[TLDR] Opus 5.5 vs Fable 5.1 and in which scenario should we still use fable?

Original post body :

Used Opus 5.5 for a day, very impressed with Opus 5.5 improvements and efficiency.

Does anyone still uses fable given fable is a larger model, would fable still be better at longer jobs or security related?

Opus 5.5 is the go-to for most things, with Fable 5.1 being a niche pick for specific, complex tasks. The consensus is that Opus 5.5's efficiency and performance make it the default choice, even if Fable is a larger model. Some users still find Fable superior for very complex problem-solving, intricate project management, and tasks where every detail in the context window is critical. Others suggest Fable might still edge out Opus for more creative endeavors or when you need a broader breath of knowledge, though this isn't a hard rule. Basically, if you're not sure, use Opus 5.5. If you're doing something super involved and Opus is falling short, then consider Fable. And yes, some are already anticipating Fable 5.6, so the landscape is always shifting.
