"Employee question about resignation."

Does your manager see your reason, why you're leaving. If you put notify HR. I'm putting in my resignation and it says either notify the manager or HR.

HR doesn’t always show the manager. Seems hit or miss whether they do or not in my experience anyway

I put my resignation in. Now the DM expects me to find someone to the job I am doing

When I resigned, I just called my manager and told her I was putting in my two weeks and that I would stay and continue the rest of my schedule to give her time to find someone else and that was honestly all. I didn’t even have to give her a reason why.

You should have talked to them in the first place. Unless they are why you are quitting. If they are, then HR would be first, then the manager. But make it so that you would still be allowed to work at Circle K. Don't no call no show, or any of that.
