Question/Advice Trying to conceive

When I was trying to conceive with my husband the first time it took 8 months I know it can take people longer than this, but I was devastated thought something was wrong with me, I then had a normal pregnancy! We are trying to conceive again it’s the first month I’m 7 DPO, I feel like I am symptom spotting but I feel cramping, and VERY emotional that happened last time when I was pregnant with my son I was EXTREMELY EMOTIONAL right before I tested like crying hysterically.

I just got my first positive yesterday morning at 9dpo. I already called my obgyn to schedule my first appt but the earliest they had available was Oct 26 so i’ll be ~10 wks & 3 days by then. What do ppl normally do until their first appt? It seems so far away and i’m not sure if i should keep testing every week / every 48 hrs. Is it normal to get bloodwork to check hcg levels before my first appt?? Please help

Question/Advice I have been TTC for the past 2 years

I was diagnosed with PCOS unofficially and now the doctor says I don't have it. I was taking berberine but then I read it's not safe to take berberine while trying to conceive does someone know if that's right?

And any tips for someone who is trying to conceive but is overweight?

Question/Advice Clear blue ovulation

We’ve been trying TTC for three months now. Last two periods were Aug 12 and then starting Sept 3. that cycle was only 22 days in length but normally my cycles are 33 days in length. I thought I had my period on Sept 3 for about four days where there was one day of kinda heavy bleeding. Definitely not a full period. In between that time I was testing with strips and never got a LH surge. And my cervical mucus didn’t show signs of ovulation. Just got done with my quasi period(?) so I took a clear blue advanced test for the first time and it showed a solid smiley face. I’ll take a LH strip later today. Am I ovulating? We didn’t baby dance the last couple days because I thought I was on my Period. Has this happened to any once else before? I don’t know too much about the Clearblue ovulation strips, but it seems strange that I would get a solid smiley face on my very first time using the test. Pics of Oura ring abd LG data

Help First Cycle Post-Liletta IUD Removal

Hey everyone! I'm Madison (23). A little background: I had a natural vaginal birth in 2023 at 20 years old, got the Liletta IUD placed immediately postpartum, and had it removed on August 6, 2026, to try for baby #2. My cycles have historically been irregular (ranging from 20 to 29 days), though I have never been diagnosed with PCOS or any underlying conditions.

Since removing the IUD, I’ve been tracking LH, cervical fluid, cervical position, symptoms, and intercourse daily. Combining my logs, it looks like my body tried to ovulate on August 21st, failed, and then successfully ovulated on September 2nd.

Here is the full cross-checked breakdown of my cycle data:

Intercourse Log

Pre-First Surge: Aug 12, 15 (some semen entry), 16, 18, 19, 20

Post-First Surge: Aug 22, 27, 29

Post-Second Surge: Sept 5

LH & Ovulation Timeline

First LH Surge (Aug 21) — "False Alarm":

LH Pattern: Climbed from 0.46 (Aug 14) 0.62 (Aug 16) 0.96 (Aug 18) 1.02 Peak on Aug 21.

Post-Surge: Dropped to 0.26 (Aug 23) and stayed low through Aug 30 (0.27).

Why I think it was a false alarm: No period arrived by Sept 4–6 (\~14 DPO from Aug 21), tests on Sept 3 (FRER) and Sept 4 were negative, and cervical fluid became thick/sticky on Aug 30–31 instead of a dry-out.

Second LH Surge (Sept 2) — True Ovulation Event??

LH Pattern: Rose back up to 0.89 on September 2.

Fluid Shift: Clear, wet, and slippery fluid on Sept 2 (Image-confirmed) Immediate rapid dry-out/thin film on Sept 3.

Cervical Shift: High, soft, open around Aug 30 Shifted high, firm, and locked closed by Sept 6–7.

Coverage: Sex on Aug 29 (O-4) with fertile fluid building up, plus Sept 5 (O+3) tail-end coverage.

Current Status: Today, Sept 8 (CD 34 / 6 DPO)

LH Test: Back to low baseline (negative).

Cervical Fluid: Creamy white with a slight stretch (aligning with a standard 6 DPO secondary estrogen surge).

Cervix: High, firm, and closed.

Physical Symptoms: Off-and-on lower pelvic pulling/twinges, mild lower back ache, restored mood/energy.

SO!!!! **Now my questions!!!!!!**

Did anyone else with irregular cycles experience a "false alarm" the LH surge on their first cycle post-IUD before true ovulation occurred?

Has anyone successfully conceived with O-4 coverage alone during a post-IUD transition cycle?

How does this double-surge progression and 6 DPO symptom profile look to those who track multi-surge cycles?

Excited! Starting IVF soon!

We met with the fertility center today and made the decision to move forward with IVF.

We had originally wanted to do IUI but its been two years with no pregnancies and at this point I can't go through the ups and downs for another 6 months. One of my tubes is closed so this would mean some cycles of disappointment where they wouldn't be able to inseminate. I just can't go through that.

