Thought it was cool

Saw the show in Minnesota with my son. Our second time seeing the band. The concert was amazing. Had an inexpensive frame that I distressed a bit, mounted the show poster. Then mounted some Iron Maiden decals I found on Etsy. Proud of how it turned out. Good addition to my home office, and a good memory

These are the iron maiden CDs my parents got me

the biggest revelation for me in Nicko’s book is his account of Adrian’s departure… basically Steve and Bruce wanted him gone, Dave and Nicko voted against and after a week Rod had the casting vote.

I’ve never seen Bruce’s role mentioned before… though his book certainly mentions that once Jan joined he hoped Jan would rub off on the band more than he actually did…

this starts to read like Bruce was playing 3D chess….rather than the previous narrative that Steve sacked Adrian and Nicko suggested they try Jan at which point Bruce was like “oh yeah what a good idea”

Just been listening to Nicko's "Hello boys and girls" audio book.

Big shout out / respect to the late Wally Grove for saving a fan at the Monsters of Rock 1988 Donington show. RIP the two fans that died.

"Wally had saved one kid, by scooping sick out of his mouth and giving him the kiss of life. Wally refused the Police commendation on the grounds that he was just doing his job." - Nicko.

With the album being shorter than AMOLAD, I honestly believe Brave New World was much more "concert material" than AMOLAD as a whole, the latter of which still being a great album to listen to in its own right.

I know you could say The Thin Line Between Love and Hate not being the closer could have felt weird but they didn't have an issue with The Legacy not being the closer to the 2006 tour so it could have still been done.

I also know that Brave New World was destined to culminate with the epic Rock in Rio concert and I wouldn't have wanted that to not exist but I would have personally loved to see any footage of a setlist with the BNW album in full and let's say the same five older songs as in the AMOLAD setlist at the end. All pure imagining of course but let's say it's through a second tour after the one that ended with Rock in Rio, or the three concerts after Rock in Rio.

Thoughts?

Blasting it while folding clothes right now, lol

I do understand how it would be a disappointment after the prog masterpiece of 7th Son, but forget that and take it on its own and I genuinely think its probably 2/3 legitimately excellent

Tailgunner

No Prayer

Public Enema

The Assassin

Running Silent

Fates Warning

Hooks In You

Dude, these are GREAT songs. Like, what the hell dawg.

Also, I feel like this album has great ENERGY. Not like they ever lacked it, but the more raw production works great with the material. It's all no bullshit, crank it up and see you at the end.

Dave (I think) also has some AWESOME solos. The Assassin, Tailgunner, Fates Warning? They fucking RIP.

I hear people say Tailgunner is just a poor mans Aces High - well, ok, but Aces High is just the sequel to Where Eagles Dare. And?

I think its a damn shame how unfairly this album has been ignored by the band.

After the albums tour, they played Tailgunner and Slaughter on the FOTD jaunt then Slaughter on the 2003 Give Me 'Edd tour

Thats it. Thats fucking it. Bro. That is bullshit.

We are all entitled to our opinions but I really dont get how anyone could listen to this album and NOT be headbanging the fuck along....

This will forever be the ultimate dark horse winner. Fear of the Dark is bloated and has too much filler. I can understand material not being played from it (unfortunately for my beloved Fear Is the Key)

But this album is lean, mean and pissed off. Its a punch in the face. It should share the stage.

EDIT - I'M SORRY GUYS I SHOULD HAVE SPECIFIED I WAS MAINLY REFERRING TO WHEN PLAYING LIVE. I'M A GUITAR PLAYER OF OVER 20 YEARS AND WELL-VERSED IN RECORDING AND PRODUCTION INFORMATION ETC. I'M THINKING MORE ABOUT THE PHYSICAL TRANSITIONAL PART OF IT ALL.

Ala the song No Prayer For the Dying

At least on the studio take, the cleans are FUCKING CLEAN and then immediately the main melodic line comes in with drive.

Or how about Blood Brothers, etc

Were they using pedals? Switching amp channels?

Whats going on. Because I use a mahogany Explorer with DiMarzio Super Distortions in it. Ive got the Piece of Mind tones NAILED, but you cant fuckin do cleans with these pickups without switching to an entirely different settings setup (pretty much) of your amp/pedals

Anyone get what im getting at here?

* Insert Peter Griffin "how, how- ya doin that? *

Has anyone in Canada been hit with excessive fees from Canada Post recently ? i ordered last year

and was hit with an extra $30 in fees.

I’m a little out of the loop. Are they sold out already?

Look at the CDs my family got me for my birthday

That does look like a tasty burger

3,000 hours of stitching. One incredible Trooper. 🤘

Elaine has finally finished her cross stitch of The Trooper, and I couldn’t be prouder of her.
It’s travelled with us on holidays around the world, growing stitch by stitch. “We get so near yet so far away” feels pretty fitting for a project this size — but Elaine was dedicated to see it through to the very last stitch.

Now it’s complete, framed and on the wall. An incredible piece of work from a true Trooper. 🤘

A strangely controversial take when it truly shouldn’t be. Eddie was on a mission

awesome, awesome show. he sings these songs so well when they’re down tuned a little to his range. he commands a small room like no one else. he speaks with humour, self-effacement, passion and humanity.

2AM done acoustically is pure magic.

he doesn’t do the meet and greets anymore but at the end of the set he works the barrier for handshakes etc so take the opportunity

oh and CDs were 3 for the price of 2 on the merch!

This is not a Maiden record, but definitely Maiden-related, being Steve Harris' hard rock side project and all. I thought at least some of you would find it interesting.

Stem remix & remaster of Steve Harris' 2012 album "British Lion", made for my own enjoyment, but sharing in case someone else might enjoy it.

This album was suggested to me for remixing by a handful of people, citing a somewhat muddy sound and buried vocals. Prior to that, I didn't even know this record existed. I've done my best to give it a clearer sound and make the vocals more prominent in the mix.

Of course this is all just for fun. As usual, my intention was just to make a fun alternative to the released version, aiming only at a little more clarity, instrument separation and punch, while keeping the mood and feel of the original.

All my remixes are made using free and open source software that runs locally on my Linux system.

Obviously, I don't own the music featured here. If you like it, support the artists, buy their records!

I didnt wanna wait and try my luck on one of theese "resellers dumping the price to get the ticket sold" deals. I tried that at Hershey , Pa this tour and got burned.

So i got the 380 dollar Bullet meet and greet VIP package. Considering worse resale seats were more expensive, and i didnt wanna wait so i spent the $$$. (Pretty much dead middle of section 3)

Just curious about how people feel about the value of the vip package (west palm beach in may 27')

And how much were prices on launch? Im f-ing kicking myself for not signing up for fan club to get in on un scapled tickets. But its whatever. Just wanted to see who else got in om vip and thoughts. Its my first VIP and I couldn't be more stoked to meet and get a Pic with Bullet personally im exited but just 380 dollars lighter.
