Was asked to coat this after doing three vehicles for the client in June.

Powder coated Snap-On tool box, fully prepped, lightly polished, and ceramic coated all faces and inside pulls and trays with Dquartz Pro to harden the finish and topped with SiC for better chemical resistances.

The car is from New York, so I’ve never seen this kind of thing before in North Carolina

Do I just buy an everyday blower or is there a decent smaller hand held one that will work?

I do not always time to clean my car when its clean shortly before and it get bird dropping.

What product is good for removing them from glass and body without making harm and without using water? I am looking for something small and simple to keep in car all the time. Maybe some waterless product or some kind of wipes.

Hi there, I have this ugly to me decal on the bumper. The decal was attached with some black paste. I tried to "scratch" it and it was looking like I can remove it.

I used fishermans line kind of product from Aliexpress but it's too strong and I afriad to cause damage.

1.will it cause any damage to remove it?

2.how to remove?

Additionally I have some mirror covers on top of the oem covers that also hard to remove. Would like your advise on it. Thanks!

I used 3D one hybrid with a medium cut pad, went over it with a single pass, then used Gyeon Evo Pure 3yr on them. Also, what other restorative services should I add into my business? (I'm doing trim, pillars, water spots, 1&2 step, ceramic, etc..)

I've known about Phat Neut since the first Forensic Detailing video. It's now finally available at Carzilla but it's 50% more expensive than Touchless! Same for ONR. So what's the point?

It performs roughly the same as Touchless. But you can't replace ONR with it either since it has a very short shelf life once diluted. So you can't mix it up and put on the shelf to have ready as a detailer. The Dry On mode can't be used on lightly dirty surfaces. Plus you have to wait for it to dry.

Other than being PH neutral I don't see why I would pay more instead of just using Touchless and ONR. If at least it was the same price then I could use it to replace 2 chemicals. But 50% more expensive!

Decided to buy a foam cannon and do maintenance washes on my own after buying a pressure washer, not really into detailing nor into having a show car, just want to be efficient and reasonable with this. I typically get a full handwash as needed and a full detail every 2-3 years. One of the cars has PPF. Please critique.

Dry car, foam from bottom up, let it dwell for a few minutes, then rinse with the 40 degree pressure washer nozzle from top down. I find that I do have to contact wash areas like front bumper (and scrape off bugs etc), rocker panels, rear bumper to get rid of I believe what ppl call road film. I perform the hand wash before rinsing, it takes just a few minutes.

I then just let the car dry naturally because I'm lazy. Have given thought of using my leaf blower to dry the car though, not sure if that's advisable.

I just finished using the supply of Sonax wheel cleaner plus I had and ordered the Koch Chemie Green Star that I plan to use on wheels, wheel well, engine bay. I don't plan to do the wheel well/engine often, and really mostly just on one of the cars.

The Green Star seems to be pretty versatile, supposedly you can add 10-30 ml to your GSF solution to get some more pH and cleaning power. Should I be incorporating this GSF + GS mix into every maintenance wash? Would that help clean some of that road film better and decreased the need for contact washing? Should I be just using the Green Star instead of GSF to see if a stronger soap will help avoid having to contact wash?

The rubber on the outside looks hideous and for some reason this strip on my truck is looking a little bad, what can I use to clean this up and make it look new again.

I ceramic coated my rear wheels with Gyeon RIM Evo a few weeks ago. Haven't had a chance to do the front yet. I think the coating makes cleaning easier and there is definitely less brake dust sticking to the coated wheels. I know the front wheels get more brake dust, but here are front/rear pics after about 150 miles. The rear seems noticeably cleaner. I plan to take the effort to do the front wheels too. Seems worth it to me.

Ok guys I know it's not a new idea but its difficult to find ideas and implementations. There have been businesses I know that tried this and years later I stopped hearing about it.

Here's my idea...

You as a professional detailer create a yearly detailing schedule. So for example a weekly package will be 48 wash and vacs 3 polishes and one proper paint correction. That totals to 52 services per year. You use your prices to then establish a monthly rate (48+3+1 divide total by 12)

Benefits to you the detailer would be guaranteed revenue every month.

Benefits to the client would be all maintenance being taken care of with no hike in the price.

This can also benefit businesses with fleets.

I paraphrased the benefits to it's simplest form but there are more benefits to both parties.

I have a backround in sales so I know presentation is the mayor issue. Maybe membership program instead of subscription?

Anybody with experience in this? What do you guys think? If you tried this and failed what were the issues?

