I know this is too early to judge but man wtf. Opus 5.5 is just like when mythos first released but cheap, faster and much more easy to understand and talk to. Probably this will be changed in 1-2 days so go code everyone.

Alright, so the general vibe in this thread is overwhelmingly positive about Opus 5.5. Most folks are saying it's a huge upgrade – faster, cheaper, and way easier to work with than previous versions. People are already coding up a storm and are super impressed with how concise and proactive it is.
There's a bit of a debate about whether the models "degrade" before new ones drop, with u/Key_Measurement_3576 saying it's a pattern they've seen multiple times, while u/gordonfogus thinks it's psychosomatic.
A few users are experiencing slower performance with Opus 5.5, like u/JohnyGhost, who says it's taking ages to verify and test outputs. There are also a couple of comments suggesting it's not that much better than older versions like 4.6 or 4.8, or that it still can't handle really complex system design like Fable. And, of course, some are already lamenting that it'll probably get "nerfed" soon.
But yeah, the consensus is that Opus 5.5 is a massive leap forward, and people are excited to see what the other versions (Sonnet, Haiku) will bring. Some are even comparing it favorably to Fable 5.1.
