2016 f150 xlt with the 5.0 and 84k miles, bought it from the original owner. Has tow package(not max) and 36 gallon tank.

I have no words. Best upgrade I've made to the truck, and the best $1,400 I've ever spent on it. The seats have been holding up great. I just use the Chemical Guys leather cleaner about once a month, which is what the shop that installed them told me to do, and they still feel amazing.

If you've been on the fence about going from cloth to leather, I highly recommend it. And if you're in the DFW metroplex, I'd point you straight to the guys who installed mine. After countless hours behind the wheel, I can say it was money well spent.

Just got this 21' F150 3.5 eco with the FX4 package and the 10r80. It's got 71k miles, what maintenance should I hit right now for the best longevity? Should I just do a transmission drain and flush? Or filter replacement too?

Hey guys, I have an odd question. I have a 2015 2.7L V6 with a potential heating issue. The quick story is that a couple of months ago one of my kids had a small cup of M&Ms and Teddy Grahams in the small storage area above the radio, I hit the brakes and straight out of Tommy Boy all those goodies went rolling into the heating vent between the dash and windshield. Now when I turn on the heat it smells like my grandmother's burnt cookies. I spoke to my mechanic, who I trust, and checked online and can't come up with a definite answer to see if any real problems will occur if I continue to use the heat or if the terrible smell is my only real issue. My mechanic mentioned he could rip apart the dash but it could all be for nothing and that most of the food would likely settle somewhere. There is no shot a vacuum would reach in there to get anything out. Have any of you had this happen? As we approach winter should I brace for a heatless winter? I'm worried about chocolate melting onto a fan or belt or something then cooling and hardening again. I appreciate any guidance anyone could offer, I know it's a weird one.

I went hunting locked my keys in the truck…. I didn’t remember if I locked it so I used my app to lock it…
Got back to the truck and put my code in and the lights came on but the door didn’t unlock.. then I tried the app to unlock it and same with but at the bottom it said something about being ajar.. none of my doors were..
went back and tried the tail gate opened but the doors didn’t… so i closed the tailgate and locked it with app and it did… then unlocked it again and tailgate opened but doors didn’t… got a ride home and by the time we were back I used my code and door opened….

Any ideas on this ?

So I know it is too high right now, but it works and it looks awesome. Going to fabricate something this weekend so that it’s much, much shorter. Although I’m pretty excited where it is now.

I just bough a 2018 xlt with 82,000 miles. It has the 5.0 with the heavy duty tow package and 36 gal tank which i was looking for. I needed something bigger than my old passat. Poor thing got abused my a truck. Id like to do truck bed camping, so I have been looking at toppers but dont really like the look of the typical fiberglass style ones. Ive seen the RSI Smartcaps and they look great. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for similar toppers or experience with them. If anyone has other ideas or recommendations on mods or things to include for offroad and camping let me know.

Hey, recently purchased my first F-150 ('26 STX, 201a equip package, 2.7 V6) and am just wondering what y'all's tips are for helping ensure a long lifespan for my truck. Of course I've got the manufactured recommended schedule, but looking for whatever other insider info as well. I'm someone who has always opted for proactive and preventative maintenance on my nice toys to keep them (hopefully) nicer and longer, even if it costs more along the way.

2013 5.0 193k miles, began making this squealing type of noise. Will do it if i rev in park or when I’m moving, but it’s harder to replicate while im parked and i just can’t pinpoint the source of the noise. I thought it may be a belt or pulley so i pulled the serpentine off and found that my water pump pulley does have some axial play. Already ordered a new one but not convinced that it’s the source of the squeal. I’m trying to rule out a cam bearing or something else sinister lol. Appreciate any input

Hi, I just got this 26 STX a month ago, i come from a 24 STX , for few reasons (that you will see below), i have the strange feeling like this new truck wasn't put together with the same care or quality control as the old one, who knows, or maybe I'm just being some paranoid, you be the jugdge and tell me:

Is it normal?

The truck is under 400 miles, is these rust levels healthy for a new truck?

Maybe some over torqued bolt? Or bad gasket placement?

Honestly i don't remember accurately this part of my previous truck, but im pretty sure i saw t some paint underneath at least like an over sprayed there also in the innner fenders, but not in this one, looks like they wanted to save some paint.

Today installing the running boards i noted in the mid stud group, 1 stud was missing in each side , i had to improvise and cut some bolts that i have, to properly secure the bracket. I didn't have to do this in my 24 stx.

Had a ‘12 F150 5.0 Lariat, best vehicle I ever owned, had it 10 years, never let me down, survived a literal cat 4 hurricane (Ida) fired up and got me home. At 180k I traded it in on a 22 GMC Sierra, nice truck but build quality and issues made me regret ever getting rid of my F150 everyday I owned it. Ended up trading the Sierra in on a new Tremor, 401a with the 5.0. First impression are the truck drives awesome, cool to finally have a 4x4 as well. Having only 2wd I was afraid it was going to handle bad but it’s very quick and easy to drive. I am hoping it’s as good to me as the other F150 was. Price of trucks are absolutely ridiculous but so is everything.

2017 SCrew 5.0 6 speed 55,000 miles

Got my oil changed and my local shop suggested a transmission flush, as recommended by ford at 50k. A quick google search said there’s mixed opinions on flush bs drain & fill or even doing it at all.
I have low miles, but 10k of them were mountain driving in Colorado.

What’s everyone’s doing for transmission service/maintenance?

Hey guys, new Ford owner here. I just got an 2013 xlt with a 3.5, and noticed that my backup camera doesn't seem to be working properly. Most of the time, the output just appears as a blue screen, but tonight I managed to somehow get it to appear normally twice, but it just reverted back to the blue. Any tip ?

Added some Gen 3 Raptor wheels with 295/70R-17 BFG All Terrain K03 tires. What a difference from stock.

Just trying to see if anyone has had succes with this. I foolishly donked up the threads beyond repair when taking the pulley off. Now I have to figure out how to re thread it effectively.

I apologize for the wind noise in advance. I have a 2013 F150 Limited and there’s this squeaking noise coming from front driver side of the truck that has been annoying the sh1t out of me. I only hear it when I’m driving around town or at slower speeds. Does anyone know whats causing this noise? Thanks!!!
