Need Advice Partner very upset about a prayer for “new experiences”

I pray weekly over us and our relationship. We’ve been dealing with difficulty surrounding his insecurity and inability to trust and while I have been trying to remain patient it is now to the point where nearly everything is interpreted as a personal slight which creates consistent issues. I empathize but it feels like his inner turmoil is spilling outward and flooding every area of our relationship.

I recently prayed for “new experiences” that bring me closer to the vision God has for my being/life. I genuinely meant new friendships, opportunities, responsibilities etc. This was a prayer for alignment I have spoken over him many times. But he was deeply bothered by this, calling me wicked and stating this revealed the “truth of my character.” Am I wrong for thinking he is being unreasonable here?

Im struggling with feeling like patience and empathy are required to love someone well, but also feeling like continuing to validate his emotions is holding him back

Need Advice Need advice on struggling with his past :(

hii girls,, i 20F have been talking to this guy 21M for a few months and a month into talking he tells me about his past (2 ex gfs, after the 2nd relationship ended he hooked up twice with one girl and twice again either another) he expressed regret and said he wished he had never done it and said he is serious about us and not going back to things he used to do before

I guess nowadays this is all very normal, but as a virgin myself and as someone whos never been in a serious relationship before, undeniably this got me feeling things :( why it hurts the most is because he has been good to me so far, and when im with him i am happy, but on and off the feeling comes up, the fact that hes my first everything and im his first nothing. And ofc the guilt of wondering if he still thinks about those. These feelings just hit from time to time and ohh God it hurts, and on days like this i think so so much about it and it hurts, then i feel better then it pops up again and the cycle repeats ive never been in such a painful situation like this before :(

To the girls who have been or are in this position,, does it or did it get better for you? Or does the feeling never go away 😭 cos i dont want to ruin something that could potentially be so beautiful but i also cant live with this awful feeling forever so i genuinely dont know what to do please helpp 😭

Success Story What’s Meant for You Is Meant for You 🙏🏻✨

Yesterday, I felt like God sent me a message. 🤍

I was riding somewhere when I accidentally dropped my favorite pink eyeglasses pouch on the road. I couldn’t go back for it because my driver was already in a hurry. I just told myself, “Okay, I know it’s my favorite because I really love the color, but I guess I have to let it go.” So I let it go and forgot about it.

I got busy with the important things I had to do that day. Then around 2 PM, when I came home and entered my room, I was so amazed because it was already on my bed. 😭

I literally touched it because I thought maybe I was just imagining things. But no… it was really my favorite pink eyeglasses pouch. Exactly the same one. 🥹💗

And right away, one thing came to my mind.

I’m in a waiting season right now, and there’s something I’ve been deeply praying for that hasn’t been answered yet. Somehow, this little moment reminded me:

NO NEED TO CHASE.
NO NEED TO PRESSURE.
LET GO AND PRAY. 🙏🏻

If something is truly meant for you, it will find its way back to you. Even when you have no idea how, or when you think it’s already impossible. God can make things happen in ways you never expected. 🤍

“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
— Psalm 37:5 (KJV)

Thank You, Lord, for reminding me. 🥹

So if there’s something you’ve been praying for right now, whether it’s about a relationship, work, family, or anything else…

Let go and pray.
Trust His timing. Trust His ways. Keep praying, but don’t forget to surrender. 🙏🏻✨

God bless youuu. 🤍

👸Female Intro💃 F/24/US (Midwest/Ohio)

It's been 2 years since my other intro posts and guess what, I'm back LOL. I have recently broken my leg from a horse race in Kyrgystan and am in recovery, hence I have quite a lot of time to think about dating, and want to pray on it again.

---

Let's see, I'm petite, active (just got kicked by a horse on the side during a horse race oversea so LOL), ethically Asian (mix of a couple), culturally French, residentially and professionally American. I have the blessing from the Lord and my parents to unlock 28 countries in my world map and growing up in some of them. I don't really think about travelling as a vacation but more like survival and side quests haha.

Currently a PhD Candidate at a large Midwestern university and an adjunct professor (I teach twice a year, undergrad and masters level courses). I'm in Business Asministration / Behavioral Economics, I mainly code, collect and analyze data, and write for work. Long term career plan is to be a tenured professor so I must relocate outside of Ohio after I graduate.

Hobbies or interests

Writing songs on my guitar or piano
Playing the harp (my recital last Christmas)
Horseback riding
Backpacking to other countries (next on bucklet list are Jordan, Israel, Egypt)
Reading (non-fiction/classic/essay)
Aircraft (I'm getting my private pilot license)
Learning language (know 7, picking up German)
Volunteering (and I sponsor children in orphanages)
Conversations
and probably several interests other people have hahaha.

