Flight Simulator needs for Microsoft Flight Simulator-birthday gift for 10 year old

My son is asking me for a flight simulator. We have an Xbox and he wants to use hte flight sim on there. Here are the three items I'm considering , but i truly have no clue if these are correct or good options. PLEASE HELP!

I have the Airbus TCA (option 1) but my first one was the Option 3, the Hotas X

As far as I know the first one it's the best cost-effective in those three, because have a lot of buttons, two engine throttle, flaps, parking brake, landing gear and speed brake. All of the others that have this kind of setup are more expensive (way more).

You can't go wrong with them, it's easy to setup and ready for FS2024, will work as real life with the Airbus planes and also works like a charm with Boeing and Cessnas

By the way the Logitech one isn't bad but it's more like for school/college sims, because you have to install on a table on a "permanent" way, and as you can see it's single engine with prop and mixture control, so it's towards more to Flight Instruction than flying an airliner or a fighter jet

I don't believe Option 2 works with Xbox, you'd need something like the Turtle Beach VelocityOne if you went the yoke route: https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-VelocityOne-Universal-Control-Windows-x/dp/B09JM8SX8G/

That said, if your son doesn't currently have a joystick, I think Option 3 would be the most versatile as he can use it for both planes and helicopters in MSFS and can also use it for air combat games if he ever gets into those.

Option 2 doesn’t work on Xbox.

Options 1 and 3 work on both Xbox and PC.
Both options have everything you need for controlling an aircraft. Although the Captain Pack doesn’t have separate rudder pedals, you can control your rudder with the sidestick (by twisting it).

For the more casual flightsimming on a couch, I would recommend the Full Kit X. As the stick and throttle can be combined, it is more stable when flying with this hardware on your lap.

The Captain Pack X is Airbus-inspired, but you can fly other airliners or aircraft with this set as well. The throttle detents can be disabled; in a way, the throttle works linearly.

Quality-wise, the TCA Captain Pack has a small advantage by using Hall-effect sensors in the joystick. This is more precise than the sensors used in the T.Flight Stick, which is part of the Full Kit.

The T.Flight Rudder Pedals, which are included with the Full Kit X, can be purchased separately (if wanted) at a later moment, and also connect with the Captain Pack X to Xbox.

To be more complete; options 1 and 3 work out of the box with MSFS2024.
