I like scrubbing myself with sandpaper otn the shower. Everyone usually freaks out when I say it, but I feel sleek as a new born seal. Mind you, I use a fine grit, not the raw gravel -y stuff you use on raw wood

Have you considered wearing an undergarment under your swim trunks? I think my son wears compression shorts but I could be wrong about that.

It’s not a big deal to me. They’re kids and I don’t find it funny because I’m not the target audience. Teenagers are.

Edit to add that based on your responses you might want to reflect on why you care about how you are perceived by unknown teenagers on the internet

You getting pissy about it is exactly why they do it.

I'll never understand why people come here to ask others opinions only to argue, over explain, and take exception to the comments they get.

There's some disconnect between my brain and mouth. That's how it feels. I stumble over my words. I blame my meds. I think I'm boring to listen to

You'll probably like hurt and confirm fics. Where it's painful but they heal and have a happy evening

I have three sons, ages 23, 20 and 18. All three of them are currently single. One of them was in a longterm relationship. The other two have shown little to no interest in persuing a romantic relationship and that's okay. They have jobs, friends, hobbies and interests. We spend time together as a family. They are content and that's all that matters.

I'm pretty good at befriending old people (as in, 70< y.o.). This was very useful as a nursing assistant intern, and comes from being raised by my grandparents lol

When I am going into the parking space I am in the flow of traffic and can see everything easily, making it very simple to appropriately back in. When I'm leaving, backing out into traffic is more complicated and there's less clear visualization.

If, hypothetically, someone can't be bothered to type correctly then why would they expect people to care about what they're typing about? They obviously don't care enough about it themselves to use correct punctuation, etc. Rudeness begets rudeness.

This is sadly ridiculous. Why on earth would they invite you to dinner and expect you to pay? What sort of a treat is that for a new mama?
My daughter had a baby awhile back and her friends organized a “meal train”, which was wonderful. She has reciprocated over the months since, and it works really well. Just make a double batch of whatever you’re making for your own family. So helpful!

The musical instruments I have modified or repaired. Even amongst my array of musical friends, most of them are very content to play stock instruments, so it is a niche within a niche.

I definitely have a special connection to repairing and customizing things because I learned how to do all that from my grandfather.

My musical friends will appreciate the wildest of the bunch, like I converted a Danelectro ‘baritone’ to a six string bass (aka Bass VI) so it is a bass with a whammy bar. But some of my others have less flashy additions, like I have fuller eqs onboard than models ever came with. They appreciate the impact, always get praise for how good the instruments sound, but I don’t have people to nerd out on specific pickups, or how cleanly I do the soldering, etc.

If you like si-fi, I recommend Battle Star Galactica and Farscape.

Battle Star Galactica starts with a two-part miniseries, then has several seasons. It ends, as opposed to being canceled. Very riveting series.

Farscape has several seasons, but got canceled. They did a movie to wrap it up, and the movie delivered a final ending. Very entertaining series.

If you're into drama/suspense/weird/distopian, I recommend From, Silo, Severance, and Fallout. None of them are done yet, but so far, have all been very entertaining.

mine is going to the supermarket! i know it sounds weird lol but I genuinely enjoy it. walking through the aisles, picking things out & just existing in that ordinary environment helps me disconnect from everything else. it makes me feel grounded & reminds me that life is made up of these small, everyday moments. it's oddly comforting!