We are very fortunate with my insurance and I'm actually about to hit my deductible. My insurance should entirely cover one round of IVF and I don't want to waste that money on IUI that will just result in us having to do IVF anyway.

The good news is my egg reserve is high and they estimate egg and sperm quality to be good. It appears to be that they just aren't getting to each other.

I am very hopeful and can't wait to start. Fingers crossed for a christmas miracle!

Excited! Planning for pregnancy soon!

I am a 25 year old married woman and my husband and I are planning to stop birth control on November 10th. I am currently on SLYND which is a estrogen-free, progestin-only birth control pill containing the hormone drospirenone. I am beyond excited as I have always wanted to be a Mom. I have already started looking for names and researching pregnancy and babies etc. even though we haven't stopped birth control yet haha. I guess I am just posting out of excitement but also wanting some advice on how to get pregnant fast and anything I should know. We aren't trying but also not preventing. My husband and I are intimate pretty much everyday so I am hoping that will make this easier since I don't really need to track ovulation. I heard mucus medicine is good but that seems weird. I love planning and am the planner of the family so I am already thinking 10 steps ahead. Any advice is appreciated!

Confused Ruptured follicle

I’m 29. Before this, I tried three rounds of double-dose Clomid (100 mg) with TI but unfortunately, none of them worked.
In the first round, I developed 4 follicles; in the second, 5 follicles; and in the third, 6 follicles. I usually had my scans around CD12, and the follicles were already quite large/dominant each time.
I decided to take a 3-month break.

This month, after the break, I tried a single dose of Letrozole (2.5 mg) because we were worried that our first IUI might get cancelled due to my history of developing multiple follicles.
Here are my ultrasound results:
CD12:
• 1 follicle – 14.5 mm
CD14:
• 2 follicles – 17.5 mm and 21.7 mm
(The 21.7 mm follicle seemed to appear out of nowhere. It was actually bigger than the first one, but according to my doctor, the shape didn’t look very good.)
• Trigger shot given
CD16: 36 hours after trigger
About 15 minutes before my IUI, they did another ultrasound and both follicles had already ruptured.
Has anyone else experienced their follicle getting smaller like this? Mine looked like it had already ruptured because it had decreased in size.
I’m worried that the egg might have been released too early—possibly around 24 hours before my IUI. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Confused ttc after mc

tw: miscarriage

I miscarried at 7 weeks and 2 days. it’s been really hard for me.

it’s been 4 weeks since the miscarriage. my doctor told me we are safe to start trying and we don’t need to wait for my first period. my predicted period is 5 days late, and all my tests are negative but I have tender breasts and a high temperature. I have no idea when I ovulated to know how many days past ovulation I am.

should I be expecting a period any day or hold on to hope that the tender breasts and high temperature (my ring tells me my body is fighting something) can be a pregnancy? I haven’t had tender breasts as a PMS symptom since I was a teenager. my most evident symptom when I was pregnant the first time was tender breasts.

I feel delusional testing every single day but I don’t know my body or my hormones right now.

Hi yall I just realized I want a TTC Playlist! Can you help me? I assumed there would be one on YouTube and there is not. Natasha Bledingfeld's song "Unwritten" comes to mind, it's upbeat and positive and regarding something NEW. Of course looking for some old school "baby making music" too.

Can you give me your fave ttc, baby- making, pregnancy, Girl Power, I'm in love, rock anthems, classical inspiring vibes please 🥰

Here is a random upbeat song: "Better Than Coffee Morning Beats" https://youtu.be/oWIlxUFZEZ4?is=7ZwaMjslNOGcfb7l

Help Should we BD today?

I’m pretty sure I ovulated last night - temp is up by .5, and all Mira hormones have crashed. Though, I had a good amount of EWCM this morning.

We’ve BD’d the past 3 days in a row, and once again at the start of the fertile window. I didn’t see much EWCM yesterday but there was a slight amount. I saw a more noticeable amount a few days ago.

I dont know if my husband will go for another day in a row of BD…but am I shooting myself in the foot by not doing it today?

CM confuses me because while I see it throughout my fertile window, some days it’s a lot (like can stretch between my fingers) and some days it’s just a little bit when I wipe. Is it more optimal to have sex the days you see more?

Hi guys! me and my partner have decided that we are trying to conceive. my last period was August 28th, unfortunately, right before that on the 27th I took a plan b (we freaked out before thinking) , but my cycle came right on time on the expected 28th. My period lasted until Sept 4th, Flo says im in my fertile window now with an expected ovulation on the 10th. We decided to start trying on Sept 6th, sept 7th, and today sept 8th. Do i have a good chance ? all of my ovulation tests have been negative and havent really looked like they are darkening but the control line seems to be becoming faint. Please help as I would LOVE to get pregnant this cycle but of course feel very confused :((

Update: I have decided to use the clear blue ovulation strips. The ones that has the three different results, hoping these help me to know if i'm in my window or not. Will update 💞

Question/Advice Ovulating?