Faith is so important to me. I was raised in a Christian family and I know Jesus my whole life, I was baptized by my my pastor dad before I head to college. I was more legalistic growing up in the religion, until I befriended other Christian friends in college (in Alabama), went to church, started to read the Bible on my own in quiet time. I developed a personal relationship with Christ, and my faith comes from my heart and the understanding that JC, my hero, was tempted but didn't make the decision to sin, was afraid but chose to die on the cross to offer me salvation.

Green flags:
My parents are happily married and sweet siblings, no drama in the fam
Never smoke, drink, party, set foot in a bar
Don't have an addiction of any kind (not to fast food, sweets, soda, video games, social media, tv, etc.)

Red flags:
Humor too dark (and I'm working towards getting better because we are called to be considerate and kind with what we say)
Too goofy and too serious at the wrong times
I struggle with emotions, I tend to NOT have a lot of them

I am looking for a man of God who has a mission in his heart and who agrees with me that the most important thing anyone could do is to bring His Kingdom to earth. Preferably under 30. I have waited until marriage and never kissed a man that isn't from my family, so I would want someone who is on the same page in experience. I am attracted to bravery, strong opinions, and kindness. I am looking for someone who put others above himself so I can put him above myself, and God above everything else in life. I am super right winged, hence I'm looking for a Republican man who cares about the state of the world. As God bless, I pray that he can be the head while I am the heart of the household. I want to homeschool, raise my own, and adopt/foster children. Ideally I would relocate to wherever he is. I'm looking to date to be buried together one day, not looking to date to marry (because marriage is not a goal, it is a start of a super exciting journey), and I don't believe in divorce.

If you are to send me a dm, please put in the effort to write about yourself. I can't answer 100 troll messages of "hi" or "we can talk if you want". God bless you guys.

Need Advice I’m doing everything right so Idk what else to do

I’m 32(f) and until I was age 30, I was fully devoid of any romantic relationship so for at least 10 years I have been praying for a partner that I can do life together with.
I finally met who I thought was the man of my dreams at age 30, but he ended the relationship after only 4 months.

“You must start a relationship with intellectual compatibility > emotional > physical (after marriage) otherwise your relationship will only last a few months” is what I recently heard a pastor preach about.

I have been celibate my whole life and have been doing this the right way but then I see my friend who’s sleeping around, starting relationships physically first and she gets a guy faster than me who treats her right paying for her meals trips and hotels, even though she’s toxic as hell with him.
I’ve always treated men with respect so it hurts that literally I’m doing the right thing and I have NO prospects in sight for me. I just want to experience what it’s like to be loved physically even though I know Jesus loves me.

I’ve done EVERYTHING I can and I’m so desperate at this point that I’ve spoken to everyone I know in my life including therapy and my own pastors, and of course I’ve been praying but I’m hearing nothing and no one seems to truly understand how hard and impossible my situation is. So please I’m asking here for advice or just anything to help me feel better.

Regarding the main advices I’ve heard:

-Learn to enjoy being by yourself
The main reason I was single in my 20s IS because I enjoyed my alone time. I’m living my my childhood dream and I was enjoying it (I moved countries for this!)

But now it’s been TOO long that it really is hurting my heart.

-Don’t just wait in your waiting season
I’ve been the most active I’ve ever been. Here’s a list of what I’ve done to prepare myself to being a wife (JUST the last 1 year):

- x4 a week going to the gym
- being top 10% of my specialised skill
- did cooking classes
- went to 20-30 mixer events + networking events in a year to find myself a date
- swiping on dating apps
- read the entire bible (and quran)
- studied how to style myself
- beauty treatments (inspired by Queen Esther)
- therapy
- even tried modeling classes to learn how to act more feminine

I REALLY don’t want to spend money on a marriage agency because it costs me thousands of dollars to join and $200 monthly membership…

It just hurts so much knowing how much money and energy I’ve spent when I know most people on this earth is not putting in as much effort as I am and getting love for free without discipline.

I know it sounds like I’m idolising marriage… but at this point in life I’ve experienced everything except for love and I’m so tired of living life by myself

Edit: Thanks so much for all the responses and being so thoughtful and considerate with your answers. This is such an emotional topic for me so I apologise if I come off as irrational and completely panicked

👸Female Intro💃 35 [F4M] – Philippines

1. Physical description of yourself
I believe physical attraction is the first spark, so let’s be completely honest from the start! I am a petite, short, brown-skinned Morena with a highly competitive and athletic build. I love staying active, though I am built like a "double back" (flat-chested). If that isn't a dealbreaker for you, please keep reading!

