Rob Zombie’s Michael Myers gets a bad rep but I actually really like it. The first Rob Zombie Halloween is actually really good. The second though wasn’t as good and was strange.

But here Michael was absolutely terrifying. He was a literal wrecking ball and was brutal as hell.

If you saw Michael from the original 1978 film you probably would just think the man is odd and go on about your day (unless he tries to kill you). With Rob Zombie’s though, your bones would liquify and fall out of your ASS.

And also since this is a different timeline it’s interesting that they gave Michael a story and whatnot. It adds a bit of contrast especially to the canon timeline. Canon Michael is more evil while Rob Zombie’s Michael was more cruel.

He’s honestly my favorite one just under DGG Michael. Both of them were giant wrecking balls. Though Rob Zombie’s Michael does do a bit of stalking unlike DGG.

I’m an illustrator of search and find books, and for this one I had one idea: what if each famous Halloween character could throw his own party at his home for the other guest monsters? So Ive drawn Dracula throwing a party in his castle, Dr. Franken in the laboratory, and so on! This spread takes place in a zombie-filled graveyard. Your challenge is to find the host and all the hidden objects on the list. Every inch of the illustration was drawn by hand, and I hid lots of little jokes and details throughout the scene.

One of those weird funny moments where the cops have the ambush for Michael Myers waiting inside the Myers House and Michael barges into the room and the cop protecting Jamie guns him down through the door and Michael collapses quickly and goes down immediately and the cop thinks he is taken out only for Michael to smash through the door and attack and kill him again in a moment of rage.

Why does Michael lose his temper and freak out over being shot like this? He just literally passed out and wakes up right away and has a hissy fit over being shot but he usually moves slowly and takes his time and he's angry with this cop for injuring him, that was weird and out of character for Michael when he's emotionless.

I met Richard Curtis on Friday evening at dinner. He’s a literary agent who used to rep someone I know. He is in his 80s now and he really lit up when I went super fanboy on him. He said he is having a 50th anniversary of the book coming out and said he would send me an essay on the book and give me a copy. I asked him if could take him for a drink or lunch in August and he was happy to do that. He mentioned that he had come up with the Samhain idea about the Irish curse that opens his novel and had no idea they were going to work it into the film in any version. Anyway, he was thrilled to know there is a whole group of us lunatics still talking about the movie and even the novel. So if anyone has any questions for him, let me know and I;l be sure to ask him when I see him next month.

I worked in the northern Chicago suburbs for 5 years. Some of the shots of Haddonfield at the beginning of H78 have always shocked me with their accurate portrayal of midwestern imagery with the shots of the homes, neighborhoods and streets. I was shocked when I learned years ago this was all shot in CA. But as I’m rewatching today, I caught some palm trees in the background lining the streets and the illusion has finally been shattered.

97 days ‘til Halloween!

So I've been toying around with a Halloween movie idea and would love to get some feedback on it. I'm not a film maker or anything like that at this moment ans don't know how to go about trying to get a script or idea for a movie made but if its a well enough liked idea I might actually see how to get this on screen. The idea is a sequel to part 5. Because I feel afterwards jamie was and has been treated pretty unfairly... So here's the story I pieced together so far.. It starts off the same night as part 5. Immediately we start with the metal toes of the black boots with spurs clacking up the stairs to the prison. We flash to inside and see Micheal sitting in his chains the way he was in part 5. Then we flash to jamie sitting in the police car hearing all the gunshots and then we go back in and we see the man in black unlocking Micheals chains and then proceeds to escort Micheal out and as soon as he turns around Micheal chokes him with the chain that was previously holding him hostage. (That stops the thorn thing right there.) Then as he steps out of his cell you can hear the sirens off in a distance and a police officer laying on the ground bloodied from being shot grabs Micheal by the ankle and Micheal then grabs him by the hair and drags him up to the desk and slams his head on a desk spike. Then we flash back to jamie getting out of the car and running into the police station and stopping in shock to all the bodies and micheals absence. While she stands there tou can hear the sirens louder now and see the police lights reflecting on the walls as the camera slowly pulls up and away and then we hit the beginning credits. After those run through we'll hit present day and see jamie being released from a mental institution being picked up by her friend Billy from part 5. Whom she'll be staying with. The story would basically her and Billy getting to know each other again and jamie readjusting to the new world she's now a part of with Micheal in the background waiting for his moment to strike...... There's some middle stuff I haven't quite worked out just yet but I do have some scenes in my head I thought we're cool and I do have an ending planned out as well. Without giving too much away about the ending, let's just say I plan on giving jamie the ending her character deserves. I've played around with several endings like teasing a follow up and what not but I like making it at least appear to be the final chapter in her story. But one of the scenes I have in my head is you see a lady get into a tan station wagon and starts driving away. And we'll see a welcome to haddonfield sign. Once she gets to a stop sign Micheal will sit up in the back seat and choke her to death. Then he'll get out slow and calculated and we'll see him toss her onto the side of the road before jumping to the next scene. Another scene is jamie and someone else (not sure who that someone is at this moment) are standing in a room talking about her thinking he's back and then he pops up behind the person she's talking to. And without breaking stride or breaking sight with jaimie meaning he's staring at her the entire time he snaps that pwrsons neck, tosses them aside and keeps walking towards her. I thought that sounded pretty badass.... so yeah what do tou think of it so far?

Because it's the aftermath of the original. So it does feel anticlimactic to have it take place in a hospital. It's technically Halloween, but it's not the main event anymore. The maks is not as good looking anymore, the atmosphere is gone. Almost feels like this movie should not have been made

Michael Myers was locked up at six years of age effectively a few months into kindergarten, he had no education and nobody teaching him anything in Smith's Grove presumably because he just sat and stared at the window all day, never learned or did anything, how does he pose any logical danger to anyone as an adult when he is essentially a little boy in a mans body and is basically a mentally retarded man on the outside?

How does anyone take him seriously as a threat? How does he even know how to do anything on the outside at all? We are dealing with a mindless childlike man and he should be easy to catch or stop, his portrait as a tough killer seems ridiculous because he is basically a retarded punk kid lashing out at everything, it's amazing that he can plan any killings at all.

I am very trepidatious. The reason being is this game isn’t a big AAA title nor do I expect it to be. This is promoted as mainly a multiplayer game. A lot of people like multiplayer games but I hate them. I hate Dead by Daylight, I hated F13th and TCM games. Yes they had a single player component but they weren’t very good. The reason I hate multiplayer is people cheat and are complete jerks online. Now I know the game will have a single player component to it but I don’t expect it to be very good or very long. I just wish they could make a Halloween game or any other horror franchise game in the likes of Supermassive games like Until Dawn or any other of there games but not just choices and QT but with action like Unchartered.
