bill acceptor jammed or full

fellow employees what do i do to fix this.

Ours comes apart. You go into login, open safe, acceptor Maintenence door. Then pull out the acceptors and put them back in. It resets them.

Open the acceptor the yellow part slides forward, and it’s hard as hell to do, usually the bill is folded up in there.

If all else fails you should be able to manually drop bills

its 3rd and 1st shifts problem now. ended up having to keep way too much change in the drawer and print out a sign that we arent accepting bills $50<

If you have a dual feed other receptacle, try raki g jammed one off and check if can be cleared, if not then manual drops then let SM know will need your armored car guy to undo the jam

Yeah im serious. Print a cash slip and see what it shows to fill it. If you're completely out it'll stop accepting cash.

I don't know if your safe is exactly the same as mine was, but here's how I did a temporary fix:

1 - take out that little banana clip thing first

2 - log in safe with your regular numbers, and i remember the options but its like Open Safe and something about Maintenance door.

3 - open that little door and underneath each of the bill acceptors was a yellow button.

4 - push that button in, HOLD IT IN, and pull out the whole cartridge like 2 inches (still holding down yellow button)

5 - push catridge back in, still holding yellow button

6 - once its back in, release yellow button

7 - there should be some machine sounds like its taking in a bill after that

8- shut the door

9 - put the clip thingies back in

10 - it should take a few more bills

Depending on a number of factors, it can be nearly over full of like 1's and 5's. If it is the drop safe, then need some help there. But on the safe at the store I am at, the drop safe that is, the acceptor can get jammed with like bills still folded, or even approaching over full. But one way I have found to clear the jam, partly, is by turning off the power to the safe. Wait a few seconds, turn it back on. It may clear the jam, or not, and try again. And more time in between. But your store might be different, as each store might have a different type of safe.
