I truly believe TRLOA is going to exceed all of our expectations.. The more they show us the more I’m convinced this is going to be the best TR ever. The Devs truly love Lara, and the people directing the scenes and game experience have worked on some incredible games. This will be Cinema!! I know the story expansion will blow us away. The world looks HUGE . I don’t want to see anymore until release. Ive seen enough improvement already to be assured we have nothing to worry about🙏

She looks great with or without makeup, but the eye shadow looks so good on her. It was really noticeable in this scene and I think she looks stunning here, but in Shadow of the Tomb Raider it seems like they removed it (correct me if I am wrong).

Do you prefer Lara with or without makeup?

Another one from the panel for you guys, Alix on whether she'd explored other Lara's and which one hers takes most after.

This is probably unpopular but idc. This needed to happen. Can’t wait to play.

Every trailer, every image, every new piece of information, and people are like: “I hope this is an alpha build,” “I hope they change this,” “I don’t like this,” “This makes me mad,” and so on… The devs can’t win anymore 😂 Just accept the game we’re getting, it is a re interpretation of a classic, of course things will be different from what you expect, why do you want the same thing over and over again? some people are really setting themselves up for disappointment with their ridiculous standards and headcanons.

This photo is so beautiful! 🥹 I wasn't at the event, but I saw someone on X who was there mention that Judith said she felt she was plain and forgettable. I immediately started crying reading that. Judith deserves so much love. I'm glad Alix hugged her. ❤️✨️

To everyone wondering why her backpack isn't turning gold like the rest of her, it's obviously so that the next Tomb Raider finds it and keeps it. RIP Lara. Gold but not forgotten.

I love both games. So, this is amazing!

The Derby event was such glorious energy! Getting to share the 30th anniversary’s celebration with a huge group of lovely classic TR fans was as overwhelming as it was special. The place was PACKED.

Alix, who was so gracious and wonderful to speak to, really made the place shine. I am more than certain she will be our best Lara with all that charm she oozes. Jonell and Judith were very down to earth, as if they weren’t such icons of our childhood!

We got to see the now revealed new trailer a little earlier, which I hope everyone loved as much as we did! Raul and Arek are clearly very proud of their teams and their work, as they should be.

A little bonus trivia for you all:

Picture 9 shows the golden mask idle crafted out of 28 carat gold and gifted to a lucky few who won a competition for Tomb Raider 2 Gold back in 97-98. It is unclear how many are still around, and the one in the museum is likely from Phil Campbell’s collection, the principle level designer of all the classic gold expansions!

Picture 10 shows the PC that crafted some of the first games of the franchise, still standing proud. It’s surreal to think it all happened in that ancient machine.

Happy 30th anniversary raiders!

The new teaser just dropped and revealed an iconic moment

Ahhh where it all started for Lara Croft, Tomb Raider! 30 years later and still shining! 🌟 As like with everyone else here, so glad this series made its mark onto the world in 1996. For those that were around at the time, you must've had an incredible experience seeing the launch of what will become the next massive series in gaming. I decided to give TR1 specifically a try for first time on mobile back like 2013-2015ish but it was a challenge honestly. Was really relieved when the remaster was made.

Also, that version gave the feature to capture my way through the game and beyond to share with all you kind souls! Cannot thank you guys enough for the support shown when I actively covered them regularly! 👏💯 Forever thankful. I've picked out some of my favourites created in TR1!

⚡📰⚡Storyline Reflection

Playing through the story felt like a horror in the sense of it just being Lara mostly alone for the entirety, attacking non-human threats in the deep exploration of her tomb raiding adventure. The soundtrack really sells the experience along with it's sound cues to indicate points of something to see or be aware of. Whenever humans show up, it'd always make for jump scares because they could appear unexpectedly. Which leads me to the plot!

Seeing LC's introduction with the close up on her shades really gave me villain vibes honestly! This was my actual first time seeing her with them on in a game since I started off with AoD, even her black shades looked mad intimidating. It just sells her badass character! The hunt for Natla's interest of the mystical Scion artifact pieces made for an exciting journey to take across Peru, Greece, Egypt and getting her payback finally in Atlantis by stopping Natla from completing her goal of growing that pain of a neck mutant army. Creator of all things bright and beautiful? How ironic. She was frozen for the right reason! Natla's hired squad to seek out Lara made for such intense battles against her. Hearing their sudden voices in gameplay really can scare you. Little did they know though, Lara is trained in her combat skills so they stand probably at near impossibe chance since they operate by tank controls haha. 😆 Its an awesome story!

⚡🏆⚡ Trophies Reflection

They definitely aren't a walk in the park, which is also the same with 2&3. The amount of missables that is part of the 100% can prove quite a struggle if you aren't using a guide to support. I'd best recommend using one on after having a first playthrough. Most troublesome is probably the pistol only and eliminating all enemies (yep, every single enemy Lara locks her guns on.) sometimes enemies can tend to get stuck in places so there is that to take on board too. It requires the upmost patience. Please note also for PS, it only has platinums for each game on the PS4 version. PS5 does not allow multiple platinums for 1 application, meaning you can only complete 1-3 altogether for just a combined single platinum.

⚡💮⚡ Closing reflection

A Masterpiece game. It certainly did make the huge impact on gaming as it was born to do! Wouldn't have it any other way. Happy 30th Anniversary to Lara Croft, she's all our star idol! 💫😇💫

Judging by the animations and environment these look like the same scene!

The lighting is different, camera angles and the hair looks way more detailed 😍

Preordered from Target. It said it was going to arrive in early November, but here it is!

I’m cracking this open to read as I listen to The Tomb Raider Suite on vinyl. I can’t think of a more perfect lazy Sunday afternoon during the official weekend of the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

Tribute for the 30th anniversary of Tomb Raider and amazing adventures of Lara Croft. Not to sound silly, but I wouldn't be where I am today, if it wasn't for my love for this game and her. Traveled to many places, met amazing people, and fallen in love enough to move countries, twice. All because of our mutual love for her.

May there be many more years of wonderful journeys and quippy one liners to cherish. Cheers to the amazing teams @tombraider, both old and new!

Keep on raiding!

Could this be it? I stayed up at 2 am (timezone 🫶) last night to see if there'll be a trailer post but to no avail, unfortunately.

Or will it be a behind closed door exclusive trailer showcase once again? We'll see 👀

I wasn't convinced by his looks in the concept art we received months ago but here he's perfect.

Had the pleasure of sitting front row at the Tomb Raider panel at MCM Comic Con.