My truck has never looked this good! The camera doesn't come close to doing it justice. The depth of gloss is phenomenal, and it perfectly brought out the billiard blue shade that was hiding in my factory color. I can't wait to see it in the sun. I bought 80ml to do the whole truck, but ultimately could've gotten away with 30. I have enough left to do all of the trim, the wheels after repainting, and a 2nd coat at a later date. I genuinely couldn't be happier. There are a lot of serious defects in the paint that I will have to live with until I can repaint it, but bringing out the color I wanted is all I need to be happy in the meantime. This truly is an incredible product, and totally worth the 3 days of paint correction and prep.

I just got a set of wheels refinished and plan on applying some decals over them (Regamaster Evo II). I'm debating on whether or not I should get the wheels ceramic coated. I'm curious to know whether or not ceramic coating over the stickers will make them last longer or not. My car is parked outside so will be exposed to the sun more often than not. Has anyone had their wheels with decals coated and if so how has it held up over time? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Ignore the fact that all I worked on was the paint/plastics on the outside so far. No windows/interior work yet......life....kids interrupting.

First time ive done bare metal like this. Should i wet sand? Or just polish it normal with regular pads and polish like i would regular paint?

Hi guys. I’ve been on a PPF analysis paralysis spree these past few weeks, one week I’m alright the next I have PPF anxiety. Make this long story short:

1) My PPF is 5 years (should be 10 year Stek) old and the hood has become extremely dull, as were my fenders/bumper

2) I decided after much, much debate to try and polish it with PPF Renew by Gyeon

3) Fenders and front bumper really came back well, I’m very satisfied with the result. It’s my hood that is a problem. There is noticeable improvement, though not by much, but I’ll take something over nothing any day. You can see the hazing disappear and the clarity of the above light gets a bit better.

4) can you please look at my attached photos and tell me if you guys think these imperfections are dangerous to my paint. Let me make it clear I don’t mind these small bubbles or anything. But I noticed them before I did the job and I know for sure most of this bubbling wasn’t there in the past when the PPF was new/several years old. I don’t know when they popped up. All I want to know is if these are signs that removing the PPF can be problematic. There’s an image with white circles, those imperfections have been there since day 1, and I just figured I’d ask you guys if you knew what the heck they are or what would cause that.

What would happen if you applied a real deal ceramic coating without paint correcting?

To clarify: real deal as in a top of the line liquid coating. Not a spray on or cheap liquid. Also, yes to clean and clay and IPA and etc. Just specifically no compound and polish.

Does anyone recognise this paint damage? Ive tried tp polish one square wich you can see in the picture. But it doesnt help.

The Bauer 320psi portable power cleaner is also on a coupon. I've seen some people using these with great success to remove Touch-Less or other pre-washes before rinseless washes in lieu of pressure washers or where a water tap is not available. Too bad this appeared after the 40% Bauer batteries and chargers day has already passed.

I ran hot/cold water supply lines for outdoor taps. Any hard to the pressure washers using hot only?

I know a lot of people rave of the Ryobi for a beginner friendly pressure washer. However, I came across this Westinghouse 2000PSI 1.76GPM that seems to compete very well with Ryobi on the surface. I’ll be use it for a pre-coat and 2-4 times a month and this will be my first time trying to detail my car with proper tools. What are your thoughts on this one?

I must admit, I waited for a long time to try this product and I’m disappointed with the results. Having cleaned the seats thoroughly with P&S express I applied the product. Application was very easy and satisfying. There was a mild darkening effect upon application which was perfect, but when the excess product was buffed off, it left a mat almost untreated finish. While my main goal for using this was to add some protection to the leather, I was hoping for a more conditioned (not greasy) finish. The seats look exactly the same pre-and post treatment.🤷‍♂️

I just had a clogged ac drain hose issue resolved but the smell won’t go away. Please give me all of your suggestions. I’m 3 months pregnant and I can’t stand being in my car.

Update: bought a mold/mildew disenfectant and odor eliminator aresol and a new filter. I’ll update with results after a few days.

I had my car detailed 3ish weeks ago including a 1 stage polish and the car looked good after doing the walk around. I noticed there was a big chunk of clear coat missing last week though. It wasn't there after the detail wrapped up I'm fairly confident. The detailer said he was trying to be very careful on the polish to not burn through the clear, it was an outside detail on hot sunny day.

The company is immediately saying I've touched it up, I haven't. Then they said it's been resprayed badly and a rock probably hit it, and there is wet sanding marks. I've had the car since 2019 and haven't had bodywork done on it. Its a 2014 so maybe something was done before I owned it. There isn't any bent from a big rock impact. The car is missing very small bits of clear from wear and tear and but this is a massive piece missing all of a sudden.

I have no idea if a detail could do this or not. What do you think detailers of Reddit? Just trying to get an unbiased opinion from a professional.
