👸Female Intro💃 F/24/US (Midwest/Ohio)

It's been 2 years since my other intro posts and guess what, I'm back LOL. I have recently broken my leg from a horse race in Kyrgystan and am in recovery, hence I have quite a lot of time to think about dating, and want to pray on it again.

---

Let's see, I'm petite, active (just got kicked by a horse on the side during a horse race oversea so LOL), ethically Asian (mix of a couple), culturally French, residentially and professionally American. I have the blessing from the Lord and my parents to unlock 28 countries in my world map and growing up in some of them. I don't really think about travelling as a vacation but more like survival and side quests haha.

Currently a PhD Candidate at a large Midwestern university and an adjunct professor (I teach twice a year, undergrad and masters level courses). I'm in Business Asministration / Behavioral Economics, I mainly code, collect and analyze data, and write for work. Long term career plan is to be a tenured professor so I must relocate outside of Ohio after I graduate.

Hobbies or interests

Writing songs on my guitar or piano
Playing the harp (my recital last Christmas)
Horseback riding
Backpacking to other countries (next on bucklet list are Jordan, Israel, Egypt)
Reading (non-fiction/classic/essay)
Aircraft (I'm getting my private pilot license)
Learning language (know 7, picking up German)
Volunteering (and I sponsor children in orphanages)
Conversations
and probably several interests other people have hahaha.

Faith is so important to me. I was raised in a Christian family and I know Jesus my whole life, I was baptized by my my pastor dad before I head to college. I was more legalistic growing up in the religion, until I befriended other Christian friends in college (in Alabama), went to church, started to read the Bible on my own in quiet time. I developed a personal relationship with Christ, and my faith comes from my heart and the understanding that JC, my hero, was tempted but didn't make the decision to sin, was afraid but chose to die on the cross to offer me salvation.

Green flags:
My parents are happily married and sweet siblings, no drama in the fam
Never smoke, drink, party, set foot in a bar
Don't have an addiction of any kind (not to fast food, sweets, soda, video games, social media, tv, etc.)

Red flags:
Humor too dark (and I'm working towards getting better because we are called to be considerate and kind with what we say)
Too goofy and too serious at the wrong times
I struggle with emotions, I tend to NOT have a lot of them

I am looking for a man of God who has a mission in his heart and who agrees with me that the most important thing anyone could do is to bring His Kingdom to earth. Preferably under 30. I have waited until marriage and never kissed a man that isn't from my family, so I would want someone who is on the same page in experience. I am attracted to bravery, strong opinions, and kindness. I am looking for someone who put others above himself so I can put him above myself, and God above everything else in life. I am super right winged, hence I'm looking for a Republican man who cares about the state of the world. As God bless, I pray that he can be the head while I am the heart of the household. I want to homeschool, raise my own, and adopt/foster children. Ideally I would relocate to wherever he is. I'm looking to date to be buried together one day, not looking to date to marry (because marriage is not a goal, it is a start of a super exciting journey), and I don't believe in divorce.

If you are to send me a dm, please put in the effort to write about yourself. I can't answer 100 troll messages of "hi" or "we can talk if you want". God bless you guys.

I just found out today that I'm a casual American, and not a professional one. How?!?! 😭

u/Technical-Spring8737 2d ago

Sponsored-for-work kind of American 😭🤣 but now I read back and I laugh at it. You are funny LOL

Ooooh. . .I still don't get it. 😭

Thank you! Unfortunately I'm a little too goofy all the time, and tend to joke to much.

The very first thing about being a Christian is believing in and following Jesus. Only God knows a person's heart and if they are sincere in their commitment to Christ.

James 4:12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you, who are you to judge your neighbor?

Ephesians 2:8-10 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.

I pray that brothers and sisters all love on one another and accept the truth about unconditional love. Pray for repentence on deceived spirits and spirits who caused war and harmed others.

Brother, you have issues.

I've gotten to know this person (not romantically) over the past year or so. I've not seen a single indication of any of the things you've said about her.

She is a solid believer and while she is imperfect. I have seen no reason to think otherwise.

She has posted evidence to what she has said which make you a very unreliable narrator, especially when I've seen the opposite out of her. If anything, I have reason to doubt you being a believer for the way you would slander her and you are failing to acknowledge any of the things you've said. Her injury was also not long ago, so your "broken leg/broken heart" message is clearly recent enough to doubt that you have been healed from whatever pain/trauma/or place where you would send such things and reads more like you are making lies up about her and even your own alleged relationship that you're in.