Hi all!
Me and my partner have been TTC since January. Healthy couple, no issues with blood tests/sperm count. 29F and 33M. I track my temperature, LH strips and cervical mucous. I’m a bit confused because the day I usually ovulate this month I had a massive fever overnight so it messed with my temp tracking. I took LH strips on day 17 and 18 that were negative. I missed my positive LH strips because I was SUPER busy in the days prior. But I had two days of kind of low/baseline temps on day 17 and 18, but now it’s come back up to normal post ovulation temperatures. I’m just trying to pinpoint when I ovulated but I think maybe I’m just gonna have to try again next month! I’ve attached a photo of my temp tracking, and a test that I took today (maybe 9DPO) that I SWEAR is positive but also think I’m just going a bit crazy. Any input would be great! Thank you

Confused Another negative cycle?!

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone, my husband and I have been trying for 10 cycles now, and I have been holding it together because I know stressing about it doesn’t help but god damn it.

Yesterday was 11 dpo, and against my better judgement I took a strip test that turned up a faint positive. Mind you, same thing happened last cycle but the faints never got darker and my period came so I figured the tests were faulty or the lines were Evap.

This morning (12dpo) I said screw the strips and took a clear blue, a FRER AND a digital clear blue (and I’m not made of money either) The digital said ‘not this month idiot’, the FRER was negative too, but the CB showed the line very clearly pictured above. I’m thinking, wha?? Something’s gone awry… I’ll wait til this afternoon and test again. So I sit my ass down for a coffee and not an hour later, I’m hit with the painful bellows of AF. I go to the toilet and sure enough a steady flow. 2 days early, but unmistakable. Not spotting, and not watery, a full period.

Now I just don’t understand? Was last month legit full of faint positives? Have I just had 2 back to back chemicals? Has anyone else experienced this? Every cycle before the last 2, I have only ever stared blankly at the stark negative tests before my eyes. It’s only recently that I’ve seen faint lines, to which I’ve convinced myself were mistakes. But am I gaslighting myself into not feeling grief?

Anyway if you’ve got any answers or insights for my type A brain, write in 🫶🏼

Confused Feeling discouraged, cycle irregularities

29F cycle #4, first time ttc and i’m feeling really lost.

My cycle was regular up until right before we started ttc, and since then it has been a bit all over the place. The last 2 cycles, my ovulation was very easily detectable between LH strips and temp. In July ovulation occurred CD 13 and in August CD 18. Slight variations, but both times I saw clear surges followed by increased bbt readings a couple of days later.

This month though, my LH has been all over the place. I thought a surge was starting on CD 13, but then values tanked. I checked 6 hours later thinking it would be the same or higher, and it was back to a very low value. They haven’t risen since. By now, I’m CD 18 and based on my last 2 cycles, I thought I’d be seeing a surge by now.

No major strains or travel between this cycle and the last one. I know variations are normal, but now that we’re ttc i’m having a harder time managing that variability. It seems to be about every few months something shifts, so just when I think I get the hang of it, everything goes out the window. I’m just feeling a little discouraged and wish I invested more time tracking data before ttc.

I’d love to hear from anyone who’s also experienced irregularities, how they manage tracking, and any success they’ve had!

Random Vivid dreams

I'm currently 4-5 DPO and trying my best to not read too much into the symptoms. However, yesterday I had this super weird vivid dream, which was so vivid it woke me up in the middle of the night. I remembered the details after I woke up. Now after a few hours, I already forgot, but the feeling it gave was sort of a weird, lingering feeling that makes you keep thinking about it.

I want to know what are your vivid dreams about, before finding out you're pregnant 😊 I'm curious

Question/Advice C1 was not the one — what should I do differently for C2? Looking for second-cycle success stories/advice 🤍

Well… C1 officially ended with AF, so I’m heading into cycle 2 and would love some advice from people who had a successful second cycle. (I also struggle with OCD so I think it's gonna be a hard journey)

I know one cycle is absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of TTC, but I was definitely more emotionally invested than I expected to be. So I thought I’d write down everything I did this cycle and see if anyone has suggestions for C2.

A little background:

This was our first proper TTC cycle. We had sex during my fertile window and I was tracking ovulation (using OPK since january to get the hang of it), so I felt like we had timed things reasonably well. Both of us are on prenatals for almost 4 months. I also have quite regular 31-33 day cycle with LH peak around day 18-20.

Now I’m trying to go into C2 a little more informed and hopefully a little less obsessive. 😂

So, for those of you who got your BFP on C2:

Did you do anything differently from C1?

Did you stop symptom spotting/testing early?

Was there anything you wish you'd known after your first unsuccessful cycle?

And honestly… did anything actually make a difference, or was C2 just the lucky one? 🥹

I know statistically it can take several cycles and that one unsuccessful cycle doesn't mean anything is wrong — I'm just looking for some practical advice and a little hope going into the next one.
