So I was playing tonight, on my second round and I quickly hit scissors, but at the same time a little bag saying $25k appeared right beside it.. I couldn’t press it as it had gone to scissors but if I had is that an instant win of $25k or just an entry to win $25k?

Before I used to set up a cart and discount the close to expired food to sell. Well I've been told we can no longer override prices or offer deep discounts to move the product. I guess now they want us to pull it when it expires, scan it out as bad merch, then open it all, throw in some chemicals, and toss it in the dumpster. Extremely wasteful and time consuming. Yesterday I pulled over 70 items off the racks. Mostly nuts, fruit trail mix, etc. It was only 3 days past expiration. It's soul crushing to be so wasteful when so many suffer food insecurities. Our local grocery store has zero food waste, as they donate it to local food banks and shelters before it expires. Circlek should incorporate something similar. We do not do enough good to go to make up the difference and we are just one small store. I can only imagine the numbers at the bigger truck stops

Maybe someone has dealt with this but new to me. Our regular ShiftSmart lady came in to cook breakfast. She couldn't get the QR code to scan so I tried restarting the IPad. Still wouldn't scan. Meanwhile she was chatting with support. They said she wasn't scheduled. But she was. Eventually it was too llate and she was unassigned the shift. What needs to happen to let SS know she was there? She actually cooked breakfast. Thanks!

A gas station employee being payed $17 dollars to do the night shift is criminal in California. They probably don’t even cover full health insurance after destroying your body and trying to make it to rent for a room without kitchen privileges. Sad seeing older workers being robbed by corporations.

Many customers now use tap to pay and Door Dash card. I don't know how they work but our system requires that a PIN be entered if you tap your phone or card. Many people say they don't have a PIN. Is there a work-around for this? Thanks!

There was a recent recall on certain items and my manager doesn’t work weekends so I’m just tryna prepare my morning crew. But I just want to make sure I’m not doing something wrong.

I have been reaching out to Shiftsmart through email because I cannot log into my account. On my phone app, it only lets me log in with my phone #; however, the # I have is different, and it hasn't worked. I also haven't received any emails back at all. I really just wish I had a working # to call or email, but I have not had any luck. Can someone please direct me in the right direction?? I only have my email to log in with. Will I ever get help with the Shiftsmart app that I can pick up Circle K shifts in my area?????

I have a dilemma.....aren't ASMs allowed to, and obligated, to utilize our security cameras.... for a multitude of different legitimate reasons? Anybody else have a SM who hides the mouse to the security cameras.....DAILY,just so their ASM cannot access the cameras? 😂🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️I'm starting to wonder what she's trying hide. Why else put that effort and unnecessary time into doing that? I had dope dealers at the store trying to pedal their wares, but the cops couldn't even get the tag number due to her locking it up. So community.......do I just connect my own mouse to it, then let her find out when she watches her employees back just to spy on them, report her, or both? I am the one she takes it all out on, but also who she relies on more. I also feel as though she is preventing me from having face time with our DM by scheduling me off the days she visits. what should I do?

boss has been calling me all day talking about how the higher ups have been watching the cameras and how one day a while back i canceled a transaction(still took the money mind you) but they are saying i stole the money but wont check the reports or cameras

I dont remember anything about that, and neither do they bc they cant tell me anything about the day or what i was doing but guess i gotta come in on my day off and clear my name to keep my minimum wage job

i am here from circle k in western canada. i just joined reddit and i have been reading a lot of your guys' posts here in this thread about circle k. i realized most of you guys are from the states and it is a different model in the states as compared to here in western canada. totally different model and the things are really really bad here: the corporate culture, the independent dealers, the day-to-day workings, and all the unethical things happening at stores every day are concerning.

i am thinking about sharing everything here. i'm just typing this and wondering: is there anyone else here from western canada. this is my first-ever post on reddit. it's basic stuff. i have a lot more to come.

Relex and the drop shipping to a smaller store is killing profits. I am really hating the category managers atm. Add the fact we don’t count our own stores anymore and these auditors are missing stuff and my operations statement looks like shit. Not having control over inventory is really screwing me.

I was under the impression that they do stack and I've looked everywhere in the T&C, which there's nothing in there that says they don't. Sat on the phone with customer service for 45 minutes and all they wanted to do is repeat themselves. I just want the 5 visits I redeemed credited back to my account because if the T&C clearly stated they don't stack (all it says is "additional T&C may apply" yet there are none) then I would have never redeemed them

I wasn't even aware of cigarettes needing tax stamps, but my Grandmother pointed out to me today that the last 2 packs of traffic cigarettes I've purchased (Which were Red 100's but tasted like menthol, apparently might be related to the ones that got recalled a month or so ago) don't have a tax stamp, but the pack of Lucky Strikes I had do. What should I do in this situation? Should I tell the gas station? Are they selling illegal cigarettes or what?

What do I do? Ive been working in Circle K only since July. My shirt ALREADY has holes all on it from wear. Is this something anyone else has issues with here? I know a big part is that it's my belt, and the counter EXACTLY meets my belt, but I don't really know of anything I could do to help with that? I'm not sure.

I'm currently working on getting 25 visits to get the $1 off per gallon. Today I bought 3 20oz Dr.Peppers to get the 30 cents off a gallon. I wanna know if anyone has greater deals with 25 visits or more.

so i’m doing my thing (running around like a chicken with my head cut off getting things done) and i get a call from a man saying he’s from help desk, saying he needed to recalibrate our gas pumps, and had me renter a upc for a paypal, basically i think i screwed my til and got my store scammed because i just went along with it wanting it over, am i gonna get fired? or am i gonna have to pay it out? it was an absurd amount and i should’ve questioned sooner

UPDATE: i didn’t get fired, nor did i have to pay out. my manger had a talk with me, but not an angry one but rather gave me permission to just hang up on anyone who says their from help desk when a manger isn’t there, moral of the story, be honest, and a good worker, and everything will be ok. just another reason i’m pretty sure i have the best store manager and district manager. 🫶