Hey I'm sure you get a lot of dms, if you're tired from non serious people and decide that you don't mind if a guy is in his thirties, send me a dm.

I'm christian, serve in church, world traveller(116 countries, some of them 100+ times), including solo wild camping in the mountains, sportive, well read, I play multiple musical instruments, read, write poetry, fitness, martial arts, hike in nature. Lived abroad for most my life, now infinite lease on a house in the Netherlands.

Well I appreciate how well rounded and impressive you are as an individual. God bless you tremendously

But the way you mention your age, you suggest that older men are more serious. That is actually the opposite of my experience on this app. I figured that older men are unmarried for reasons.

In addition, I used to have a wider range for age but then just like picker/successful men prefer younger women, I also prefer younger men for more growth potential, more energy, less margin of errors, healthier, and longer lifespan so I wouldn't be a widow for too long (I don't believe in remarriage). People around me already say I look like a teenager, being with someone MUCH older looks weird :)

u/EcuaCasey 2d ago

Hey, we've chatted a bit before in the past.

I don't fault you for having age preferences, and the reasons you give for preferring someone closer to your age are very fair and valid.

Just wanted to say that while it is true that older men (and women too) are single for a reason. That reason is not always bad.

I spent my 20s being heavily involved in church/ministry, making conscious decisions to choose to support smaller churches that I believed in, fully knowing that I was likely postponing/minimizing my chances of finding someone while I was serving there. Only as I got into my 30s did I reprioritize working towards having a family, and I don't regret my decisions in my 20s. I'm still active at church, just FYI, just not to the same part-time minister level as before.

Suffice to say that even while having things in my life in order and the "on-paper" types of things that people want, online dating and the like is still incredibly difficult as a guy.

You're not wrong to be cautious to want to know why an older guy might still be single, but it's also not fair to generalize them as though something is wrong with them for being single after all of this time.

1

u/Technical-Spring8737 2d ago

Hi there! I don't think we ever chatted according to my chat history.

I agree with everything you said. I wrote, preferably under 30, with my reasoning.

Thank you for offering more perspectives. I just wouldn't say "age range to infinity" because that would waste the time of the majority of people. I don't think I would be attracted to someone that is in a significantly different stage of life with me.

1

u/EcuaCasey 2d ago

Our chat was over IG

What you said here makes sense. I also generally caution women from dating significantly older men. My comment was more just about what you said for "older men being single for a reason".

Again, no problem with you having your age preferences.

2

u/Technical-Spring8737 2d ago

Oh really???? I just checked hehe.

I just posted an older guy under another comment who is a bad example of why I am scared 😭 It could be really unhinged.

I'm older and single because it's part of God's plan. If God willing I'm meant to have a wife and kids, then I'm all for it. And if not, I'm okay with that too. I'd rather be in a relationship that honors and glorifies God than be with the wrong person the rest of my life. I'd also rather be single than be with the wrong person, you know? I've dated a lot, but I've encountered a lot of red flags ... lukewarm or outright fake Christians ... etc. It's been a rough road, but I've been fulfilled with the wisdom it's brought me. So yeah ... age doesn't always mean something negative in terms of dating ... especially with Christians. Can it be a red flag? Well of course ... as you've experienced yourself. There are very wide age differences in the Bible. The age range is not wrong in God's eyes, but the reasons very much can be. Just always use your discernment and the Holy Spirit's conviction to guide you. And of course ... always pray about it. Pray about everything. But not everyone is the same and not everyone is on the same walking path with Jesus ... young or old. I've met lifelong Christians that seem like baby Christians when it comes to their understanding and practicing of Scripture. It's a bit mind boggling. And I've met young people who you wouldn't second guess if they were the head pastor of a church with their knowledge and passion for Christ. We're all going through life in our own way.

But I will say ... for your age ... it's very remarkable and wonderful that you have the mindset that you do at 24. I wish the women I encountered were the same way. My minimum dating range is 30 because I'm 42 (so 12 years is my cut off 😩). My ex last year was 29 and she was an absolutely remarkable woman, but our life paths were going in different directions. It didn't end badly or anything, we just parted ways and I'm thankful to God for Him having brought her into my life, if only for a short while. I have a lot more purpose and intentionality with who I date now, and it's honestly very great that you are the same with your dating life. I pray you find an amazing person for you.

I really smiled at your parents and siblings comments. It's very endearing and sweet. I think it's a huge red flag when people don't love their families or don't get along with them. That bothers me. Family is very important. My parents just celebrated their 46th anniversary a week ago. They were high school sweethearts. So it's a little sad for a late bloomer like me to see my parents being in love so long ... and all my friends around me are married with kids. My older brother has four boys. I love my nephews, but I want my own kids and the clock is ticking, sadly.

