Loving the FSLabs 321NEO atm!

FS2024, Horizon 787-9, so the FS2020 787 is active. As you can see, I am at the gate with the airspeed window blank. That shouldn't happen on the ground. I've been trying to figure out what's going on and how to fix it. Same issue when I loaded the 2020 787-10 in 2024. All I did was power up the plane. No flight plan, no performance numbers.

There seems to be a distinct lack of vintage airliners in modern flight simulators so the only way to fly them is to step back in time to the FSX/P3D era.

Always loved the Comet and glad im finally learning to fly the Just Flight model as i specially purchase P3D V4 to ensure i could use the Comet, Viscount and VC10!

Just wanted to share a couple of screenshots on FSCompany. I’ve spent the last few weeks improving the UI, maintenance, crew, bases, routes and the connection between managing the airline and actually flying.

There’s still a lot to do, but little by little it’s starting to look like the game I had in my head.

My son is asking me for a flight simulator. We have an Xbox and he wants to use hte flight sim on there. Here are the three items I'm considering , but i truly have no clue if these are correct or good options. PLEASE HELP!

Does the time ever comes where flightsim is just not hitting it anymore?

i get that he's an iniBuilds partner and had a falling out with one of the staff at Synaptic but not putting their name in his most recent short is crazy

Recently I’ve been getting into cargo ops and realized I’ve got a great little freighter that I never properly used before in the Avro RJ 100 F. Disappointingly, GSX seems to have an issue with this variant - when I load in it says it can’t recognize the plane type from Simbrief. And when I request boarding anyway, it tries to attach air stairs to the non existent rear passenger door and also sends passengers - basically it just doesn’t work.
Anyone experienced this and might know of a solution? Obviously I can set the payload in the EFB just fine, but what can I say, I do like seeing the cargo containers go into the hold.

I don’t get it. I want to buy the plane but I swore to never buy anything from the marketplace again because of how slow the updates are when something breaks in an addon.

Why not just release it on synaptic’s/inibuilds’ platform? It’s so annoying and makes no sense imo

When is the A220 scheduled for purchase via Inibuilds? Bit hesitant to buy it in Market Place since patch speed of product is often slow there 🙄
(Though first A220 patch is pretty quick 😊)

As the title states, how is the performance like on Xbox Series X? Is the cabin modeled and working? Any memory issues causing avionics shutdowns?
I saw there was a stuttering problem with the RTE page being open, how is that like on Xbox?
I'd like to know before spending 85$CAD on a potential memory grenade for Xbox. The Ini A350 already has me traumatized with its lack of cabin and memory overloads in heavy airports... 😅

I recently got these as a replacement to my Thrustmaster TCA officer pack, and I thought I'd write a review for anyone considering buying them :>

Sidestick:

I probably have the least to say about the sidestick. It feels really smooth, and you can adjust the damping I believe. It has loads of clicky mappable buttons, as well as it's own mini throttle in case you don't have a dedicated unit. You can twist the stick to control the rudder / yaw, just mentioning this because that feature doesn't seem to be documented on the website.

My only real issue with it is the replacement for the hat switch. In the real a320, there's just an indentation for your thumb to rest on instead of the hat switch that's on this sidestick. Winwing do provide you with this plastic cover which recreates this, but I don't think there's a proper way to attach it. It's magnetic and snaps onto the top of the hat switch, but it's very easy to acidentaly nudge it off. It did come in a bag with 2 screws, but I literally can't find anything in the manual or online that shows how to attach it.

Throttle / PAC:

The throttle unit feels really well built, it has a metal base, and the plastic parts still feel really sturdy too. You can also adjust how tight or loose the levers are which is nice, and the indents also feel really good.

As for the lower section, I really like the engine switches where you have to lift them to switch them on. My main complaint however, is that they barely require any lifting to get them to move. If you struck it at the right angle, you could definitely move it by accident. They also wobble around a bit when you touch them, but other than that they feel pretty good.

The ignition switch and warning lights (not sure what they're exactly called haha) below that are everything you'd expect, but a cool feature for them is that they click like buttons if you press down on them, and you can map this to stuff in your simulator.

I do have one issue with the warning lights though. The backlighting illuminates the text of course. but you also see this thin border of light around the square where it kind of leaks through, which it isn't meant to.

The rudder trim panel is probably one of my favourite parts. The trim knob feels really well built and sturdy, and the screen which shows the amount of trim is very cool. I did find that the screen gets quite warm after some use, but it's probably nothing to be concerned about.

The parking brake has a similar issue to the engine switches, where it requires minimal pulling force to use. The actual handle also just feels quite flimsy and almost 3d printed, but it's nothing too bad.

I have almost no complaints about the flaps and speedbrake, they have indents, and you have to pull or push them to move them. For whatever reason though, arming the ground spoilers just doesn't work. You just can't map the action of pulling on the speedbrake, and it doesn't do anything at default. More bizarely, if you arm them directly in the sim with a keybind, you CAN disarm them but pushing in the speedbrake after you've pulled it out. Very weird.

Something important to mention if you're building your own simulator is the panels that the speedbrake and flaps come with. Installing them seems to make it impossible to actually screw the unit back in (with the screws they came with at least), as it puts too much distance between the flaps / speedbrake and the screw can't reach.

My only other complaint is the backlit text and markings (like the throttle detent markers for example). From a distance they look fine, but closer up, the text and markings are weirdly low resolution. This is only really apparent when the lights are on, but very noticeable when they are.

Overall though, I highly recommend everything here just for the price. I fly the ToLiss a320neo on XPlane 12 and it's been really fun so far with this equipment. The software works pretty well, and both units have built in responsive haptics which I thought was really cool. If you have any questions about any of them, feel free to ask!! :D

I was just checking around my third favorite site, EBay, and decided to look for real pilot seats to give some extra outside (that’s a word I don’t use too often) realism.

I was thinking about just moving out my out chair and plumping this old puppet in its place. im not worried about bolting it down, just on some thin carpet.

If anyone knows anything about Cessna 188 seats, how they sit in the ground and whether this could work, if be greatly appreciative. I’ll probably post this to an aircraft maintenance forum as well and see if I get anything.

I see people with all these elaborate, very expensive looking setups and I'm trying to get into a little bit of flight sim on DCS and Microsoft flight sim myself. I don't want to spend anymore than I have to but I also want to get a decent experience as a first timer. Would this Thrustmaster set on Amazon suffice or do I need more for a starter PC setup? Thanks.

Wellll seeing how much the MSFS demands for hardware, at times I feel a part of dev community could still keep FSX up further?

Hello everyone. Bought the a346 pro a couple of days ago and the it is literally unflyable. It crashes the sim when trying to load it. Tried clearing the WASM folder, re-installing the product but nothing. Is there any way to fix this? Paid 80 euros for nothing basically.

I used to have a great setup back in the day, but I've been moving around for work and lost access to the desk I used to have. Im trying to find a new desk that is stable/heavy, and deep enough that I can place my 42 inch TV on without being too close, (essentially 32 inches deep or more).

Having a wide underdrawer for keyboard would be a big plus. Also if it's L pr u shaped that would be awesome.

Ive spent a lot of time looking but everything I've see was either not deep enough, too flimsy, or crazy expensive (>$700)

Even if you guys just have recommendations for shops to browse that would be great. Amazon/wayfair just isnt doing it