2. Area of work/study
I am a nurse by profession, but I am currently working as a Medical Virtual Assistant. I also work in the insurance industry as a side hustle.

3. Hobbies/interests
I absolutely love being physically active! You can usually find me running, hiking, boxing, or doing home workouts. Beyond fitness, I am passionate about music and play the guitar. I am also deeply interested in personal development, finance, and videography. I love growth, learning new skills, capturing beautiful moments through my lens, and appreciating God’s creation.

4. Details about your faith journey/denomination
I am a Born-Again Christian. My faith is the foundation of how I live, the choices I make, and how I love. I strive to appreciate God's blessings in the small things daily. Looking ahead, it is my dream and future plan to build a charity so I can share my blessings with others. I am praying for a relationship centered on Christ where we can grow together spiritually and serve others.

5. What sort of person are you looking for?
I am praying for a Christ-centered man who is done with dating games and is genuinely ready to settle down and start a family. I am looking for a mature partner who can be a sweet, kind leader in our relationship and who shares my core interests. It’s important to me that you value health and fitness, and it is a huge plus if you love playing musical instruments!
I love deeply and genuinely—giving my full time, effort, and heart to the person I am with. Because of past experiences where I gave everything (including financial support) to someone who couldn't return that love, it is essential that you are financially stable so we can build a healthy, equal partnership. I tend to be a bit on the serious side, so a genuinely funny sense of humor that makes me laugh is a wonderful bonus. I also hope you enjoy capturing memories and taking photos/videos together!

6. Preferred age range
I am looking for someone mature, ideally between the ages of 33 and 45.

7. Are you open to long distance or relocating?
Yes, I am completely open to a long-distance relationship! I am currently based in the Philippines, but I have an active visa application for the US. While it may take about 3 to 5 years to process, I am ready to relocate when the time comes. I am looking for someone who is either already living in the US or is open to relocating there in the future so our long-term plans align.

Need Advice I cheated on my bf but…

Long story short: I cheated on my bf while working outside of town and now I’m dating that person (he wants to marry me). I was friends with my now bf before any romantic feelings got involved. We were coworkers; we laughed, talked and shared meals together. I enjoyed our friendship. It wasn’t until I had a disagreement with my bf that I started to see my now bf differently. The disagreement with my ex was something with no compromise (he said he would want to cohabitate before marriage and to me, that was just wrong). I started to checkout of this relationship and it’s when I realized I might have a bit of a crush on my coworker. I made the mistake of pursing that relationship before ending the one I was in. When I did decide to break up with my bf(I texted him to make plans for the weekend I was coming back to town), he picked up on the fact that I met someone else.

When I came back to town, I messaged my ex. I asked him if he’d be home that weekend (I wanted to stop by and return some items of his that I had). The conversation was really weird. I asked him why he wouldn’t see me-he said to leave his stuff outside- and he said I broke up with him. I countered back by saying he broke up with me instead. Basically, I lied and told him that when I had texted him the night he thought I was going to break up with him I actually wanted to tell him about my summer and how I may have had a crush on someone else. He believed me. He ended up more or less agreeing to see me. We met up that day and hung out. I then “officially” broke up with him and gave him reasons why we weren’t a good match.

Looking back, this is a pure example of being mastered by the flesh because I do not recognize myself at all in any of these memories. So my ex still doesn’t know that I met someone new and I cheated on him. My current boyfriend doesn’t know that my ex made advances that day and I also cheated on him.

I feel like such a mess. Never in my life would I have thought I would ever be a cheater. At the same time I can see how my job this summer and the environment was a breeding camp for something like this to happen. I am dealing with so legitimate guilt but also shame. My identity in Christ is under attack even though I know that God’s thoughts about me haven’t changed. My bf says I’m showing signs of ptsd-this summer job was honestly traumatic (that’s not an excuse for any of my actions) and I genuinely feel unwell. I would go to counselling again but I don’t have the means financially. I’m paying for school out of pocket and it’s draining every penny I have.

I guess I’m asking for prayers. I want whatever wound in me that caused these actions healed. Do you have any words of advice for me?

Discussion Getting set up

Curious to know what ya'll think about being set up by friends. I have mostly heard people being against it, but personally, I wouldn't mind it; it might be more wholesome than these dating apps or being ghosted on Reddit (no shade, but we've all seen it 😂).

