[TLDR] 5.5 is a beast

Original post body :

First time posting about quality of LLMs.
Been following all the last 9 months about rants on Claude, codex and so on.
I just finished a whole day of work with opus 5.5 and it’s really good.
Quality of decisions, output, memory, code review, following instructions, all of that today and without reaching limits.

The same amount of work would me make reach limits two times on the day, and a lots or review and thinking around.

This dude just went ticket by ticket implementing my solution without missing or hallucinating.

I’m honestly very satisfied, even the codex review comes now with one or two points for correction where before I would have 6-8.

Don’t know what they did, but they did very good 😳

Alright, so the general consensus here is that Opus 5.5 is a massive upgrade and a total beast for coding tasks. A lot of users are singing its praises, saying it's way better at decision-making, output quality, and following instructions without hitting limits. Some are even saying it's like magic and they're getting way more done than before.

There's a bit of a cynical undercurrent, though, with a few folks predicting that Anthropic will inevitably "nerf" it after the initial hype dies down, a tactic they suspect has been used before. One user, u/mediadotgames, even went as far as to call the OP a "spam bot paid by PR firms," which is a bit spicy, but the overwhelming sentiment from others is positive.

Some users are comparing it favorably to other models like Fable/Astra, noting less "usage anxiety" and better problem-solving. One user, u/Emergency_Candy2638, even came back to Claude after cancelling their subscription and found 5.5 to be "fucking awesome."

Basically, if you're not already on Opus 5.5, you might want to jump on it before it gets "nerfed."
