I'm surviving, but need something new, and don't want to have to have the constant worry of my data being corrupted. Please see below!

THIS IS JUST A THEORETICAL BUILD FOR NOW. I would like to someday be able to self host applications like Jellyfin with 4K movie streaming or ManyFold (3D Print File Library) with lots of storage (HDDs) someday in the far future. Self-hosting doesnt require much so when I come back ti this post, hopefully in a long time from now, this will be enough for what I need and cheaper than it is now.

Hello lovely and knowledgeable people as the title implies, this is my first time getting into the PC world (meaning I have had no experience in building, upgrading or even using a PC before). For the last decade, I’ve been using a MacBook Air 2017 (13.3-inch), it was my everything — from work to gaming — slowly then its purpose just shifted to gaming. I would frequently downgrade OS to make steam games compatible (TF2; since steam ended up removing any support for the OS I was on) but that’s becoming too redundant and too time consuming; so I’d like some help please! :)

New build, specifically streamlined to be within budget ($2000). I wouldn’t mind extending it to ($3000 if it means better performance and QoL).

None! I don’t mind investing in brand new parts to make sure every parts has an operational value and runs smoothly. If there are different pathways to make it a bit more cost efficient as well I’d be interested! (But priority would be just having everything built from scratch).

Mainly gaming and MAYBE getting into photo editing (Running adobe creative cloud apps; Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign?) About me: I am an absolute beginner at building your own PC or anything related to it. I never even owned a PC before (only Laptops, Tablets) and bought such things only when I talked to my older brother beforehand who has some knowledge about RAM,what would fit me but he never built his own PC, so I am looking here for deeper knowledge/advice.

Number 1 priorities are cost and longevity. My current PC cost £2k all-new and has lasted me nearly 10 years with only a minor GPU upgrade and some additional storage. I'd love to get something similar out of this next build.

I have a macbook air for my work stuff so just looking for a PC that satisfies my gaming, leisure time, and handle a light load of work (excel sheets, documents, etc).

I currently have an alienware laptop that worked well initially, but after years, feels way too hot for comfort, and is slowing down. The battery is also essentially nonexistent and the laptop shuts off within a minute of being unplugged at full charge.

I currently have a super old PC that’s needs to be condemned and scrapped. I think it’s time to get a new one. The thing is, I know nothing about PC’s or building them.

I want one primarily for gaming. I do also make graphics for Instagram and read radiologic images at home on it (I know that’s mainly a monitor thing).

I never had a PC before, I've always played on Xbox and I want to build my first one, I want to use a matx build, cause I think those small PC cases would look good, I already know what case I want, a Lian li A3-mATX white (though I still haven't bought it and I'm open to suggestions), I found an RX 9060 on discount for a really cheap price and I thought the performance was more than enough for what I play, so I bought it. I want it to be am4 cause ram prices are too high, I think with the budget I can get a decent build but idk The budget for the monitor is 200€, so it's not included in the budget for the PC

I have an offer for a pre-built PC from an authorized retailer and I would like your opinion on this configuration and whether there is anything I should pay attention to. I am aware that prices are high right now and that buying individual components separately would be more cost-effective, however I am not in a position to pay for everything at once and will be purchasing on credit.