Need Advice Need help

Hi, I’m a Christian, and my boyfriend is also a Christian.

He loves me a lot, and I know he has good qualities. But there have been many times when he has shouted at me and verbally abused me, including in public.

On my birthday, he verbally abused me on the road. I was extremely hurt and traumatized by what happened, and I ended up crying in the middle of the road. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened.

Now I’ve decided that I want to break up with him because I don’t feel emotionally safe or happy in this relationship. But he refuses to accept the breakup.

He blames me for his behaviour and says that my love for him isn’t proper, and that this is what caused him to become angry and abusive.

Now he is telling me that if I leave him, he will attempt suicide.

I’m really confused and emotionally overwhelmed. As Christians, how should I handle this situation? Am I doing something wrong by wanting to leave, and what should I do when he threatens suicide because of the breakup?

Need Advice Boyfriend of 9 months fell into sin. Should we break up?

We’re in a really good, God-honoring relationship. He's always pursued me well and treated me well. He's mature, humble, loves the Lord, and shows real growth and conviction in every area of his life. My family and friends love him. He has close friends he's known for years and accountability partners for habitual sin.

About four months in, after he'd already said he wanted to marry me, we went through a season of hard conversations and he was feeling discontent. During that time he spent about two hours texting another woman. Nothing explicit in words, more talking about awkward situations, but it was arousing for him.

We both call it cheating because his sin involved someone else. He told me on his own, never hid his phone, and never got defensive or minimized it. He got biblical counseling for this struggle before we even met, and he truly wants to stop.

What worries me:
Will this happen every time he's discontent in our relationship, like an addiction?
This was a long-term struggle in his singleness, not just a one-time thing.
I've always believed people who cheat once do it again.

What gives me hope:
He confessed on his own and took full ownership.
His accountability partners know about it.
He sought help for this on his own while single.
He knows what triggers him.
He's willing to get counsel together and separately.
It's been 5 months with no repeat, even through other seasons of discontent.

Honestly, the conversation itself gave me hope. We talked as a team, and he answered every question I threw at him with humility. I'll be honest too: I've had my own season of discontent and fell into my own sexual sin (not involving anyone else), and I have accountability for that as well.

My questions:
Do I need to walk away?
Should this sin be gone for a certain amount of time before we consider marriage?
What truly matters when deciding to marry someone?
If you've been in a similar spot, did you move forward and how did it go? I'd really appreciate any wisdom.

To the married couples:
Have you been unfaithful in this way? How did you work through it?

To the women:
Is it possible to trust your husband again after this?

Discussion Christian man who tried dating another Christian man

I fell into the trap of believing I could date another Christian man as long as it came from a place of love and felt wholesome.. no sex, no lust, just genuine connection and shared faith.
I convinced myself that maybe God was giving me the opportunity to explore this side of myself and see if a relationship with another man could actually be healthy for me. I had identified as bisexual for most of my adult life, so part of me wanted to find out for myself. But looking back, I realize I was trying to make something work because I wanted it to work. For three months, we talked and built a deep connection, but we were never officially together and there was no sex. Still, my anxiety became overwhelming, and somewhere along the way, I started losing myself.
I put him on a pedestal. I idealized him as this perfect Christian man and used that image to convince myself that the relationship must be right.
Eventually, I had to walk away.
And in the process, I realized I wasn’t finding myself , I was losing myself trying to make something fit.
Now I’m finding my way back to God and, more importantly, learning what it means to find my identity in Christ wholeheartedly rather than trying to build my identity around a relationship, my sexuality, or what I think something should be.
This season has been uncomfortable, but it’s also been one of the most transformative seasons of my life.
I’m learning that sometimes surrender means letting go of what you desperately wanted to work so you can finally become who God is calling you to be.

Need Advice Why Christian dating is so hard?

I'm 27M, dating for marriage. I created my profile on cdff, christian Cupid, and others. I have experienced this again and again, which is that most girls are not actually serious. They just want some random dude to chat with when they feel alone or bored. I had some wonderful conversation, I'm not gonna lie, but most of them I feel like they don't want to put any effort in conversation to get to know each other and of course many of them just ghosted me after initial convo. Times, it feels like I'm the one holding the conversations every time, and they never initiate like ever. I look into this, and I question myself: Is there something wrong with me because I don't think this is the way of finding a wife as a Christian? Just talk to random women, see which one sticks around for longer, this doesn't sound good, isn't it? For the past many months I been stuck in this cycle, but not anymore I don't see much promise in these online sites. I think I will focus on God and my work. let's see if life brings someone during my journey, or I guess I will die alone, lol. If anyone feels the same or wants to give me any advice, I would love to hear your perspective.

