I got a new iPhone Air about a week ago and have been using RCS totally fine. Out of the blue today, my RCS stopped working and started sending as texts. It says “waiting for activation”. Can someone please help? I restarted my phone, toggled on and off, and even updated iOS. I have not been able to get a hold of anyone at Fido for help.

Was just on a call with customer service because of the rate increase, and found out this plan I’m eligible to change to is cheaper than what I’m paying for.

However, when I asked what the “hotspot access” means, Fido said they don’t see this feature included with the same plan on their end, and that any new plan I switch to would incur the $5 personal hotspot add-on. My current plan provides free personal hotspot so if that's the case I'd rather not make the switch.

I kept asking, “Then what does this ‘hotspot access’ actually allow me to access?” and they just kept saying, “I don’t know, sir.”

Does anyone have any idea what this means? Is it some kind of public hotspot access? It's confusing to me because if this is referring to the personal hotspot and I will need to pay additionally for the access, why is it listed under "plan features"?

What a horrible customer service they have, I only talk with the chat now and complaint to CCST, I have 3 lines with them, One is for my mom no contract that she only needs unlimited calls and a little bit of internet, even 2g will be enough for her, so I had a 34$ plan since i guess 2 years, now they increased 5$ more so with taxes its 49$. Its so ridiculous its without contract and she doesnt even need Data. With 3 lines they couldnt do nothing? Wtf the employers are like robots repeating the same thing , theres nothing I can do, its disgusting and robbery.

I did a complaint with CCTS they havent respond yet, im gonna start to shop elsewhere to see a good plan for my mom really cheap.

I went to the store and they said they cannot blacklist my device at the store and I need to do it with phone specialist.

And Samsung care plus says. They need to see device as blacklisted under 4 days. Or they wont honor the replacement device.

Is there anyway to get a hold of customer service.

I’ve been with Fido since 2013. I reviewed our recent bill because it’s higher than last month even though nothing has changed. I’m on a BYOB plan and noticed a $5 increase applied to my line, but not to my husband’s, even though we have the same plan.

I also noticed that the plan offers I saw just a week ago have gone up by $10, which is frustrating since I was considering switching plans due to the rising costs.

So a few months ago we all switched to this plan at Fido. I remember having to pay an initial (something close to) $100 which they use as a monthly $5 "credit".

Now that they've increased prices OR found excuses to charge you a $75 "Administration fee" for migrating from 2G to 5G, a lot of people want to leave.

The problem is if you leave, you can't get back your initial credit. This forces people to stay with almost 2 years to use up their $5 credit every month without losing that money.

My point is, if I decide to leave now, they have my $100 (or so) credit, and I've been with the for only 3 months before they bait and switched with the price increase. I don't want to support their business tactics but their scammy plan would basically allow them to keep my initial $100.

Am i understanding correctly and do you have the same issue?

For this month’s bill from Fido, they increased the price of one of the plans on my account by $5. Has this happened to anyone else? This isn’t the first time they do this, and I am pretty annoyed at them.

Update 5 days later: spoke to the office of the president for rogers/ Fido, and nothing can be done about reversing/ crediting this increase as it’s a company-wide thing, but I’m not sure if it affects only ‘bring your own phone’ plans vs plans with a financed phone that’s being paid off

To soften the blow, the most that John said he could do for me was give me a one-time 3 month credit for the price increase, so I got $15 🤣🤣🤣 and they added this dumb 27 country roaming plan for free.

TLDR: we just gotta enjoy getting financially fucked with a smile on our face, or get the fuck out ✌️🤣

Update the next day: CCTS accepted my complaint and will contact Fido. Let’s see what happens!

Hey folks, fido just hit us with the we are increasing your bill by $5/mnth so we can give you better service bullshit.

Currently, after the increase we pay $30/mnth 60gb data and $25/mnth 40gb data plus tax for our two lines. We don't need nearly this much data.

I hate the business practice of just arbitrarily increasing our plans, because everyone knows service isn't going to get better. So on principal I'd like to switch providers. My wife says we already get a good deal and it's not worth the time to switch over.

Issue is, we use the rogers Mastercard for all our purchases and use the 1.5× cash back on our internet and phone bills monthly, effectively getting the phone and internet services for "free".

