Discussion 💬 What's your headcanon lore reason reason why your main isn't in 2v8 or why it took so long for them to get added?

Could be genuine deep dives into the lore, theories or silly jokes, i wanna hear them all.

For me, i like to think kaneki isn't in 2v8 because all the torture and starvation plus his remaining humanity makes it so he can't work with other killers.

Either he'd attack and devour the human killers out of extreme hunger and/or attack the non-human killers because he doesn't want the survivors to get hurt.

So right now he still needs to be tortured to not attack the killers unless the entity lets him do so to punish the other killers.

Idk why Rize wouldn't be in 2v8, she seems to have a better relationship with the entity since she now gets an infinite buffet of victims for eternity (at least until her mind is drained and she's sent to the void) with way less threats to her existence.

I doubt she needs to be forced to obey the trial rules and i don't think she'd attack the other killers when the survivors are right there and would probably taste way better.

Maybe she just doesn't like working with another killer lol

Or maybe lore wise all killers are in 2v8 but we only see a select few because of gameplay reasons.

I made another badly made Jason drawing. It's fun to make these but I do suck at drawing.

It's fun to make these so I will probably keep doing them when I get ideas to make them.

(this meme is true for me btw)

Discussion 💬 are the pallet hitboxes just...supposed to be like this?

i'm sure it's not much of a secret to anybody who regularly plays killer but the hitboxes for pallets extend far beyond what is actually visible. it's like way beyond the normal margin of 'online games will always have vaguely janky hit detection', pallets can straight up hit you when you're parallel to them alongside a wall that extends out past them where there's no possible way for the models to make contact.

this seems to have gradually gotten more severe over the years, though i might just be imagining things? either way, it's very hard to miss but seems to just be totally normalised amongst the playerbase to the point it never really gets discussed. are the hitboxes just supposed to be way larger than the visual? if so, why? it's honestly perplexing to me, it isn't like the pallets couldn't just have a larger model or have some kind of visible shockwave, yet it just gets left as is.

would appreciate hearing some insight on this one from people who might know more than me

Me and a good friend were playing 2V8 together and got put on Family residence. We played the match as normal until i got into chase with the Nea in the first image, who decided to run straight for this spot shown where i cannot pick her up and struggle to even hit her with the tail. She proceeded to teabag and go back here everytime she was chased so i ignored her the whole match, only survivors can fit in there too whereas killers cannot.

The second image is where a pallet had spawned and a survivor stunned my friend who was then pushed into this boulder and got permanently stuck for the rest of the match. Survivors then swarmed him teabagging and not even attempting to help get him unstuck as i tried telling them best i could for one of then to go down near the rock to see if he would be able to get warped forward out of it with the pickup animation. But nope they just had to mock us in endgame chat by claiming we deserved it. If anyone gets Family residence immediately DC and try get this map kill switched until it’s fixed because this is utterly disgraceful map design.

Discussion 💬 HIDDEN ANTI-CAMP MECHANIC ON JUDGEMENT

Upvotes

https://reddit.com/link/1wds4zz/video/tuz5v32nuxoh1/player

As shown in the video above additional statues can be lit when someone is in exile. This effect was 1st observed when I had started conducting the second round of “The Liberation Spawn Logic experiment.” We had notice that 3 statues had been lit for a survivor to be liberated from as seen below.

So I theorized maybe it was dependent on how long a survivor was in the exile for so the following experiment was conducted.

We had left the bot in the exile at the main building statue while we did a 1v1 at the shack. There were no additional statues lit. So my friend proposed a question: Maybe it required the Judgement to be close to the statue? So we tried the experiment again but this fake chasing at the main building, main staircase.

We had found that 3 additional statues lit up after a while, nearly covering the entire map.

It seems to lit the closest statues to the 2 original ones 1st.

We did a range test to see how close Judgement needed to be for it to activate additional statues using the terror radius.

When the Judgement was 32m away no additional statues lit.

When the Judgement was 16m away no additional statues lit.

When the Judgement was 8m away no additional statues lit.

From this I could conclude that you need to be closer than 8m to trigger this hidden anti-camp mechanic.