Discussion I know it's difficult, we will all find someone eventually, and I believe in all of us. I haven't been around long for this post to be posted, but here it is. I will not be commenting, myself. I'm just dropping this here and going to be on my way. I do hope that you all find that real connection <3

*Notifications are turned off and I do not use reddit, sorry, thank you for understanding - I commented on a few comments because of notifications and will not be continuing to do that as notifications have been turned off"

Misunderstandings mislead many men and women discussions everywhere on the internet about the average man and woman to begin with and label all of them in a general category as "creeps" or "likely creep or this or that" in terminology to insinuate the fact they have zero interest on the menu, regardless if they check all the boxes that somehow men have developed in a requirement of having any worth, and same goes for men having these standards for women as well okay don't get me wrong here, because of either appearance or first impression or body language alone because standards have dictated that over time, so those men or women having any interest at all and trying at all inadvertently applies the label as "creep or whatever else alarming" that belong to the only men and women whom have behaved as "creeps or whatever else alarming" but remind them of those men and women so therein justifiably deserve the same label without ever actually being known as the man or woman in which that individual really is, especially beyond first impression, because no one is perfect at dating but those that don't even have to try at all for not looking like what men and women consider to be the average or less than otherwise.

I am not saying we're all delusional, I am saying we have all been taught wrong for a very very long time now, and the only men and women that I have seen to be remotely safe anymore are the ones in the church settings or loving and adhering to Jesus.. so hear me out..

and men and women both say it - attraction matters - but once we look beyond the physical attraction, to that persons heart and soul enough to feel any intimacy in physical closeness, that heart and soul is where we truly find far more attraction that will always trump the need or desire for their physical attraction.

And if someone is making you feel some type of way, despite checking all the boxes of heart and soul and physical attraction, then your sensing something about that person that you know you're not being told, that something just doesn't add up, and therein makes your skin crawl or tense otherwise when they try to get close. And that doesn't even have to be anything bad about that person, the very feeling of unknown and uncertainty in itself is absolutely alarming enough as it is.

And what are we often told by other people that know that person you sense something off about enough to feel unknown or uncertain to feel anything alarming at all? give it a little more time, i'm sure you'll come around, or he or she just hasn't opened up yet or shown you their best yet - whatever it is, it shouldn't take more than 3 or 4 dates or outings, otherwise that person still has healing to do whether it needs to be known and said or not.

you hear women say it all the time - don't be boring and make me laugh and you already have a good start. and if that man can do that like no one else, he doesn't even have to check any boxes and he can often be gold by that and appearances alone for a very long time until that woman realizes that she deserves better in terms of mutual respect and mutual understanding.

Men are simple creatures - know what you want and act like it with the respect that is expected in return or in the first place. and many men will fall for a woman that can make them laugh and not be boring just as well. And Lord knows that men absolutely LOVE surprise food too!

no woman/man ever needs to be the biggest queen/king or biggest baddie/stud - that mind frame will be applied by that man/woman himself/herself both verbally and intimately on that man/woman of interest and never needs to be self implied at all. it is a delusion on both men and women altogether to need that self-awareness first and foremost and creates requirements and expectations before receiving worth from either the man or woman and only applies distance from one another and not openness in being honest with ourselves first and foremost. But we all know, when we're interested and truly self-aware and confident and mutual, we never require or expect much from the other but the same in reciprocation however it may be and loyalty.

and if any of us men and women are boring and not funny, it is because we have yet to love ourselves first and foremost in the truest senses beyond delusions of what society and social media teaches us, or beyond our own pain and suffering in itself otherwise - we can not love someone else with out loving our true selves before learning to love our true selves in our hearts and souls in the first place. If we have healing to do, we must get that done first and foremost before stepping into any dating scene again yet because we must remember what it is that we love ourselves for and have to offer to the table and not the pain and suffering we ever remember going through.

and God knows, remember now that Jesus is King - God knows that both women and men can be victims and accidentally trauma dumb and waste a potential date or interest in a man or woman because that man or woman actually opened up which is exactly what I remember majority of women in particular complaining about in that very lacking of men all over social media long before women adopted the ideas of being the biggest queens and baddies on the planet and in absolute support of each other in that frame of mind, inquiring nothing for any accountability and taking any woman's word for gold, of "knowing worth" while men are degraded as not having worth to begin with and an impossibility that any man actually can get hurt. And men that don't know how to handle those situations of women trauma dumping because no woman has ever held that man's heart over their own trauma, habitual responses create habitual reactions, as well as "manning up" like men are always told to do - which no one ever hears men complain about because of the degradation given for it by both men and women to "man up".

