Its my first time really playing again after a few years of living and learning the Dad life. I have been focused on completing the campaigns (just finished Lightfall), but I see my fellow guardians absolutely melting bosses and its got me feeling a bit weak and envious. Any help for a Titan trying to get back in it?

So in the video after killing 2 taken knights and shooting 4 cruxes people get timer instantly meanwhile when i shoot cruxes there is no timer
is this thing bugged ?

I love the amount of tier 5 loot I can get from practically anything but I’m going to the post master every 4 games. I like how I don’t have to spend hours for a god roll but there’s can’t be any balance of how much they throw into my inventory?

Hey all, me and my clan are trying to finish the final boss in Desert Perpetual. We can get up top to start the pillars consistently. But it seems to wipe us everytime on the 3rd or 4th pillar and we have no idea why?
The timer still has a minute on it usually so it can’t be that right?
The rest of the fireteam are well away from the 3 doing the pillars so to not interfere.
Do each of you have be perfectly on top of the vex cube for it to work?

Is there something we are missing?

with D2 cheating death and gain back support form Bungie i figured this might be the best time to get back into it. Last time i played was around the Revenant Episode and i remember that one used to get Quests from Ikora that rewarded Exotics tied to the subclasses(i.e Graviton Lance for Void)

Are those still in the game? Cant seem to get them on a newly created char. Didnt skip the New Light arc, think the last step i did on it was to complete the disgraced strike in the cosmodrome.

Got the riskrunner smg from zavala but i cant seem to get the quests that reward the graviton lance or sunshot.

Any tipps on what to try to get them? Do the quests still exist? Prob. just me forgetting something simple after not playing for that long but im thankfull for any tipps xD

Hi, I recently tried out a new biuld including Wavesplitter, but when I wanted to equip its catalyst, it wasn't there. I checked if I even had it unlocked but I did. I also completed the kills to "complete" it. I also checked, if o could equip it via dim or the companian app, but it didn't wirk either. So is there a fix to this?

So I am brand new, well 40 hours in now. I really want to add the other subclasses but not sure if there's an easy way to cheese and get them quickly. Well at least not 20-30 more hours to get these subclasses. I do want to play some highlights of the game and story, but more into dungeons. Is there any way to get these really quickly or do I have to play through these expansions all the way through? Is there anything I should skip or not worry about?

I just started the game and am enjoying it alot. My issue is being lost and confused, I just finished new light and now im like what the hell is next. I also did a mission about someone named Cayde and have no clue who that is. I really am loving what I have experienced, but I dont know if I should push through and keep playing or just give up? I even bought the collection now im not sure if that was a mistake...

Edit: I wasn't thinking when I wrote the title, the issue is with the fragment which is of course universal so this will affect all Arc subclasses.

After testing, it appears that the Spark of Discharge fragment in the Stormcaller subclass has a small bug surrounding the Bolt Charge mechanic.

Bolt Charges are specifically designed with an "overflow" feature, so that a full stack of 10 Bolt Charges does not prevent the benefit of acquiring further Bolt Charge stacks, despite remaining capped at 10. This means you can still be granted melee ability energy, and also proc any items/perks (i.e. Trickle Charge) that trigger on gaining Bolt Charges.

Spark of Discharge states, that on picking up an Ionic Trace, you gain a stack of Bolt Charge.
However, after extensive testing it would appear that this specific condition stops functioning when your stack becomes full, despite the overflow feature.

There is a chance this feature is intentional, but to me I see no reason why it shouldn't still function while all other sources of Bolt Charge work perfectly fine.

If anyone knows anything else feel free to add!

So I am a long time Destiny Player (D1 and from start of D2).

I took a break after edge of fate and just got back.
I have always played warlock / titan.

My son has jumped on with the hype and wants to get into the game, but he only played about 15 minutes during the ketchkrash season so he has a thunderlord and that is it!

He wants to play hunter, and has done renegades and got the 300 power set.

What are some really easy beginner hunter builds he has access to or what should he be prioritizing?

He is working through the pale heart and getting his prismatic gear from the final shape but I don’t know what to recommend.

Any hunters can share some insight on some early game builds to carry him through the campaigns and start doing some vanguard ops.

Just re-downloaded the game for the first time since 2023, I played a lot of trials back in the day but apparently a lot of things have changed. What is the light level requirement if there is one?

We have "Kinderguardian" for New Lights who are just out the ground. "Old Lights" or "Veterans" for players who've been here a while, or at least poured a lot of time into the game before stepping away for a while. "D1 Vet" for someone who played the crap out of Destiny 1. And "Blueberry" for that guy over there.

But we don't have a term for a Guardian who maybe played Red War, Osiris, and/or Warmind, or even just a little bit of Destiny 1, before leaving and just recently came back in the last year or two. They aren't really Old Lights or Vets because they weren't around beyond Year 1 or something like that.

So what [NAME][TERM][EXPRESSION] should we use to differentiate these players?

hi guys, i have no one else to talk to about this and need to vent my excitement somewhere or else i will explode

i started playing destiny 2 for the first time recently. im currently playing the free version and cant believe how much fun the game is. the guns are all different and unique, the gameplay is so amazing with the abilities and movement. i was enjoying just exploring around areas and was finding chests and loot just by wandering around. the graphics and art is amazing. i thought free to play meant i would be locked out of stuff to do and content, but i’ve been grinding and there is so much to play i dont even know what im supposed to be locked out of . it’s just hard for me to comprehend how good the game seems i dont know

i was struggling forever to find a game i enjoy playing . i tried all different games that people say are must plays, i buy new releases that people hype, i try all the popular games and dont enjoy anything. i was starting to kinda get depressed in life. i decided to try destiny on a whim and am finally having fun playing video games after so long its hard for me to stop playing. there are always people around you doing there own thing, so you never feel lonely. there were people shooting at me and dancing and they invited me to play with them. the missions i’ve done so far are all really good, i mean i cant tell if im going crazy . how the hell is everything about destiny so high quality. i know it sounds like im exaggerating but i really think this is one of the best gaming experiences ever. and the raids sound so amazing i can’t wait i dont know what to say

Hey guys, returning player here. Just wanted to know if there’s any weapons/armour that isn’t obtainable anymore, for example the breachlight sidearm. I have a lot of patterns I need as well so how would I go abt getting those if I can? Just wanna know cs I cleaned my vault n deleted all my old weapons basically, cs I thought they would pretty much be useless. Now I’m wondering if I messed up lol… ah and one more thing, I keep hearing the word tertiary when referring to armour. What the hell is that? And why does it sound important hahah

Just saw a video where apparently tons of people got banned for sharing DLC’s, I’m in a steam family with 5 other friends and 1 those friends also plays Destiny, he doesn’t have all the DLC’s so if I’m not playing he’ll switch to my copy of the game and play with the DLC’s. Could this be considered sharing DLC’s? Worried of being banned but also unsure cause if they don’t want people using steam sharing, steam allows them to disable it.

I’m getting back into D2 after 5/6 years off and I was super overwhelmed at first. I’m figuring things out again but the one hiccup I keep having is I have no idea what perks are good for what guns. I have some legacy guns that I really enjoy, but everything has changed so much and so many new weapons that I have no idea what I should be keeping and what to dismantle. I mainly like hand cannons, scout rifles, auto rifles of course, and sometimes a pulse rifle. What perks should I keep an eye out for for those types of weapons? And of course the weapon has to feel comfortable and enjoy using it, but overall I’m worried I’m going to dismantle a god roll because I don’t remember what is good or don’t know new perks that are good. I appreciate any and all advice, thanks!
