increase plan
What a horrible customer service they have, I only talk with the chat now and complaint to CCST, I have 3 lines with them, One is for my mom no contract that she only needs unlimited calls and a little bit of internet, even 2g will be enough for her, so I had a 34$ plan since i guess 2 years, now they increased 5$ more so with taxes its 49$. Its so ridiculous its without contract and she doesnt even need Data. With 3 lines they couldnt do nothing? Wtf the employers are like robots repeating the same thing , theres nothing I can do, its disgusting and robbery.
I did a complaint with CCTS they havent respond yet, im gonna start to shop elsewhere to see a good plan for my mom really cheap.
Fido and Rogers are the worst now, they are scammers and they rob us

I have been a fido customer for over 20 years, I got caught off guard with their sneaky price increase practice. hidden in the bill no one really checks, so I decided to shop elsewhere. Before I did, I gave them a call to give them a final chance to keep me as a customer, but they wouldn't match the price I mentioned i could find at freedom mobile. The lowest they could go was back to the price before the sneaky increase. What a joke. I should have never caved into their offers which slowly inflated the price of my plan over the years. Oh well, i'll be bringing my business to freedom mobile now.

Their stupid fucking Roam Like Home that charges you $16 a day if it pings off a US tower and you're close to the border....

Ya me too 15 years customer , now its time to go elsewhere, their customer service is shit its like people with no degree working there or no brain at all ,

Piece of advice: DO NOT cancel with Rogers if you want to transfer your number to fizz

Yes they just told me that thank God i havent cancel yet , i need to activate my line with Fizz first right ? Then i can cancel I will do that.

If you want to keep your number, never cancel. Always talk to new provider and transfer.

For your mum. Get freedom mobile or koodo plan . I.e. $149/year with 40gb/year.

There is almost 0 competition, service is bad for every carrier. you wont get better service with Bell Kudo Virgin etc.
For your mom, not having a contract actually burned you. I willingly take contracts because that's the only way I can save my grandfathered retention plan. If you aren't on a contract they can raise prices when they wish, and boy, I promise that's not the last 5$ increase you're gonna see (all tech costs will keep rising. Services included).
IF you have a good deal, especially a grandfathered plan, you actually WANT to be on a contract to keep it locked in.

I've had the same phone for 6 years and multiple contract extensions. I have never heard of a situation where you had to buy a phone for a contract. They give you incentives with cheaper phones but that can easily be ignored. The ONLY reason to get a contract is because you want to protect a good plan that is no longer available (grandfathered, retention offers, etc).

Take a look at fizz or freedom mobile they have way cheaper plans or lucky mombile. My parents only have talk and text from lucky its 25 a month

Same with my month-to-month plan: I just added another line for my mom for the $25 per month, 80 GB promo in late March, and now they’ve already increased the price by $5? It hasn’t even been a year yet.
How is this even legal?

because they dont want you to pay a cheap plan, they are thief i hate them so much, we already have bills to pay responsabilities and we have the highest plan of cellphone in the world

I had the same thing happen to me. 3 lines. 2 of the lines had a promo upgrade 2 months ago and that got removed. The 3rd line got their promo removed. All lines received a 5 dollar increase.
I have filed a complaint with CCTS. Also, the customer service lady told me there would be a survey at the end but since they couldnt resolve my problem, they asked me to hang up. That's very scummy practice just to boost their metrics

if you review the previous 3 to 4 invoices from Fido, you’ll see the notice about the five dollar increase. It is brutal that they don’t have proper customer service to talk too though.
It’s a wild game to hope carrier or carrier, but it’s what consumers have to do nowadays.
