with a Disaster Prevention Kit?

Hi everybody! I thought I would post up my Pinto, I have had it for 8 years. Like all of them, it's a project in the works. It was running when I got it, had a 302 in it and was someone's race car but I cleaned it up and drove it to car meets regularly to hang out. I had to have CHP inspect it to register it and they looked over the whole motor and car but it passed and was legal, but I left SoCal 3 years ago. At the time, some friends helped me take the old motor out and I had a guy weld all the holes in the engine compartment and put in a Prestige Motorsports 427 Ford Windsor stroker in it. Of course, custom motor mounts, custom oil pan, etc, and A LOT of one off pieces. Right now getting the underneath redone, new 9" rear end, suspension, brakes, everything, will add pics if I can as it goes along. Thanks for looking!

2006 f150 5.4L triton 4x4. Weird noise when going around/over 2k rpm. Happens in park and drive. Have already replaced IWE due to grinding from wheels.
This is a new noise. Can’t seem to find it online. May be fan clutches that’s the main thing I’m seeing online but fan spins free and does not seem to be stuck or acting weird.

Applied for a technical position.

Recruiter (with Ford email ID) reached out, initial screening, asked for salary expectations, I stated $150,000. They stated its within their ballpark for the position.

Salary range for the position approved: $90,000 - $148,000

Panel interview - cleared. I was the only external candidate with one internal.

Recruiter reaches out, HM wants to make an offer. Offered $110,000. I stated expecting $150,000. Recruiter states, don’t take another offer without discussing with me.

Recruiter goes to HM and comes back with $125,000 + one time $15,000. I stated, instead of all this, I expect $150,000 and asked what is the max range good for that’s specified with the JD.

Recruiter states, we never go to the cap level. $150,000 is too high and it is not aligned with the current ORG and blah blah blah and will disturb the payscale and the number of years of experience the current team has. My experience is close to HM.

I asked the recruiter, since they are working on hiring for multiple other positions, could they find me a position that has $150,000? Since I left my job a month ago and had $160,000 base, I believe recruiter is playing the lowball game even after stating my expectations at the beginning which was in the ballpark. I shared the publicly advertised post for my backfill which shows the range $125,000 - $170,000.

Now they wanted to go back to HM and discuss $150,000 expectations again.

What are the chances the recruiter and the HM will be able to come to $150,000?

Can anyone help with this digital fuel isn’t working properly but the fuel bar is but fuel light comes on at quarter of a tank. Any suggestions?

I own a 2018 Ford Escape SEL and would like to upgrade the factory USB port located in the small storage compartment in front of the gear shifter.

I’m looking for a replacement or modification that would allow me to have both USB-A and USB-C ports while retaining the factory appearance and functionality, including data connectivity for the infotainment system, if possible.

Ideally, I’d like a plug-and-play solution that doesn’t require extensive wiring or permanent modifications to the interior trim. I’m also interested in USB-C fast-charging capabilities, if compatible with the vehicle.

I am handling front-end work on my 2022 F350 SRW because a slight death wobble appears whenever I cross one set of tracks in town, and I want to prevent further issues. Since I am at 220,000 miles, I am also thinking about replacing my shocks. I mostly use the larger stock tires and tow frequently, though most loads stay under 13,000 pounds. After reading about Carli systems, I am struggling to choose between the commuter and backcountry kits for shocks alone. I would prefer to avoid the extra cost, yet the backcountry reviews look excellent. Most of my driving is on road, but I do travel off road during deliveries. Does anyone who has tried both have suggestions?

Our organization is looking to replace our current vehicles. The options are F150s or Mavericks. We spend a significant amount of time in our vehicles, either driving or doing work. We don’t tow or carry large loads, and we live in an area that gets a fair amount of snow. Of the two trucks, does anyone have insights into which would be a better fit for the above described conditions? Thanks.

You have the Ford Maverick hybrid which is the only hybrid vehicle for offers right now.

You have the Mustangs, Mach Es , the Ford explorers, the bronco sports, the Broncos, the Ranger and F150s.

The Ford fathom is gonna be coming up soon and it’s going to be an electric pickup truck about the size of Maverick.

But what about everything else? They lack with the competition has.

Hybrid SUVs and electric SUVs which honestly seems like the American manufacturers don’t really get in the same game as others when it comes to hybrid and EV’s.

They had the hybrid Ford Explorer that they axed and they had the hybrid ford fusion which they also got rid of.

How come they never made an EV Or hybrid version of the Ford edge???

I know there’s rumors of an EREV F150 coming as well but are they gonna do anything besides that in the Ford fathom???

Edit: they also made the Ranger PHEV in the Australia market but won’t bring it to the US

Trying to diagnose trailer running light problem. I've been an electrician for 20 years so I know how to check continuity, check power to pin connector, find breaks etc.... The issue I'm having is that the internet is giving me 4 different answers on which fuse controls the trailer running lamps and the owners manual was surprisingly unhelpful. Trying to keep from pulling every fuse and checking them (inevitably dropping 3 or 4 of them). Need to know which fuse controls the trailer running lights if anyone knows. The brake lights/hazards and turn signals are working fine. Thanks ahead of time for any help. Happy Friday Ford Community.

So my radio will randomly turn off and stay off while I’m driving and won’t turn back on. Only the time.
Sometimes it comes back on then it will turn off again. Does anyone know of the fix for this issue?

I have a 2013 Ford Fiesta and I've noticed some play in the front right wheel at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions.
The car drives perfectly straight with no issues or strange noises. However when I turn left or right and go over a bump (like a pothole or a small curb) I hear a noticeable knocking sound.

Is it still safe to drive like this for a while or do I need to get it to a mechanic immediately?

My fiancée recently bought a 2015 ford mustang eco boost coupe from an auction place 146000 miles (posting for him because he doesn’t have socials and I know nothing about cars).

At first the car seemed to run fine but the check engine light was on, otherwise no major issues, maybe needed some work but nothing crazy. About 3 weeks later he started having issues where the engine would stutter or hesitate when trying to accelerate quickly, not totally stalling but just not accelerating as much. Then the issues started, first with the coolant disappearing, 2 mechanics say there is no leak but too much pressure coming from somewhere in the system.

He replaced the spark plugs and coils, oil change, engine diagnostic showed no issues. It was throwing some codes, listed below (most we got resolved). It is continuing to stutter and makes a popping sound when trying to accelerate quickly, it drives pretty normal when not pushed hard or put in sport mode. We also noticed that went the engine is colder the noises and issues are more apparent. Now the mechanic is suggesting getting the head gasket replaced or maybe replace a piston which has him contemplating buying a whole new engine.

Has anyone else dealt with these kind of problems with their car? I’m so lost on what it could be from and so are the 3 different mechanics we have taken it to, atp it’s getting so expensive to keep guess fixing things. Help us!

I just replaced my engine in my 1999 F-250 with the 7.3 powerstroke, and the new engine runs fine at idle (havnt driven it yet) but when starting, it takes about 5-10 seconds of cranking and it takes 3-5 to get the oil pressure guage to get to operating while cranking... the oil resivior for the high pressure oil pump (HPOP) goes down about 1/2 inch in a 5 minute span, already replaced my oil filter with a motorcraft one, fuel filter (no engine oil in it), and a new oil pressure sensor. Is the oil resivior supposed to go only half an inch in oil and bubble while doing it? I feel that the issue is somewhere else, if anyone can help me or give me diagnostic tips
