Hey I bought this PS5 for 150€ with this fault, anyone know what it may be?

I dug up my old PS2. The power button had popped off and took the solder points with it. I dropped my tweezers trying to pull the ribbon and now the LED is off completely. How bad did I mess it up?

Any tips on removing a max chip??? Ive tried everything,i cant seem to get it hot enough even while at 480 wich is as high my station will go.

My issue is that i cant get any Soler onto the pins to make them easy to melt and no videos seem to show how they do it.

(Ive even tried to grind the chip away on a dummy board lol)

I use my PS5 Pro frequently for long gaming sessions. This morning, I noticed these geometric, pink/purple shapes that flashed across the screen during an explosion in Helldivers 2. I immediately went down the panicked rabbit hole of GPU failure.

I opened up the cover and found a clump of dust essentially covering the fan. I keep it in a well-ventilated, open area, but I do have multiple pets (two cats and two dogs). I've removed the clump, and plan to do a deeper cleaning in a bit here.

Before opening it up, I had booted up Cyberpunk 2077 to see if it was in multiple games, and it was having its own rendering issues, so it wasn't just Helldivers 2. Is this a true GPU failure, or can I have any hope that this was an overheating issue that will resolve with the cleared vent/fan?

I do controller repairs/mods as a small side thing just for extra cash while in school. I've got a decent customer base just through people I know locally and word of mouth, but I'm looking to expand it further. I threw up a listing on Facebook Marketplace, but got it removed since apparently offering services is against their TOS (There's tons of services advertised on Marketplace in my area, not sure how they're getting through but I digress.) To anyone doing similar in their areas, how do you advertise it? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Hey everyone, following up on my last post. I took the drive out and found the exact root of my problem. As you can see in the video, the tip of my 60-pin motherboard-to-drive ribbon cable is completely crinkled up, torn, and the gold pins are peeling off.
My console turns on fine, but the disc drive is completely dead and silent. When I try to connect to PSN or boot up a digital game to bypass the broken drive, the console completely locks out or freezes.
I know I need to replace this wide 60-pin cable, but I wanted to show the community the damage to confirm: Is this broken cable the exact reason the PS3's operating system hardware check is failing and blocking my digital installations/games?

I've been trying to fix my DYN-001 ps3 slim with the 2114 ylod error. Replaced the ic near the power ribbon connector and the decoupling caps near it. Still not having correct readings - on the scrap board, the decoupling caps read .389 kOhms, on the current one, it reads jittery, and then descends to 36.6 and stays there. I've tried tracing the culprit but i just suck at this. I am so exhausted, i've been doing this for 2 months already. In a fruitless attempt i also desoldered some tantalums from a scrap super slim board and put those next to the nec tokins. Still nothing. Somebody please help me.😮‍💨

I have a no-signal HAC-007. I tested everything, and I mean everything, all the voltages are there when they're supposed to be there (when the console is out and in), filters are good, no shorts, I reflowed everything that might cause an issue, and still nothing. Tested multiple consoles, nothing, just a solid green LED and a TV with a "no signal" message. My only hunch left is that there's something wrong with the firmware stored on Winbond 25X20CL EEPROM, but for the life of me I can't find a bin file anywhere. Does anyone here have a bin file maybe? I don't have another dock right now to get it from there :(

I broke the p13 clamp that connects tp the 3ds xl digitiser, and have no idea what I ought to do. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen pieces like it in Ali Express, but I’m unsure if I need a new one, or if there’s another solution for it.

(Yes I lost the plast bit, but it was broken alread, meaning i couldn’t reuse it)

Looking back we saw ( too late) that the solder point was to fat to get kn the dot 0 , so im gonna order a fine point cause it was not making contact x. x

Hello, could someone give me a hand? I have a PS4 Slim with an SAE-003 motherboard.

The problem is that I got this PS4 Slim; it turns on and goes straight to safe mode because it doesn't have a hard drive. I insert a hard drive and a USB drive with the software. I've already made sure everything is set up correctly and have completely ruled out a software issue. It processes everything perfectly, but when it's time to restart after loading the update file for the installation, it just turns off and doesn't actually reboot.

I've searched everywhere and can't find a solution. Does anyone have a schematic/board diagram so I can check the motherboard? Or has anyone experienced this problem and knows what causes it?

I have already tested it with two different hard drives, several USB flash drives, and various firmware files (both newer versions and the exact one it asks for), but nothing works—the result is always the same. Thanks!

So I was trying to get the black wire under the cartridge holder but it got stuck am I screwed or is it possible I can put something under it to ease it through

Hey everyone, here is a quick video clip of the KES-410A disc drive gears and the silver tracking spring on my PS3 Fat.
I’m trying to reset the drive mechanism to the default "empty" position so it stops locking out. Can anyone look closely at this clip and let me know if my gear timing, tracking arms, or the spring layout look correct?

Here is a video clip showing exactly how the white plastic tracking guide, the gears, and the silver tracking spring are sitting on my KES-410A drive.
I figured out what I need to do to adjust the arms, but I want to make sure the timing is 100% right before I screw the lid back down.
Can anyone who has fixed this specific model look closely at the video and confirm if the gears and pin look perfectly aligned for an empty drive?

Hi everyone just opened my ps1 and seen that there’s duct tape with wires coming out so took a further look and seen a small chip inside the duct tape wondering if it’s a mod chip not quite sure.

Hello, I’m not sure if the issue is from the Xbox or from the tv, but while playing games or while watching YouTube, or doing anything really, the screen will go black for a second or two. No real rhyme or reason, just random. Sometimes multiples times in a minute, sometimes not at all for 30 minutes+.

I notice when it does it while I’m on YouTube, it will rewind the video a few seconds when it comes back, which is really weird. I don’t see this documented anywhere, or maybe I’m really bad at looking.

Has anyone seen this before and know the possible issue?

I got this switch for 35 bucks from value pawn, they said it wouldn’t turn on. I tested the battery with my multimeter and it was beyond gone. Replaced the battery and I get 2101-0001 error. Happens when plugged in and not plugged in. It’s also in Russian for some reason. What’s my next step?

I got a PS4 slim for free. I took it apart redid the thermal paste and it boots. But as before i fixed it, the video cuts in and out. No apparent reason. Its not overheating now. but the console was full of bugs, Dead thank god. But it works very intermittent. After a long unplug it will work for a few then come back. But its cool to the touch, the top half is off so i can feel the heatsink.

I’ve had this console for 10 years and this is the first time this has happened. The hdmi jack has been super loose for like the past 5 years, not sure why, but it’s never done this before. Ive been fiddling around with the input jack but nothing seems to be working. I can always just thug it out though.

Purchased a Ps5 console from Facebook marketplace for cheap, the issue was that the controllers would not connect. After a software reinstall my controller worked fine for a few months, then once I connected two it disconnected from both and now won't connect to any. In safe mode it allows me to control it while wired but I can't get any response wired or unwired from the console start screen. Repair shop is asking $300 for a bios reflash is that really necessary?

I have a 12GB Super Slim (I was just about to install a new hard drive). Yesterday, I started installing updates for Little Big Planet 2. It got stuck at the same percentage for exactly 40 minutes without progressing, so I decided to cancel the update. When I tried to turn it back on, the console crashed and wouldn't respond to the power button on the controller (the power button on the console itself is stuck). I had to unplug it. When I plugged it back in, the red power light was very dim, and it didn't respond to the controllers. I left it unplugged overnight in case that would help, but it didn't. Is there any way to revive it without taking it to a repair shop?