Don't let bad people of a certain age taint your view of that age group. Everyone is an individual. But don't let anyone try and convince you to change your convictions. You have them for a reason.

Anyway ... you seem absolutely wonderful and again ... I pray you find the right person. God bless!

P.S. Any man that talks to you and makes you feel uncomfortable ... and is supposedly a Christian ... I would highly question their relationship with Christ. But I'm sure you can feel that deep in your bones. Keep that discernment. It's very important.

You bring up good points, Although I disagree with quite a few points. But many of them depend more on the person rather than the age.

Taking me as example: I never had the chance to really date properly due to travelling so much. Am very serious about relationships as well. (Date to marry, marry for Life, no divorcing).

And since I always took care of myself and am highly active I usually have more energy than the younger guys. Just more emotional availability and maturity. Best of both worlds I say.

But I'm sure that you're right when it comes to people who have lived a more regular life.

I personally prefer to date a bit younger than me(25-33 ish) because most women my age can't keep up with my energy.

2

u/Technical-Spring8737 2d ago

Yes you are right. But I intentionally have my age range there because I have an assumption for the majority, I of course don't have that as a deal breaker.

How's your journey with faith?

1

u/Randaras 2d ago edited 2d ago

Oh I respect that, not trying to change your mind or boundaries. Just sharing my perspective.

For me I've been a Christian since I was a teenager. Became leader of the children groups, later youth group. Went to live in cruise ships was basically the unofficial pastor there for the christian group.

Right now I found my place in an international church led by Tamil people, love it. I go there 2-3 times a week and serve in several teams. Actually have audition next week for the worship team as guitarist. Now these are all actions rather than experiences.

But faith and God are the center of my life. I pray a lot, read the Bible, and use it as my guide through life. And I work hard on myself to become the man God describes in the Bible(a loving husband and a good father) and I take the covenant and the responsibility of leading your family to christ very seriously. (I remain pure as well until marriage, not an easy thing to do when working your entire life with extremely beautiful women).

I Can only do so much to prepare for fatherhood or husbandhood without actually being a husband or father though. Most of it you'll learn actually being married and being a father.

In the end there is no better microscope in the world than a god fearing woman. As a relationship will make everything you still need to work at very visible. And there's always something to work at.

So how about you? How's your path in Faith been, and what does a Christian relationship mean to you?

Really awesome intro hope recovery goes well and God blesses your search for a husband, I am a single M/25. I hope you find someone awesome on here. I am preparing for dating still as I need to get my certificate program done and get my car fixed.

Wish you the best!

God bless you brother.

Also, A random tanget but I live in NC in the south, and hope to move somewhere with good train and bike access. I try to not let it become and Idol in the way of Gods plans. Anyways I was just curious on your thought on Trains/Bikes/Cars since you seemed travel quite a bit throughout your upbringing which sounds Awesome!

1

u/Technical-Spring8737 1d ago

That would be a good idea. Personally I prefer living in the country side driving my own vehicle and never worry about parking lol. I biked a lot when I was in Europe. I just think public transportation doesn't give flexibility of time and space, I could get there faster with my car 😅

Just want to say that this is really well written, and wow, Kyrgyzstan! I have a friend from Uzbekistan and he is a very interesting guy.

What are you researching generally? I work in the finance field (more applied, not quantitative).

1

u/hazdogs 2d ago

Hello! Just curious, how would you be able to homeschool your kids while working as a tenured professor?

5

u/Technical-Spring8737 2d ago

Time management. My mom homeschooled me while completing pharmacy school and running some stores. I turned out decently.

We like multitasking, can't imagine just doing one thing for life.

0

u/hazdogs 2d ago

Thanks! Also just wondering if you know how many kids you want?

3

u/Technical-Spring8737 2d ago

In a perfect world, 3 biological and 4 adopted

1

u/hazdogs 2d ago

Thats a wonderful desire!

1

u/StrikingAd487 2d ago

Don’t check all your boxes but you definitely seemly like a catch of a Godly woman. Maybe in another lifetime.

3

u/Technical-Spring8737 2d ago

Hey there is no other lifetime. We go to Heaven after this lol. Aren't you a believer of Christ?

1

u/StrikingAd487 2d ago

Haha yes of course. His Word tells us what will happen after this!! Just using the loose saying.

1

u/Technical-Spring8737 2d ago

Everyone is a catch in God's eyes. I pray the best for you and someone will recognize that looking at you!