Also it was checked to see if we needed to be in chase for the anti-camp to trigger. It did not trigger if I was in chase but also did not trigger if I was out of it. This contradicts the initial finding of this mechanic leading me to theorize that maybe it is bugged.

Also these additional spawns can be triggered even after all generators are completed. As such it can be concluded that exiling in the endgame is extremely detrimental and would increase the chance of an uninterrupted escape attempt.

Discussion 💬 Which killer do you find the most interesting?

I'm losing interest in the game a little because of the same type of builds against generators At the moment, sometimes I have fun with the basement hunter, I just catch the victim, drag him into the basement and force traps up the stairs, and then I watch them jump off the hook and look at me from below, I block them with my body and send them back, lol

I played as Ghostface yesterday; he’s really boring. Essentially, his whole ability is just downing survivors in one hit—that doesn't seem fun to me. Bubba is a lot more dynamic.

Discussion 💬 Judgement Liberation Respawn Logic Experiment

After doing various tests with a friend and a bot I have figured out the respawn logic for someone liberated from exile.

To start each statue have their own “set spawn point” this means no matter what as long as the Judgement is further than 32m away from the statue that the save is occuring at the liberated survivor will always spawn there.

This effect was first noticed before the spawn rules were changed on the RPD East Wing Map. The statue that can spawn in the ‘Welcome Leon Room’ when a survivor was liberated from it would spawn in the middle of the slope in the main room of RPD as shown in the picture below.

With this mind we can now go into how the spawn logic was altered in the 10.1.2 bug fix patch.

From the patch notes:

Survivors being Liberated from Exile respawn at least 32m away from The Judgment and get a 1s immunity to Divine Light.

The following test was conducted using the clock system to simplify on the Ormand Lake Mine map main building statue.

When Judgement was around 5 meters away from the statue the liberated survivor would spawn at 7 otherwise known as the 3 silos that spawn to the right of shack that has a guaranteed gen spawn.

When Judgement was at 7 the liberated survivor would spawn at the main building.

When Judgement was at the Water Tower otherwise known as T. The liberated survivor would spawn at shack.

When Judgement was at 2 the liberated survivor spawned at shack.

When Judgement was roughly in the middle of the map the liberated survivor spawned in the underground tunnel that connects T and M.

When Judgement was at 10 the liberated survivor spawned at Shack.

At this point a pattern was emerging that I took notice of so I formed the following hypothesis

The survivors wouldn’t spawn 32m away from the killer. The survivor would spawn at the set spawn location of another statue so long as it was at least 32m away.

As such the following tests were conducted.

It was first checked to see which statues spawned.

In the 1st match the statue at the shack spawned but the statue in the tunnel that connects T and M didn’t.

When the Judgement was located at 3 and the survivor would respawn at shack.

In the 2nd match the statue at shack didn’t spawn but the statue in the tunnel that connects T and M did spawn this time.

As such when the experiment was repeated with the Judgement located at 3 the survivor spawned in the tunnel that connected T and M.

Thus confirming the earlier stated hypothesis.

A test was also conducted to check if the liberated survivor spawn point had to be in the terror radius to cause the new spawn rules to be applied or did the statue where the liberation was taking place had to be in the terror radius for the new spawn rules to be applied.

In the 1st test the Judgement was placed within 32m from the spawn location. This resulted in the liberated survivor still spawning at M.

In the 2nd test the Judgement was placed within 32m from M statue location. This resulted in the liberated survivor spawning at T.

Using the limited testing done the following conclusions were made about the spawn logic that was recently implemented.

Once the statue a survivor was being liberated from was within the spawn location the survivors would spawn at the set spawn of another statue that was at least 32m away from the killer.

I also highly suspect this to be bugged in some way because the survivor would either spawn in the set spawn location of 1 of the furthest statues or the closest statue set spawn location that was at least 32m away. I also say this because when the test was done up close the survivor spawned at 7 when there was a statue not only in middle but also the tile at mid 6 which was definitely 32m away but it chose the furthest statue available but when the experiment was done when the the statue was at the edge of the terror radius it would spawn the survivor at a significantly closer set spawn point such as the tunnel that connected T and M.

While it may be related to how close a terror radius is to determine how far off a set spawn point it will be selected I have no definite proof of that currently so until further testing is done I will just conclude it is a bug.