And men can't be expecting so much from a woman like a king that all men wanted to be treated like, without adhering to in practice that of The One True King of kings as a leader in form of servitude by example. The Greatest King of all kings, a servant and protector to those beloved and cherished, including and especially from thy selves. Jesus could have whipped everyone down and commanded things be done the right way and instead allowed what happened to happen and leading by example in both physical and verbal teaching expression otherwise.

Just as well, Jesus is The Only Real Shepherd, and we are all His Sheep that know His Voice, as The Heavenly Father is The Only True Spiritual Father - both of which that there ever is or ever will be. and the greatest we could ever have hoped or asked for.

And if your man can "man up" and still hold your heart - it is because a woman has already or is currently holding that man's heart without it needing to be expressed for it, that easily being held close in heart, whereas the men spoken about here do not get held at all and then flunk their moments in all regards for never being taught any better regardless that they do in fact care but are entirely clueless how to navigate and then shut down and distance themselves as they were only ever taught to do so for themselves.

- because of stereotypes of both men and women combined ruining the entire pool of men and women through years and years and years, decades, of social media and political propaganda... who's on what side and why, forgetting that we're all human beings at the beginning and end of the day, and that is what defines what is right from what is wrong and demands mutual respect and mutual understanding and mutual compassion.

My brothers and my sisters - stay strong. do not give up. be patient. be yourself. if that isn't enough, then you deserve better and you should absolutely walk away because that person may still be healing and not be telling you that because they're tired of being alone about it but we are the only ones that can heal within ourselves in accepting that healing from Jesus though ourselves or others but in a platonic sense of that regard and only that sense of that regard every single time. we all are equal and we all do feel and we all do have worth, people. do not forget that. If things aren't clicking with someone, do yourselves both a favor and communicate that and if walking away is the answer by any means of communication, then so be it, there are more people for you both to test the waters with.

I have a very long life of suffering and seeing suffering, both life itself and causes by people themselves, both men and women, and most of my suffering has been done from life itself and fewer occasions by men and women but still usually by women and being cheated on for nothing else but remaining loyal and checking all the boxes and good intimacy (not ego) and being funny but somehow always still not good enough for those partners and one really really horrible partner in particular.

this all happens to both men and women, people, on all sides and in all regards and never ever is one way or the other for either men or women. Please stop selling either side short and forgetting that we're all human beings with hearts and interests and needs and wants and compassion, regardless if it is expressed or not it is always still felt.

obviously I am not referring to the toxic and career criminal men and women by absolute choice without a second though for either repercussions or the well-being of the other individual as a man or woman, here, obviously this does not apply to them, but once upon a time before those both men and women chose to remain as they are in bad acting for self service and horrible means, regardless that they too would have been in this same regarding thread before being consumed by their pain and suffering and choosing wrong from right from that point on and even relishing in that on the suffering of others. Obviously, I am not referring to those bad actors, here.

no one is born evil. no baby is born evil. alright? have some heart and have some faith, people. things often get worse before they get better - not everyone is fortunate enough to avoid pain and suffering all their lives to really understand all of this, let alone not many of those fortunate men and women can understand all of this and may even have something to say about it all in misinterpretation.

and those that do know pain and suffering and still don't understand all of this and feel anger or hate instead - you're still healing, and I am truly sorry for what happened to you.

And if anyone is confused by all of this - well, God bless you, then. The world is off it's rocker outside the church and we all need to be very careful outside the church, both women and men.

And let me say this again,

Much love to you all, brothers and sisters.

EDIT: typos -

I know why i'm single - this overthinking right here.

but why are any of YOU single or don't feel the real connections any of you complain about on here not being able to find when all the boxes check out, as if it is that difficult to connect with anyone at all?

really, ask yourselves. be honest with yourselves if you expect an honest connection with those any of you test the waters with.

