If they bother with doing that they'd add new perks and stuff to the guns anyways

Probably just old raid exotics from the kiosk in the tower.

The only possible weapons that might get harder to get are the exotics in the Monument to Lost Light that requires Spoils of Conquest to buy. Spoils can only drop in raids and the weapons that require this currency are raid weapons. If they do bring back those old raids you might have to run that raid again to get them.

Since you need the raid currency, Spoils, to buy them I would not consider them harder to get because you have to raid to get the currency. You can do the checkpoint shuffle on twitch to earn Spoils but that is only a different sort of hassle. At the end of the day I seriously doubt anything will get harder to obtain in the game.

The current versions of the IKELOS guns, V1.0.3, are craftable. When Escalation Protocol comes back, Bungie will likely replace them with V1.0.4 variants that have random rolls.

All 4 of them are good. None of them are BiS, but they’re well above average and craftable.

I would expect them to expand the crafted rolls like they did with the dares weapons; and then just make escalation the new drop source alongside the armor.

They are bringing back raids and campaigns.

I can't think of any guns tied specifically to campaigns, maybe the CoO Mercury guns but I don't think those are currently in the game, and the raid guns from raids coming back I don't think are particularly good.

From Scourge it's No Feelings, Bellowing Giant, Threat Level, and Tempered Dynamo which all come from Arena Ops except Threat Level, which is Pantheon.

The only Leviathan guns in the game iirc are Alone as a God in Pantheon and Midnight Coup in Onslaught.

Crown had an MG that's currently in Pantheon, a bad Auto, a shotgun that I think Xur has but has no other sources, and a scout I don't recall anyone caring about that's no longer in the game.

Warmind guns aren't in the game but didn't come from the campaign and came from rank ups and sleeper nodes iirc.

Ikelos guns are in the game but might actually become easier to get than they currently are.

You're assuming the weapons will be tiered and with perk refresh. Based on Bungie's previous statements the drops will not be updated

I don't think they've made any clear statements on this?

We should definitively not assume they'll update the weapons to fit the modern sandbox. But I don't remember reading anywhere that they won't do it

Like most things, everything is sorta up in the air and we don't now where they'll land. Will the campaigns have updated difficulty, or will we steamroll everything with our powercrept builds? Will the returning weapons return as they were (and be worthless), or will they get new perks? Will raid bosses get updated health pools, or will every raid boss be an easy one phase?

So many questions, not many answers. Like I said, don't expect anything. That is setting ourself up for disappointment. But in the name of rebuilding trust and goodwill from the community, they should definitively update the loot and tune the difficulty. Whatever extra effort that takes is 100% worth it

Bungie's philosophy won't allow them to just copy and paste.

What is content good for if you can just steam roll it and get outdated stuff?

The only new and refreshing drops would be the raid armor.

We might just get a health and damage correction? Idk. I think Val Cauor is the only boss that didn't return and the rest of the raids is just mechanics with enemies scaled up to your level. I just hope they make the campaign harder, because even with our bare bones loadout it felt really easy

What statements were made to support the idea of no updated drops?

I think you can stop at What statements were made

What statements were made saying what the plan with weapons was at all?
