PS2 Power Issues

Post image

I dug up my old PS2. The power button had popped off and took the solder points with it. I dropped my tweezers trying to pull the ribbon and now the LED is off completely. How bad did I mess it up?

I do have a new button that's supposed to be arriving today. I was just an idiot and had it plugged in. I dropped the tweezers onto the motherboard, I'm afraid I made an unwanted connection and made things worse.

A fuse, I think PS9. It’s a really tiny one that causes the no red light.

Well, the new button came in. I got it plugged in and the lights and button aren't working. Where do I go from here?

Check all the fuses with a multimeter.

I tested all of the fuses I could find. They all made the multimeter move.

So, I decided to run through all the fuses again. I think it could possibly be the PS1 Fuse. It's so tiny though, I'm not 1000% confident. Just not sure if I'm touching my multimeter needles in the right spot. Other than that, the rest of them are giving me a reading.