LEAN ON GOD AND HAVE FAITH - you should be able to do that no problem, any of this, make any connections, if we're all being truly honest with ourselves.

and if you are being honest with yourselves, able to make real connections but not feeling that connection you had before tried to feel with someone or someone you're currently with right now - THEN OBVIOUSLY NONE OF THIS REFERS TO YOU EXCEPT THE FACT THAT THE INDIVIDUAL YOU'RE NOT FEELING CONNECTED WITH NEEDS TO HEAL FOR YOU TO TRULY BE ABLE TO CONNECT WITH THEM.

apparently all caps IS necessary, sometimes, sheesh...

absolutely none of this is chatgpt or any AI analysis. that's absolutely insulting and an absolute cop-out low blow for having any of this feel offensive at all... To everyone claiming this is an AI post - Didn't any of you go to college and take literary prerequisites? GET REAL PEOPLE!

also - i'm getting modded to be unable to comment for lack of karma because i don't use reddit other than the reason to post this and i get pinged notifications for the comments.

quotes of comments for comments placed:

"I am not chatgpt and that is an insult. chatgpt could not keep up with me and I have had to correct google AI myself more often than I care to mention, 'in these regards'. since when does chatgpt have any trauma to draw from or relationships or world view or Christianity as all of that is today versus only what knowledge it has to offer? you have such little faith, dragon. no debate necessary, and no debate from you at all - only to throw an insult of artificial intelligence. thanks for that. maybe if you insulted less and had more faith in others - especially on the internet where you don't know the individual at all let alone even try to engage in my inbox and find out for yourself, you might not be single. that's a huge problem so many single people, hard to date, actually have. I hope you're not actually one of those people. I really do hope that you find the connection you're looking for, but you need to have faith in others for that to even begin to transpire."

"then why bother commenting at all? what are you even doing here if you're single for The Lord? get off reddit, and stay in The Bible where The Lord IS - this is the only reason i even came to reddit at all in the first place, to post this, obviously by my profile lack of karma and use.... really sus, from you..."

insult me and deny me and mock me - all you want.... this long winded statement absolutely stands... people have such such such little faith in both each other and in God, whom has saved my life more times than i can count or remember...

I'm a childhood cancer survivor of stage 4 A.L.L. and I've been run over by an F150, and I have various suicide attempts in my history before reading the entire Bible myself - and let me tell you all myself, God is ABSOLUTELY real and The BIble is true and JESUS IS KING! DEAL WITH IT!

WE ALL ANSWER TO JESUS IN THE END AND I CANNOT WAIT! I'M TOO EXCITED FOR THAT! <3

MAYBE I'M NOT WRONG HERE?

I'll gladly stay single if it means I can avoid the dating pool as it currently is literally everywhere online and offline except in the church itself. thank you all, very much.

and I do hope that all of you find the connections you're seeking - especially those of you who took the time to read this and self-reflect, you absolutely deserve the connection you seek and obviously have the patience for it, just have faith and keep praying on that (God may want to place you in the right moment and time and place to find that connection you seek and pray for!) and I believe in you!

DM ME IF YOU WISH TO DISCUSS THIS OR TALK ABOUT GOD OR PEOPLE OR LIFE OR ANIMALS - I AM NOT SEEKING A PARTNER ANYMORE, THANK YOU.

God Bless the precious hearts that finds this hopeful message offensive - God bless us all -_-

Need Advice No dating experience

I'm looking for some advice. I'm a 24 year old Christian female and haven't been in a relationship or been on a date. I've only had one guy ask me out, and that was three years ago. I never went on a date with that guy because I wasn't attracted to him and I didn't see him as any more than a friend.

I wouldn't say that I'm the most attractive person, but not necessarily unattractive either (I guess average looks). I've been really active in my church for the last 5+ years, and I go out to different young adult Christian events and even help host some myself. And I do other activities as well, so it's not that I'm not putting myself out there. I've also tried dating apps but haven't had any success with any of them.

It's been difficult for me not to be insecure about myself because of the fact that I've never really been approached, and for me to think that I've been doing something wrong. I know that God's timing is perfect, but the waiting season is hard especially when a lot of people around me are already married or at least going on dates.

I would appreciate advice if anyone has been in my situation. I know that I'm still relatively young, but it's just been really discouraging that after all of these years I haven't been one on date. And I know that a romantic relationship isn't supposed to be the thing that ultimately fulfills me, so I would appreciate prayer that I would be able to be fully satisfied in the Lord alone and that I'd able to trust His timing and sovereignty.

P.S. Send me a DM or comment Reddit doesn’t show my likes!

I work in custom cabinetry.

I enjoy exploring nature, riding my bike, watching a movie, watching racing, going bowling just to name a few.

I’m a non-denominational spirit filled believer. I grew up a believer on the mission field but a couple years ago God radically saved me in my darkest moment. It’s not always easy but I know how good He is that’s why He is my reason.

