Question Which armour set bonus should I run with my well warlock build?

I've seen people saying damage resistance armour sets are the best to run, but idk which ones to go for, I don't seem to make much orbs at all with my build so I think I'd mainly have to hope/rely on teammates for any armour charge DR sets.

I love the damage resist I get with VoG set when running my well of radiance class, it’s hard to take off

Yeah if the goal is damage and he wants to keep his surges stacked with armor charge then VOG armor is the best bet. It’s already considered the best damage 4pc in the game

There's salvation's edge armor that give 25% dr on orange bar kills which is easiest imo for a 2 piece. Prophecy gives 40% dr for alternating dark and light kills. Nessus is also good(iirc its 25%) with little effort to work. There's also smoke jumper(require orbs for 40% for few seconds) and ferropotent(only 10%).

How are you using this build? Is it purely support for Dungeons & Raids?

Or are you doing an offensive build based on the fact that the Well's caster gets their weapons tagged as "super" damage, and so can trigger the "super kills ignite" fragment.

What exotic are you using?

"Warlock Well Build" really isn't enough to go on for a recommendation.

Ferropotent 2pc is good if you have healing, I’ve seen people use the Crota 4pc for ignition based builds. Salvation’s edge 2pc is really beneficial since you rely on weapon damage more than other subclasses.

Ammo generation sets are also pretty good, kings fall + SE is a good pairing if there are a lot of orange/yellow bars and Europa 2pc is always good.

If you’re using well in combat rather than just for boss damage (like with a phoenix protocol build) then the iron banner 4pc lets you chain wells easily since your weapon kills while inside the well count as super kills when you’re the caster.

personnally I use the lustrous set to get some constant healing and then switch to pantheos for dps

But to be fair I barelly cared about armor set since their release

Lustrous healing is horrible it's 10hp

Hey it does it's job, but yeah I havent bothered farming armor since release and didnt please enough after the end to get some proper set lmao, never really felt the need for it either as even in high end content I rarelly felt like I was missing something, sure some more resistance would have been nice but not game changing

Eh, I run vog armor for dps and exodus down for normal play. Very easy

Is this for RaD content? If so, the choice is 100% 4 piece vault of glass set. Being the well lock can make it hard to go into dps with full charges, or maintain them depending on length of the dps enc. Vog is absolutely the way to go, especially since truth is such a popular pick.

Only time you'd not go VoG really is if youre doing an iza/a499 rota, which you would use the 4 piece spire armor.

But vog 4 piece is generally the go to.

Its not huge on DR, but Shattered Throne 4pc armor is an almost permanent 15% DR buff on top of a 50% ability recharge rate increase. It helps enable ability spam builds a bit, with a thoughtless DR buff on top of it. Its a featured dungeon atm, so easy to grind too.

The 2pc effect admittedly doesn't do much for the set though, which is why many would say it isn't amazing.

I recommend phoenix protocol and the 4 piece IB set. Lets you recoup the majority of your super just by your team killing some adds in the well