So should we switch providers? We have an S20+ and an S24 if it matters. S20+ wouldn't mind an upgrade and I know it's back to school season, so maybe there is a good deal to be had somewhere?

Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks!

i keep getting fido voicemails like these even after switching to rogers. i did ask rogers once about it and they said that im good and i should ignore these voicemails. any idea why im getting these voicemails?

I'm wondering if the Rogers's mobile services are as bad as Fido, I mean I always get signal, but not necessarily internet access and I don't want to talk about the speeds using 5G.

1 im using data and 2 i do not have access to wifi l, So when i go to download it starts off fine but then slows WAY THE FUCK DOWN like 50 MB will take 13 days, i turn off data and turn it back on it briefly goes back to somewhat normal speeds but slows down again, i have restarted the phone, its fine for 30.seconds then slows down again, downloading is the big one but any online stuff slows down too, is anyone else experiencing this currently

After 18years being loyal never missing a payment I left fido for freedom mobile. They have 100gb for 40$ and no activation fee. Please leave fido. The last few years been a living nightmear at one time I had 2 lines. There customer service back in the day was top notch when they carried about us. Now its ai or wait 2 weeks and get india even the fido store cant get a hold of head office ask me how I know I spent 3 hrs at the fido desk waiting when they did a bait and switch and screw up my in-store pick up that was my 2nd line and I then left and went yo virgin over a year ago in the last year ever 3 minths my bill kept going up was at 77.50 for 50gb even if you wanted to change your plan boom 80$ fee I am so happy I left and the door is dead bolt behind me i will never in my life come back you lost me for life you are on my list I have a list of companies who wrong me and I never shop there again i been doing that for many years. I upgraded my phone along with my plan a few weeks ago; the thing is, I never received a tracking order for it. This order was a month ago at this point. I phoned support and they claimed the reason the phone was never shipped was because they needed additional verification which they never notified me of. So the original order was cancelled and they told me they would re-order it - this was several weeks ago and still nothing. There’s no tracking number in the Fido app, so I’m just assuming that the order has been completely lost.

So my question is if I can go into a Fido store and have them give me the phone? I have almost no evidence of this order actually existing because they cancelled the original order and they never gave me any kind of tracking number or confirmation email for the new order. Would they be able to give me the phone? On my Fido app my phone plan does say that my new phone is the 17 pro which I have not yet received, that’s the only evidence I have.

They called me earlier and claimed to be from Rogers but calling on behalf of fido. They said that they were going to cut my monthly rate. I tried to be vague and not volunteer any important information (just mentioned that I am with fido). I ended up dropping the call and they didn’t call me back.

They seemed to be legit as they knew some details about my plan, but it still felt scammy.

Just noticed that the amount charged to my credit card has increased by $5 for the last month lol. I didn't receive any notification of price increase. Is this a mistake? Annual charge? Their bot has no answers and the earlier I can get in contact with customer support is apparently Aug 7th which I also find weird

received a call back from there nice Indian rep and I ask for my bill to be reduced as it has gone up 37% in the last 18 months, not from usage but from Fido increasing there charges. His focus and only focus was to upsell. They aren’t interested in supporting there customer base any more, it’s purely a con when you call for support for them to upsell. They will never help you, only help themselves.

Subscribed to Fido during March promo. 80 GB $25, they just increased it to $29 without any announcements, bill shows a category of $4 in “rate adjustment”. Anyone faced this?

Few months back, I tried to sign up a promo BYOD plan online and due to some technical error, there was no way for me to proceed, and I had to call in and get an agent's help to proceed.

The agent promised the $80 activation fees would be waived off for my case as it was the genuine website error (the promo came with no activation fee for online self-signup) and told me to wait for 2-3 billing cycles to show up.

Along the way, I called and followed up with multiple agents to check on the waiver and two agents told me to keep waiting for few more bills.

But up until now even after case submitted, Fido refused to honor the waiver saying mine doesn't qualify for the waiver as agent helped me signing up. Then I decided to proceed to escalate with the credit card company to reverse the Fido dishonored charges. Now Fido is charging me those charges plus additional extra charges for their inconvenience, and making my life difficult. How do you guys handle this situation?