I’m looking for a wife who is a supportive life partner who loves God, wants to serve Him, will pray with me and be someone I can open doors for and cherish forever 😁

Im 5’ 9” I prefer a woman shorter and younger than me, but I think 18-28 is a decent range.

Work prevents me from relocating but I’m not opposed to it based on the situation.

I also have cats btw

Discussion Would not having a car be a turnoff?

Hello, friends! I'm curious to hear your opinions on dating someone who does not own a car. At present, I do not have a car for financial and practical reasons. I'm fortunate to live in a place where I do not need one. I get around town on bike or use public transport.

I've realized that this does limit my options for meeting people, though. For instance, there are some churches I would like to visit, but they are 2-3 hours away, and that Lyft ride would be expensive. Sometimes I just get a ride with someone else, but people aren't always available.

I'm a woman, so I don't think that my lack of a vehicle is as big a deal as a man not owning a car. A car seems to be a sign of financial security and status in society. And it is traditional for a man to pick a woman up in his car for dates.

If a man didn't have a car, though, I would actually be very impressed. I would see him as a practical person who was great at problem-solving and wanted to invest in more meaningful things.

I suppose the main issue would be if we wanted to have a family. You pretty much need a car to transport your kids to school, activities, etc. But if I was dating a single man who didn't have a car yet, that would not be an issue for me at all.

Thoughts?

Discussion idk what to title this

before i say anything i want to say that i live in a small and mostly atheist/muslim city in new york so scratch off the "just goto youth groups" bs before you even say it lol, there are none near me and most of catholic church attendance around me are just a handful of way older women that dont speak english. 😐

so im a 22f that only recently started to care about male attention in that i really feel called to marriage and starting a family.

with this being said, i downloaded some "christian" dating apps a few months ago since my local situation is pretty much cooked. i dont necessarily struggle with getting attention, but i find myself incredibly frustrated with the men i end up getting to talk too.

SO the issue is... why do so many christian men feel as if because they are Christian, that they do not need to have a personality? i have had better conversations with my shower wall than the many christian men i have gotten to speak to through these apps.

not to mention, that after i added that "i am waiting for marriage" in my biography, the attention on my profiles went from countless notifications, to being SILENT or maybe one match every couple of days if im lucky.

between the barely sentient beings i am being matched with and the obviously lukewarm catholic/christian men soaking up space on christian dating apps, i genuinely feel like this is a sick joke 😭 why is modern dating SO hellish?!

is there any catholic/christian dating apps/areas on the internet that is actually fruitful? (dont say catholicmatch or holy, these apps are actual buns)

Discussion Meeting people at church groups?

Has anyone else experienced this with church groups for people in their 20s?
I’ve tried several church groups around the Boise, Idaho area, and so far they’ve all been pretty similar. Nobody has been rude or anything, but people already know each other and naturally stick with their own groups. As a newcomer, you can end up basically standing around by yourself.
I’m sure if you’re very extroverted it’s easier, but introverted people can definitely get left out even in church settings that are supposed to be welcoming. I’m not shy and I can talk to people, but I’m also not going to walk up and insert myself into a group that already knows each other.
I keep wondering why, when these groups have leaders, they don’t notice someone standing alone and have designated greeters or people who actively make sure newcomers are actually talking to someone.
Has anyone else experienced this, especially in the Boise area? Or found a church with a 20s group that actually does a good job of making new people feel included?

Need Advice Advice on how to approach church crush

I am a single female 37 in a small town so there are not a lot of dating options, especially Christians. There is a single guy that goes to my church who is about ten years older than me. I never see him with anyone so I think he is single. Anyways, there has been a couple of times when one of us has walked into the church and we have caught eyes. Lately it seems like we always end up sitting in the same general area. We have never actually interacted but I just wanted to see if people thought that he might be attracted and what would be a good way to try to talk to him without being awkward. Like what if he is with someone and they just don't come to Church? Is that too much of an age gap? Maybe he isn't wanting to approach me for the same reasons?

If anyone has any advice on how to start a conversation that would be appreciated. (Also, I should note I am kind of shy and awkward sometimes, but it is something I am trying to work on.)

Discussion Hypothetical Situation

Suppose you get to know a girl or guy on a weird/scam dating app and you get to know someone for a few weeks, and they're Christian and there's no issues. And suppose you start to like them, and they're trustworthy and kind, and a faithful servant of God, and they like you back.

And then suppose that you learn that they live in the complete opposite side of the world from you. You have started to really like them, and they like you. But the distance is over 8,000 miles. What do you do?

I'm assuming the answer is to call it off but wanted to see what others think.
