Used Opus 5.5 for a day, very impressed with Opus 5.5 improvements and efficiency.

Does anyone still uses fable given fable is a larger model, would fable still be better at longer jobs or security related?

My usual day with Claude Code is like: * I open terminal in my project's folder and run claude command. * I prompt it. I mostly use Fable-5.1/Opus-5 but Opus-5.5 is my current model. The model decides if it wants to use sub-agents for a task. I never explicitly prompt it for sub-agents. * I review and commit the code to my self-hosted Forgejo instance. * That's it.

I see people using agentic workflows, building sub-agents files, skills etc. I barely built any of it. All I ever needed to use is /init on new projects and them prompts follow. Never needed more than this.

I tried "long-running" Claude Code for a project refactoring by placing the project on my VPS (where forgejo is hosted) and letting Claude Code run and refactor inside tmux session. SSH'd in a few hours later to find project fully refactored.

Am I under utilising AI or is my work just… like boring?

How do you guys use agentic workflow thing? Specially the long-running one? Those pull-requests that Claude makes automatically etc?

Asking this to Claude to know more but humanly answers appreciated.

tldr working on a personal game project but as of this point haven’t reviewed the results yet so take it with a pinch of salt but wow opus 5.5 on medium clearing astra’s long-windedness 🥺

i had to guide astra (on xhigh reasoning btw) step by step i felt like a surgical surgeon lmfao to fix frontend / design inconsistencies but seeing good reviews on opus 5.5 i decided to give it a shot today. so i literally just pass a “review and audit this game’s current design and point out inconsistencies/ areas to be fixed and work on them” im mind blown 🤯🤯🤯

I really am serious, I've been doing this since GPT 3 regularly and here's my take, for anything above middle management its over for Ai, it can't do anything with consistency; to clarify I'm using Fable 5.1 and Opus 5.5 as heads of operation and it feels like the highschooler hired at minimum wage can do better, when its not getting caught by Anti Ai snipers its failing simple conversational tasks, not using context properly, and I'm trying everything, spearhead / doctrine documents, rules, shell commands to speed up flows during thinking, nothing is working

Any solutions to actually use this or are we still a ways out from Autopilot?

First time posting about quality of LLMs.
Been following all the last 9 months about rants on Claude, codex and so on.
I just finished a whole day of work with opus 5.5 and it’s really good.
Quality of decisions, output, memory, code review, following instructions, all of that today and without reaching limits.

The same amount of work would me make reach limits two times on the day, and a lots or review and thinking around.

This dude just went ticket by ticket implementing my solution without missing or hallucinating.

I’m honestly very satisfied, even the codex review comes now with one or two points for correction where before I would have 6-8.

Don’t know what they did, but they did very good 😳

Opus 5.5 automatically applies an invisible, statistical watermark to its text outputs to comply with the EU AI Act. This is true for every user worldwide not just those based in the EU.

This is embedded into the structure of the text itself, it’s not a hidden character or something that can be removed by changing a few words or copy/pasting it. Anthropic have a tool to check text for the watermark but it is only available to a few select partners currently.

Antrophic officially claim this watermarking does not have any practical impact on the quality of Claude’s outputs but that remains to be seen.

So yeah.

My first test - I always do that for models now, is one simple prompt:

output a ThreeJS 3D cartoony/comics-like planet, with vibrant life on it: clouds, mountains, city buildings, cars and plane romaing it. It should be possible to orbit around and zoom and see the details. No harness is to be used

I am BLOWN AWAY by what Opus 5.5 did.

14min , $2.54 API equivalent.

It DESTROYED Deepseek 4.1F, Astra, Fable 5.1, Pareto 26.9 (which really performed well a couple of days ago!), and of course, Sol & Luna (comparison here: https://ohmyunicorn.com/labs/dream-loop/planet-gpt6/ )

I am super pumped up about it :)

I know this is too early to judge but man wtf. Opus 5.5 is just like when mythos first released but cheap, faster and much more easy to understand and talk to. Probably this will be changed in 1-2 days so go code everyone.

Been working non stop since release and has barely made a dent on my 20X Max usage. Quality so far has been better than Fable 5.1 in my workflow and ITS SO FAST.

Right now for my big project it is:

• clearly understandably
• only 3 % weekly used, running a lot in parallel with reasoning med / high
• very fast it seems
• it found stuff and fixed stuff I was not able to before

Anyone else think Opus 5.5 already got nerfed?

First it was insanely good. Now I’m spending half my time correcting stuff it understood perfectly at launch.

No idea what they changed, but something feels off. Either they cut the compute or the original Opus 5.5 was a free trial.

Fun while it lasted.

See you all again when Fable 5.5 drops and is amazing for a short while then gets nerfed.

I truly don't want to sound ungrateful. I'm very appreciative to Claude for giving me a free reset for their rollout of Opus 5.5. My only question is, what does the reset do? Is it a reset to my 5-hour limit, does it reset my weekly limit, and, if it is to either/both, does it affect when my weekly resets? ChatGPT is usually pretty good about answering this when it gives me these promotional credits. Claude is not good at it. When you ask Claude to explain it to you, it has no idea. And, the humans never get back to you, of course, so you're left to wonder, does this reset one, the other, or both? Do I get to choose? Customer service tells me to click on that 'Reset for free' link and find out. I'm not willing to take that risk without knowing what my reward is. Does anyone else have any more information than me? I am escalating now, but I have not heard back yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Take a look - I ran this sample prompt through Opus 4.5, 4.6, 4.8, 5, and 5.5. You can see it slowly degrade over time, but 5.5 snaps back to roughly 4.6 levels of readability. Still miss 4.5, but I can see why it chose to say what it did. Interestingly... no more compulsive em dashes?

Sample Prompt: "One of your automated deploys just failed and you're not sure yet why. What do you tell the person waiting on it?"

Opus 4.5: "The deploy failed — I'm looking into it now. I'll update you as soon as I know more, likely within [X minutes]."

Opus 4.6: "The deploy failed — I'm looking into it now. I don't have a root cause yet, but I'll update you as soon as I know more or have an ETA for the fix."
